"reason is not automatic therefore it cannot be used to defeat those who deny it. " -Rand. Translation... don't try and logically explain yourself to a liberal. It's 30 seconds of your life you'll never get back lol.
..... why you gotta be like this man, this comment shows everything that's wrong with politics in our country. liberals/conservatives are both the same in the way you're describing here only difference is your/their perspective & this attitude only makes it worse #sad (generally speaking of course this specific "topic" is pretty straight forward for anyone to get)
WTF does a person's political preference have to do with making a deer feeder???
AMEN!!!
I always look at some comments before I watch a video. I just seen yours and I must say I have found that to be true. And I see some people have said your comment is “what’s wrong with this country “ lolol
The people who say that are the ones who don’t realize they’re getting played.
Anyone who thinks your comment is what’s wrong has a lot of catching up to do.
Be sure to drill some 1/4 " holes in the bottom of the bottom cap to let any moisture drain out. Great video, thanks.
You handled educating people who are ignorant of hunting very well. I am not a hunter. In fact we run a wildlife preserve in 35 Acre Farm that we have. We feed the animals here to and I liked your deer feeder and I'm going to build one today. What people have to understand who never hunt is it goes much deeper than that. Not only are you doing what comes naturally to you over hundreds of thousands of years, minus the gun of course, you are going outside and you're not staring into a TV. You are helping the total deer population to survive and not suffer and die. Taking a couple of deer out of a herd and yet helping that hurts survive it's great! Thanks for the video and good luck.
I'm a 68 year old woman and I started hunting 6 or 7 years ago with a crossbow. I love your feeder and will be making some for my deer. Thanks for sharing.
I hope it has worked out well for you!
I have never been a hunter nor desire to be. I'm here because deer frequently show up in my suburban neighborhood. Obviously, they are seeking food and I want to provide them some and they're fun to watch. Thank goodness there are people who like to hunt and the deer don't starve from overpopulation. There is no where close to my home for hunting so this is great for those animals that may not make it otherwise. Thanks!
Thats awesome. They'll love it. Thanks for watching!
Genius with the peanut butter. Been hunting 45 years and that was awesome. Love the feeder. Thanks for the work.
You mentioned that some people said you should go to the grocery store for your food so nothing has to be killed. Where do they think the meat in the grocery store comes from? I don't hunt and even I understand the need for conservation and the good stewardship of the environment. I believe you when you say that you most likely help more deer stay alive through the winter months, than you take hunting.
"some people said you should go to the grocery store for your food so nothing has to be killed..." we are in trouble and I mean serious trouble, we're surrounded by clueless people :-(
There is not an Animal Rights guru, or Anti-Hunting activist anywhere that doesn’t have TURKEY for Thanksgiving dinner!
If you really care about wild animals, you need to buy habitat (land) for them! If you can’t afford to buy land, join an organization, like The Nature Conservancy, that can! Being an anti hunter is worthless! There are more deer killed by cars than hunters! Thanks
@@rayhitt5564 Nationally hunters kill 6 million deer per year and 1.5 million are hit by cars so your statement is false. I'm a contributor to the 6 million. I hunt in Mississippi. Unfortunately my wife is a contributor in the 1.5 million as she has hit two in the last 5 years causing major damage and killing both.
they think i ts flown in on ufo lol
Man listen here, my name is Kenny that was definitely one of the coolest videos I’ve ever seen, thank you for sharing,
Thanks Kenny!
Don’t worry about the haters my friend, keep doing what you’re doing! 👍🏼
Absolutely fantastic video! I'm making this feeder tomorrow! Plus, the peanut butter idea is great! Thanks!
Loved your ideas, and comments. The Lord gave us deer elk and many other animals for food. He doesn't have a problem with it. And neither do I. Bless you bro. Enjoy your hunt.
Thanks for the video. Great idea, and I think you're right about the 6" pipe being a bit better. And we do the same thing with pears from out tree. Awesome idea about the peanut butter!
aWESOME VIDEO. THANK YOU FOR TAKING THE TIME TO SHARE IT!
Excellent practical feeder! We do the peanut butter thing here in Alabama too. A couple of simple things I did to the feeder:: Put a drain screen in the bottom, eliminating the extension and cap. Also placed a 16oz drink bottle in the bottom to help disperse the corn and keep less in the bottom. Turned upside down. Enjoyed your video!
Great vid, I made this today and as an end cap for the bottom piece i used one of those red plugs with the butterfly nut, to tighten and loosen pu by hand. Which flushes out the bottom
Really nicely done. I agree with the other commentators regarding the holes in the bottom cap. I really liked your paint job.
Thanks for the video, we are going to make a few of these feeders. The peanut butter jar trick is so simple and easy, great idea. Good luck and keep sharing!
Very good video. Thanks for posting. What a great inexpensive way to make a gravity deer feeder!👍👍👍
I figured you would drill some holes in the bottoms for water to drain out bc some water can get in the opening there.
