    I would like to point out the famine wasn't directly CAUSED by Britain but by mostly of the Anglo land owners seeing worker conditions (in most parts) where poor true England didn't provide clothing and other necessities but was mostly caused by disease that destroyed the countryside and there most precious crop the potato

      The English couldn't really predict the cold, the potato crops died from the cold, but since there was no surplus since the Anglo-Irish exported it all, famine struck

    Irish fought against the Americans in the American revolution mainly only some fought for the patriots

    Way more than 400k died in the famine and way more than 150k died. Don't know what source you're using but it's very wrong. Around 1 million died and 2 million left and Irelands population shrank from 8 million to something around 5 million. Ireland hasn't recovered from the famine (population wise) to this day

      Wrong Famine, You're talking about the famine I covered on episode 5, this is the 4th episode, Ireland has had more than one famine
