  • Alex first right last summer 2017 on my old motorcycle from I had in High School. I has sold it to a farmer 23 years ago when I moved from North Dakota to Arizona. He mostly just left it in the back of a barn so my son Alex bought it back for the same price as I sold to 23 years ago. So Cool. It should be fun restoration project.

    Go for it! I just started restoring my SV650 which has been lying up in a damp shed for 10 years. Lots of fun!

      I wish I know as much about restoring motorcycles as Dino. I'll try to make them more of a shade tree essentials only repair videos. Thanks.

      True, I"m very excited for Alex. I know I had a ton of fun on this bike when I was a teen. Just have to get it running real good with new rubber again.

    My brother had a Kawasaki 650 that he let me use exclusively for two summers thirty-some years ago. Had some great rides, never put her down once, but truth be told may be lucky to be alive (please warn your son how just a small stone on cornering can put two wheels down in the blink of an eye). Yes, would definitely love to see you do some carb repair, motorcycle maintenance, and maybe an electronics mod/hack or two.

      Good points Mike. I have already showed him how to lookout for gravel an those schmutz piles near corners and lane changes. We are setting this up as a scrabbler so it will have multi multipurpose tires for mostly slower off road riding at slow speeds. Still he needs to respect it. I took a few spills in my time so I know just what you are warning about.

    ....... Can't lose spending time & money on this. a family asset when completed.
    tires would be very hard/cracks ? wonder if you can replace with something that looks the part ?

    • @ToddFun
      @ToddFun  Před 6 lety

      I agree, just love having this back in the family. I have ordered multipurpose tires fit to make this more of a scrabbler bike which is how I always used it and my son wants to do the same.

    Would love to see a restoration video on it. My first bike was a 1978 KZ1000 LTD. Scrapyard near me has a 1978 KZ 750 been trying to buy off them.

      She's all done as of June. My son was riding it all summer until it snowed. I took lots of video so I really should edit and post it over the winter.
