What I like was the fact knife making is going strong and the young ones are jumping in with all 4rs. Happy Trails

13:37 I know this guy, he does like Yoriichi’s Katana, but don’t worry, I did comment it about the lore because THAT katana doesn’t have a signature name of the Sword Smith, which is unknown. (Based on Japan’s history, they’re endless katanas have been made without their signature names become unknown)

Love the look of jp's#1, Terrell silver#2, I'm sure using a soft metal like silver in the blade makes it more challenging to work with.

Couldn't decide my favorite if i tried, but i can say that the roud-ish handles from the "anime" and "short zatoichi" are not my cup of sake, i'm phobic of round handles on edged weapons, amazing job all around

Just wondering if there might be an unintentional slip that Red Beard Ops is not in the participants list, even though he is in your video?

Just for the record, Njord is pronounced more like knee-ord, with a hint of a "yuh" sound in there. If you pronounce it in one syllable you should be fine!
Njord artisan, if you see this and im wrong, sorry im just going off what i know of nordic languages.

If they cut out the blade and ground it to shape, in my opinion is a disqualification. Not knocking it I understand why it’s done.

  • @rytramprophet843

i only have ONE rule when it comes to making Japanese blades. If you just take flat bar or leaf spring and cut the shape out and grind it to a blade than you are being lazy and disrespecting the art and culture that invented these blades. At least put in a little effort to forge the blade out of a billet. A Japanese blade has a Hamon. You can't get that from just shaping a blade from a bar. anyone with tools can do that. Show us that you are a real smith.
