Thank you! ❤ I love this song, but Iris' version is very much done in A Style. Like Arturo, I first came to this song via the Greg Brown cover, which has a very different vibe! There's a lot in a few simple chords here, which is the real magic of the best country. Relative to the capo, the chord in the pause of the phrase is a Cmaj7 (as is tradition), and the chord after the phrase is an F9 (I'm pretty sure). Obviously I'm a big fan of both!
