By now you have definitely at least heard about the new Light emperor from the other side of Azeroth. However new info reveals that not only is this empire bathed in the light, incredibly powerful and force to be reckoned with but they in fact may not be so nice. As the dialogue states they wouldn't take kindly to a lot of our races and classes from the Horde and the Alliance.
The Hallowfall humans are just a tiny expedition and this Emperor from the other continent is very likely closely related to the Naaru as he is getting their visions. Last time a light army got very powerful, alternate Drenor fell. Are these guys going to be the new villains and is this going to be like Yrel's army that has been building up power on Azeroth without us even knowing? They considered themselves the Arathi Empire, the light army is confirmed to come in Midnight and if these guys return to their homeland they might not take kindly to the worgen or the forsaken occupying it. Could the fanatical scarlet's find a new ally and are we in for an actual light crusade in the very near future?

@@Doronsmovies The problem in fantasy in general is that villains are just brainless evil guys doing their bad stuff.. not complicated manipulators and tricksters. I believe that a smart "evil" politician is more interesting for the lore than the classic evil dude that laughs at enemies from the top of his tower, underestimating them. From my perspective recent villans like Iridikron and the Harbinger are more intersting than others, like Fyrakk (a filler character) and the Jailer, which is a lowpoint in the wow lore..

There doesn't appear to be any vacant throne anywhere which the arathi emperor is claiming... so no.... doesn't seem connected. Meanwhile, Talanji and Turalyon both fit the description. Maybe even Calia also, except she does not want to claim any throne.

If I speculate that the quote about a golden one and a vacant throne means the blue radish team will win the world series.....and you say there doesn't seem to be any connection there; if I come back with "well it is speculation" that doesn't give it any justification or gain in knowledge. It all becomes unfalsifiable flim flam, unfortunately.
I hope we get to see a fight and more moments where anduins link to his dad thru shalamayne show cases his warrior arc more. That whould make me so proud :*). Like primal anduin.
This is an interesting idea, especially if it leads up to the long awaited fracturing of the Alliance. It also has the potential for a new take on the faction conflict, but have as the Horde and a fractured Alliance vs the Light Empire and those who share its beliefs. Definitely curious to see what comes next.
Maybe pertaining to Anduin having used Shadowpriest powers during the Jade forest storyline? He casted fear to dozens of hozen, and mind control on a dwarf tasked to pick him up.

Ok first things first, the most important, Where do i sign up??? My paladin is ready to serve the Emperor!
Second, I really feel like ressurecting Whitemane as a death knight was an lost opportunity, especially now, I wish they had let her be. It would have been so much better if this Light Emperor had ressurected her into the light or something like that, and have her be full on fanatical and once again lead the Scarlet Crusade in the Eastern Kingdom as one more fanatical wing of their empire to bring the empire to the eastern kingdom.
Kills her and does the strange light necromantic res thing, possible but probably not.
I really hope they're not enemies. I'm tired of the rug pulling of "surprise, these guys are baddies"
Last titan is controlled by the light emperor and defeats the void but then tries to control Azeroth and destroys all the other titans

My humble theory is that what feels like 15 years for the Hollowfall expedition is really more like 1200 years. The emperor heard the voice of a fallen Naaru ship that is being contaminated by void entities which is the day night cycle and when they went to find it they were teleported into the future somehow.

This is going to be a Zandalar situation 100%, we'll end up having to fight the light zealot emperor but some of the Arathi will join us against him in a civil war. I wish they prove me wrong and something more interesting happens but I highly doubt it. Even so, if the writing is good it might be cool and badass but my faith in the writing team is pretty low at the moment.
But the Zandalar thing was completely different. The Horde fought alongside The Emperor.
The better comparison is Revendreath.
@@javelinmaster2 I didn't play shadowlands so idk, but the aliance can fight alongside the light emperor until they find out the light zealotry thing is bad, right now Velen and Turalyon are very light zealot aligned.

@@Phantom19913 Sure, since legion and his conversations with Illidan he's starting to be less of a Zealot but when a Naaru tells him to turn against us he's going to have a hard time deciding xD that's why I'm saying we might have a bit of a confrontation with them at least initially.
@Kross415 My prediction....... this other Arathi empire is not from our Azeroth or our present. They come from either an alternate Azeroth or the Past/Future of our Azeroth and got teleported here instantaneously by that naaru and they've only been here on our world for 15 years, just this small crew in hallowfall.
Maybe that's why Anduin doesn't F w/ the Light anymore, he knows.
I think the big mystery is with all the technology and magic that we have how the fuck they kept quiet and mysterious for so long with out anybody knowing about. Also, why did they stay silent when would ending events were happening if we would lost in those battles the world of burned or blow up lol.

Maybe Rhonin casting that sky spell when we defeated Algalon? That's canon, right? While we're on that, shouldn't the Council of Six know all about, like, all of this?