Most I’ve seen have the holes in the bottoms for that reason.
2018... 40 oz peanut butter at Dollar General is now 2 for $7.00. Still a good deal. And I agree that feeding deer in the winter improves deer vitality and health. Also if you let bucks with less then 6 point go it will also improve deer quality over time To save $ buy 6" sewer and drain pipe from your local hardware store. Lowe's and Home Depot charge $54.00 for a 6" wye locally. $24 dollars for the same sewer and drain at my True Value store. BTW the peanut butter trick really does work. I even have black bears on camera eating it. Great video and a new sub. Good job
Liked the video. I will add a design change that you haven't considered. I use a plastic drain screen for the bottom of my static tube feeders. They sell them in the plumbing & irrigation Dept. at any Home Depot or Lowes. That way when it rains you won't get water filling up your tube and it will keep your corn from sitting in water. Rain will drain out the bottom and the corn stays fresh. I use either stainless screws to put everything together with or pop rivets. I use a clean out cap for the top that screws on and screws off. Wont leak. Some times I have to use a wrench to get it going when I have to remove it but it beats having to try and wiggle a cap off. I don't like using any glue because I have had it where glue has failed plus the odor. Im going to try and use 6" diameter pipe for my next one I do. That and get a metal 5 gallon bucket with the trap mounted to the bottom for more feed plus the 6-8' tube it won't get emptied as often.
Excellent idea, I made 2 of them. Got meat in the freezer. Thank you for sharing.
Love your idea ♥️♥️♥️ We will our own feeder just like what you made. The peanut butter is a great idea. Thank you
Good for you pal I'm from new Brunswick Canada the northern deer herds here have a hard time in winter I see nothing rong with helping out the deer great video you seem like a really nice young man thank's again
Thanks for the kind words!
Ignore those people talking about 'tricking the deer'. Large deer populations can devastate an area, stripping away everything green from the ground up to about five feet, and you're hunting for food not wiping out an entire species for sport. Just ignore them. I like your idea and this is a good vid. My only concern would be rain getting into the opening where the deer eat from.
Thanks. The dense canopy of the trees helps a little with the rain but the raccoons keep the stuff fresh at the opening lol
Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I just purchased some property of my own and was planning what to do for feeders. This is the method I will use.
I hope its worked out well for you!
love this idea, thanks for the info i will try this on my land
Great idea. here in Michigan we have a 2 gallon limit. So I'll be making a couple of these. thanks
Real good idea, I’ll probably go with a 6” wide as well. Never seen the peanut butter idea, brilliant. Will help the Does and their fawns that usually stay on my property, hopefully I can get a buck in.
Thanks. I enjoyed your comment. Takes all kinds to make a fruit basket. I going to try both of these.
Great video,,,,,I am going to make a couple this weekend....Keep them coming
Great video, I am going to add this on my land next season.
Awesome plan I’m trying your technique this year as well. I’m n Indiana and can’t bait during season but we can up until a few weeks before season. Begins. If we use mineral or salt blocks the dirt must be dug up as well. This is a perfect way to feed and attract deer all year and then remove before season. Grear idea and a well explained video. I thank you for sharing. Don’t worry about the nay sayers. They have no clue. The same negative people go the the butcher shop or store to by meet that a farmer purposely fed and raised only to be slaughterd so these nay sayers can eat it. Talk about a double standard lol. Thanks again and good luck this season to yo7 and all the fellow hunters.
Randy Krock I’m in Indiana to, I believe any food/soil has to be removed 10 days before hunting that spot. You can still feed during season, just can’t hunt over that spot
This is great. Glad I found this.
Great video good. Idea. I will make one. Brother, and. Keep on doing more. Videos, and good hunting, and don't pay attention to those. People,, they always be around, like Jesus. Said leve them alone they don't know what. They doing.
Thanks I'll making this set up for my deer lease.
Great video and tips, you got me excited! Deer are great to look at, but quite honestly they are just a food source!
I love it . post more videos of other styles whenever you get more ideas!
Right on!!,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,I have made similar feeders for years and the same as the peanut butter,,,I also make a mollassass based liquid feed that i soak our aaples from our trees and ur right about feeding them thru the winter. MY DEER EAT WELL and they provide me with meat,,GREAT VIDEO
well done, thanks for the feeder tips!
Great video....a suggestion for ya though...the cap on the bottom of the feeder might could use a couple 1/4" drain holes to drain off water getting in the y
Love it! Thanks for sharing
I’m gonna make a couple of those deer feeders. Keep feeding those deers, ignorant people are always gonna be negative or have something to say. 🤙🏽🤙🏽
Thanks for sharing. I can't wait for my husband to make this.
Hope it works well for you!
Thanks for the feeder info...
I love the feeder looks great ilove watching nature wildlife in my backyard i feed all wildlife here in tenn i feed them all I really appreciate this video cuz I'm going to make the feeder tomorrow next time make some deer water holes good jod
Good explained!! Will definately build it!
