about the part that starts around 4:30 : as talented as JD is, the thing I'm most jealous of the most is that he could find a musical partner that gets him on that level as DOMi. Musically they were made for each other, and you can hear they inspire each other: when he gets in the zone, she starts her wild solo. And you can see that in other videos of them too: when one of them gets off, the other soon follows.

He has a very rigid DIY/indie approach, which I respect and appreciate as an old post-punk, but all his self-released bedroom laptop recorded albums sound unfinished and crappy sonically. I am longing for a MonoNeon album recorded in a real studio, properly engineered and mastered, with a full band, with more developed arrangements etc. More like this.

yo. this music is great no doubt. but what i think is brilliant is how that little 6" splash on the snare drum responds to the intensity of his stroke, so that accented hits have a longer ringing sustain (which is quickly choked when the splash falls back on the snare) and the ghostnotes remain choked by the weight of the splash. but that ring is also partly the sustain of the splash for the moment that it's in the air. BRILLIANT!!!!

Hey, Zildjian decision makers! Let's get this and the other tracks and publish a limited edition set on CD and digital download your listeners can buy! These sets are the best thing on CZcams.

I am sitting here with tear of joy in my eyes. The talent on the stage is of Everest proportions. The admiration of the audience is as colossal as all of the seven seas. I share nothing but joy, appreciation and admiration of JD and Domi, and all of the band, and I hope that before my life ends I have the opportunity of seeing them live, and giving hi 5's to them both.