@stealplow8462 Since we have so little information yet....... is there anything you can think of that would prove they have to come from somewhere else on our planet? As opposed to from an alternate version of Azeroth, or a Time Travel Past/Future of Azeroth ? They did not actually travel normally in their airship from normal place A to normal place B..... they were magically teleported instantaneously by a naaru who have already demonstrated they have Dimension Jumping Spaceships and prophetic knowledge of Timelines. For all we know, that Arathi Empire was from the Azeroth that existed in the alternate draenor WoD universe....but which had no connection by any portals to that Draenor in that universe. And the small crew that we find in hallowfall could have been teleported to our Azeroth only 15 years in our past, so they could be in that cavern when that naaru crystal needed them.
They might follow a story similar to that in Star Wars: The Old Republic: Knights of the Fallen Empire. The Light Emperor conquers all of Azeroth, and at the end of the Last Titan expansion, we completely free Azeroth of him.

@@Alarak87 It's the Danuser writing for nathrezim and denathrius and the "infiltration" book in game which you can read.... combined with the Lothraxion involvement in both the Priest and Paladin artifact weapon campaigns in Legion.... followed by them removing any dialogue options at all with him when you click him on the Xenedar once that infiltration book was found.

That’s a big question. But nobody will know for sure before the Last Titan expac. If the Arathi live in Avaloren, then we know that the titans consider them as « heretics ». Why ? And there is that mysterious Ill’ginoth prophecy : « The golden one claims a vacant throne. The crown of light will bring only darkness. » could this refers to the emperor ? I don’t trust the emperor. I wouldn’t be surprised if, once the void repelled, he tried to reclaim the throne of the alliance as his own.

This has huge potential for good lore story.
If they have arcane magic taught by elves, I highly, highly doubt that the blue dragons or any of the mage can't sense them at all. But I guess that's one way to add a new continent.
Have you considered the possibility that there isn't a new continent for these Arathi? That maybe they come from an alternate Azeroth in some other timeline..... and/or the distant past or distant future of our world....? And that the small crew that showed up 15 years ago in hallowfall is just stranded here? (until a possible second raid when Jaina teaches their only mage how to open portals)

Literally in the quest dialogue on the alpha for war within, the character Faerun and Anduin are talking, and she mentions her Light Emperor back home..... has nothing to do with the army of the light at all. The new Arathi empire are not light forged. It is not about Turalyon.

It's not about good or evil necessarily, it's about intentions and actions. I think it's really about the individual having the potential to draw on these cosmological forces and what they do with them. Balance, as it were.
@mikebetsanes9830 very true then by all accounts that make the Titans almost the Ultimate Beings in regards to Balance for the other Cosmological Beings as for the most parts they left Azeroth alone and Abandoned only stopping a imbalance of a Cosmological Force. Like the natives of the Elementals or the Un invited invading beings of the Void and so on. While the Titans are not the best, they may be the Cosmological Forces to Balance the others.
What bothers me slightly. Why would they be a threat?
The current factions are tempered by years of war against Illidan, Lich King, The burning Legion and the Void.

Yeah, good writing... Let's make the old good guys that were always good, bad and the really bad guys, good, because they were misunderstood... Good writing! On the same level as the majority of all writers of today's entertainment... Make the good bad and vice versa and retcon the lore. Disney has done it to Cruella and other characters like Maleficent and countless studios and companies do this shit AND 80% of writers believe if they do this, they "subvert expectations" of the audiences and is "good writting".. These writers have lost the good vs bad trope, they only write "morally grey characters"... And I could say they are driven by some force to write this way, but I will digress...

Its more a matter of what we or the npc's do rather than which faction is the good one.
You have people like Khadgar and Thrall who overcome the bonds of factions to do whats right when needed.

one thing id like to see when we go to the otherside is that the scourge was there aswell and fucked some shit up but left after getting what the LK needed, the legion ALSO was there at points, that the alliance and horde have been there before (random groups who just wind up there) and those groups no longer fight against each other but together, new dragonflight colors and abilities, now these can be done through the caverns of time (or a new caverns of time that wasnt discovered till we went there since they have no time dragons, on their side of the planet that we use to find out what happened in the past here.) and some could be not in caverns of time, just connect them in mild small ways that also show how strong they are that they have been able to fend off all these people for so long alone. maybe some new races to play as to and some crazy lore weapons stuff like ashbringer some epic shit

The concept of Horde and alliance should be scrapped entirely. I Just want to see every faction fight to better its own empire. Would be more fun instead of teaming up and always defeating a common enemy. Im tired of that plot type story telling. I just want to see warhammer 40k brutality. A death knight or undead shouldnt be living among humans. They should be fanatical zealots that spare nothing. I havent subbed after shadowland because of danucers writing skills. Lets hope this new writer does a better job ..... This game has potential.
What I find interesting though is that there is an entire "Light Empire" on Azeroth which is basically exactly opposite of where the Old "Black Empire" used to be :/
