    She takes it to the next level - and then some. My dream - to be in an Irish pub when this band materializes and the voice of an angel carries me through the night.

    My woman was from Dublin and I often feel more Irish than Italian, even though I'm a teetotaler. You have Saint Patrick, We have Saint Francis. Do you know what was the most beautiful sentence that St. Francis uttered? He said: Love is not loved. Now, you are much more good than me, I played good but you 10 times better. I hope he can return to Ireland to play with you. A hug from Tuscany.

    I wish i knew how to pronounce her name!

    • @AngelShadowsongWarren
      @AngelShadowsongWarren Před 3 měsíci

      Im a Filipino currently learning Irish Gaelic (Gaeilge)
      Using international phonetics alphabet (IPA)
      her name would be pronounced as (as I hear it)
      mʷɪɾʲən̪ˠ nʲɪc aʊl̪ʲiːv
      Of course there are 3 major dialects in Ireland and 32 counties in Ireland. There also exist 32,000 Irish accents😂😂😂 so her name pronounciation would vary.😅😅😅
      mʷɪɾʲən̪ˠ would sound like
      Mwih-ren or Mwih- ruhn = Muh-wih- ren/ruhn
      /Muh/is very short that glides faster towards /wih/
      kinda sound like /twig/ but remove the /g/ and replace /t/ with /m/ so it becomes /Mwi/
      /Ren/or /Ruhn/ is tricky as Irish slender /R/ is very different than English R, it feels tapping your tongue lightly behind your teeth.
      Slender /R/ is like my struggle letter. The best way I would describe it to an English speaker is:
      Ulster Dialect would sound
      /Ry/ R with a glide of Y,
      Connacht Dialect would sound kinda a soft /D/
      Munster Dialect would sound kinda a soft D transitioning to soft J or Z.
      Nic= kinda like in the NICK of time.
      But again slender N sounds like N gliding with Y, like Nyic but very subtle Y.
      Some dialects dont emphasize the Y but some do.
      Aw-lyiv =
      Aw like /out/ without the /t/
      lyiv = is like /live/ but you insert a subtle /Y/ after /L/
      Hope this helps.

      Pretty sure it would be anglicized as Maureen McAuliffe. Our Filipino friend here could probably tell us if that's right.

    • @AngelShadowsongWarren
      @AngelShadowsongWarren Před 3 měsíci

      @@SleepingGiant77 Im not sure about the anglicized name. Anglicizing the name butchers the Irish pronounciation and meaning. Muireann has 2 meanings or possible origin based on what I have learned.
      Her name either means sea ( from Irish word /muir/) or (The Virgin) Mary ( Irish: Muire)
      Nic means the daughter of
      Based on studying the Irish culture, Irish people tend to wear their name like a badge of honor. Family name and family association is something to be taken with respect.
      I assume she is from Gaeltacht (Irish speaking) region and someone from there are proud Irish.
      I feel converting my name to English might not be treated well given the history of British governent on Irish people in the past.

    • @SleepingGiant77
      @SleepingGiant77 Před 3 měsíci

      @AngelShadowsongWarren understood, but I'm sure there are divided opinions on the subject. I was trying to tell the other poster that it has a form they may be familiar with, that's all.