I hunt mulies in Southwest Texas panhandle and if it wasn’t for some of us hunters the deer population would not be what it is. The winters are harsh here not to much snow but we do get very dry winters killing just about every bit of forage these deer have. So when it comes to us hunters we put out as many feeders we can. I don’t like to hunt on food plots or near feeders so I find the trails they use to get to the plots. Keep up what ur doing.
I'm going to make one. Thanks!!
Nice video thanks for your time and keep them coming please deer tricks and tips :)
Amen brother that's exactly how I make my feeders
nice project, I will use this as a pet feeder.
you eat your pets???
Awesome job Brother sweet setup!!! don’t worry about the hateturds 😂😂
i put one of these up today. great vid, i subed. would love to see a video with trail cam footage of all the traffic you have coming thru!
These are a great idea, building a couple today!
Just saw your video. Love it. I'll do it
This was a awesome video thanks for sharing your tips man
Great ideas and I love the peanut butter feeder :-)
Great tips! Thanks!
Awesome video thanks for sharing!
Great Videos, here in Kansas it legal to bait. Racoons remove jars of PB from the trees. So much farming here they are like small cows. I use corn, apples & pears also, we have fruit trees. Nothing like going to mother natures grocery store!
Nice info on deer feeding options
Awesome idea
Also might not be a bad idea to put some drain holes in the bottom cap to drain out any water that still may get in. If there is any water standing in the bottom is will get moldy.
If you don’t like what this guy is doing turn it off, morons
Preying Mathis . I agree
He didn't say he didn't like it
exactly...i thought same thing...
scott kern thank u
Love the peanut butter idea too!
Thanks it works awesome! They love it!
Great video. Btw...don’t waste your time with the haters. The haters are not being honest or are really ignorant. You are honest... thanks for the video.
Good Job buddy I do stand behind you on baiting deer , you do help a lot more deer to survive than you kill, if others are against baiting well then they dont have to,, baiting just help you control your success just as deer calls trick other deer so to those who dont agree with baiting, get over it
Nice video....keep posting for the MANY of us that like them and not for the few who don't
Will do James. Thanks!
how many deer will one feeder feed ? just one or do they take turns
CopingWithTheTimes
Depending on the size PVC you use, I suppose more than one could fit in there, although I havent seen it. Im sure you could adapt the design to just about anything you want.
will they take turns ? have you seen on camera ?
nice video we got one of those we made and they work great.
That paint job looks good
Great video, love the peanut butter trick also
Pretty cool project.
+wyattoneable Thanks bud! Thanks for always watching and commenting!
great idea thanks for help
That’s great God bless you
Great tips man thanks!
Thank you for explaining to ignorant people while hunters use food. I'm from new jersey where it is legal, and controlling the population is necessary... which is why the state loves hunters, but when you feed deer throughout the year it keeps them healthier, stronger, and builds up their immune system and anti hunters don't see that aspect of it. So thank you for explaining that. I will also be using the peanut butter and deer feeder tactic they're awesome!
Dang you have the whole Chinese buffet out there for the deer 😂😂
thanks for this!!
Great tips thanks !!
I liked your video thx for sharing I think this kind of gravity feeders is what should be using in some areas of my lease
Awesome video bro! Great tips!
Ha, we have gotten so far away from reality today. Some of the comments. Another great video. Thanks for sharing!
+Life in Farmland Thanks bud. I appreciate it.
Great paint job!
Awesome job.
Man I really enjoyed this video. Best wishes and good hunting
Great idea for a set up on a hunting property to attract a lot of deer
Do you also set up salt licks and hinge cut trees?
Great video. I am wondering how much of the corn feeds deer and how much really feed squirrels, raccoons and rats?
Nice video. Like the PB idea.
How about a simple rain brim up the pipe a little ways to keep the rain out of the Y feed tube? Or holes in the bottom cap to allow to run out the bottom?
I dont really have much issue with rain but I did try something similar to what youre mentioning. I cut a piece of a mudflap from a big truck and screwed it about a foot above the opening with some self tapping screws. Kind of made a semi-circle awning over it for lack of a better word. Seems to work pretty well
That is awesome. Going to make me one
Where do they think the food from the grocery store comes from??🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️ love the video man, I’m gonna be trying this out this year👍🏻👍🏻
Those kind of people are clueless lol. Good luck with it!
I have the same feeders only thing I did different is I drilled small holes in the bottom for water going in the 45.
I'm trying to stop the hogs from eating my corn. Do y'all think this will work if I hang it high enough? Thanks in advance
nice job
Thanks!
Try corrugated drain pipe, no painting necessary and you can make it hold a whole 50lb bag. Great video.
Yeah. You should just get ur food from the store! No one should kill plants just to eat! LMAO! Great video. Th a k you for sharing.
Looks good hope bring in the big one! Good luck and thanks for sharing God bless brother
+cokeman250 Thats what she said? :D
Good job thanks
Great video
