What's going on family? I'm trying to get more involved about firearms and learn about them. In this video, I sit down with an ARMY vet to discuss the difference between the Springfield Armory Hellcat and the Taurus G2C. Watch the video and give your thoughts in the comments below.

My G2C NEVER has jammed once and NO malfunctions and almost 900 rounds have gone thru it. It eats all 9mm steel and brass ammo. Clean your firearms
As I said in the video it was the first time I've ever had a problem and I know I've had well over I don't know a buttload around of all kinds except for these reloads and this was the first time it's done it
I have over 2000 through my g2c.
Only 2 failure to fire, that was with 115 grain.
It loves 124 and 148 grain.
Only time my g2c has probs is when you slide release with short flat ammo
If manualy racked no probs
As a G2c brazilian owner I shoot almost 1500 round and haven’t seen any bad functions at all. Brazilians usually buys g2c because is more cheap. In Brazil g2c cost 3k and the hellcat cost 12k at least (I’m talking real brazilian currency), any ways. great budget gun. By the way: In Brazil g2c comes with hard plastic case and 3 magazines, not in the paper box as in US.
WHAT?!? You guys get a box? Is it like a Glock box?
In south africa they come in a hard case with 3 mags, great little gun, the g2c is reliable....and yes clean your gun.
I've shot both. And overall based on price I purchased the G2C. I have now 1000 rounds on the pistol. No jams of any kind thus far. As for the laser set up from Taurus. Black Friday I was able to get the Viridian Red Dot w/2 Mags for $100. I'm so confident thus far with the G2C as both a EDC and Home defense that I will probably buy a second G2C just for the house. Good Video Guys! New Sub.
We appreciate it.
G2C owner and have never had any problems with the gun and it feels great in the hand and extremely accurate. The Taurus is better in price .🔫
Price is very important.
Just watched this and wanted to give a little tip. When breaking down the G2c, you first need to pull the slide back, slightly, then pull the breakdown pins...the breakdown can happen in less than a second, when you slightly pull the slide back...
Cool. I'll let him know. I appreciate it.
Just like a glock
G2c is easy to take a part, and I got my for 230, and it runs steel really well, love Taurus, great vid
Can't beat that price. I appreciate it.
Well done! Thanks for the review.
Thank you sir. Thanks for watching.
Appreciate your support of my buddy and his channel
Like your gun videos. I’ve liked and therefore : SUBSCRIBED!
I appreciate it man.
The G2C is a great pistol at any price point!
I liked your video on the comparison of the two. The Taurus G2c breaks down very similar to a Glock. ( if not identical to one ). So don't let that keep you away from a G2c. I love mine, and I saved a grip of cash too!
I appreciate it man
Just bought my G2c Thursday. Get to pick it up this Thursday. First firearms purchase. Paid 245 came with 2 magazines. Looking forward to going to the range after this.
Dude ur coming with the heat c5 and pew pews epic content!
😂😂 I appreciate it man.
I bought my first gun, the G2C. I picked it up today. Paid $220 before taxes and shipping charges for it on Gunbroker. Mine is OD green. I love it. Haven't shot it yet. My ammo gets delivered tomorrow. I can't wait. The guy at the gun store talked me into getting better sights put on it which I'm doing next paycheck. Trilium night sights.
Good stuff. Let me know what you think about how it shoots
Love my g2c I protect it from rust it protects me from bad guys and bear cougar coyotes
I'm looking at both of these as my first micro compact.
I love my hellcat. Have you made a decision yet?
I love all 6 of my Taurus pistols. They are all accurate, reliable and eat everything I feed them. My G2C is my primary EDC. I have no problem field stripping my G2C. Pull the trigger and hold the slide back just slightly with your right hand. Pull down the tabs with the left and push the slide off with the right. If you hold the slide back too far you will need to pull the trigger again. Thanks for the video.
I appreciate the info. Thanks for watching.
If you pull the slide back a little, the two buttons pull all the way down on the G2C
Good to know
I carry a Sig Sauer p365 for EDC but I just got a brand new Taurus G3c for $215 (only 2 mags included tho). After 200 rounds, I feel like I robbed the seller. lol This pistol is amazing and runs hollow-points, rounds, and flat-nose like a hungry beast. It is a Glock 43x for half the price. YOU HAVE TO CLEAN AND OIL THE PISTOL BEFORE 1ST SHOTS!
I got mine for $250 with $100 rebate they had the Taurus g2's in Bloomington at the range CI Shooting. If you've never been I definitely recommend the trip they're very clean place very organized and lots of accessories and friendly and professional staff I didn't feel like I was being looked at like a criminal no signs on the doors and pull your pants up
You have to pull the slide back on the Taurus just a little bit then pull down on the 2 sides and when you let loose of the slide it won't go into battery, then you pull the trigger, and it will slide off. I can do mine just as fast as he did the hellcat, and after adding Lakeline stainless guide rod and stainless recoil spring etc. and a small amount of polishing the slide contact points and feed ramp I'd put mine against any hellcat or Glock! Btw when you add the Olight Baldr Mini RL, it has a light and laser built into the actual lens of the light and doesn't extend past the front of the barrel, and with my Workz light bearing IWB holster it is awesome, no print and even has a slot for the Olight magnetic charger to fit in while holstered. I also recommend a Hogue Rubber grip, and even with all that it's still cheaper than the hellcat with nothing! I paid 203, when they first came out and would've paid 450-500! Also, the factory G3 15rd and 17th mags fit, along with Sig p226 mags, and Canik TLR9 mags and they make all kinds of High cap aftermarket mags including a 50 round drum.
Changing out the plastic striker sleeve in the G2C will change the trigger travel for the better
Mine never jamed after I polished the feed ramp
My G2C has never jammed not once nor malfunctions. I have fired around 1000 rounds through it. I keep it cleanes and oiled.. I love the G2C...
That could definitely be the key.
Bought my G2c and love it. After 400 rounds or so I had no issues whatsoever
My EDC gun 2 years now.
Total I'm gonna guess I've put 2,500 rounds thru it and the only thing that's ever been an issue was mag springs
Best $220 I may have ever spent
That's impressive.
Taurus every time. But I own 7 and working on getting the TH10.
The market has an extended takedown part for the Taurus. It sticks out further so you can get it better.
I have the G3C and its a excellent pistol. Im a former army Infantryman or Rifleman 11bravo. I have a few pistols from a glock 48, glock 22, kimber colt 1911 ultra carry pro 2, Canik TP9 Elite Combat, and my Taurus G3c. While all my pistols are excellent pistols the Canik has the best trigger and shoots and runs the best 800$, 1500 kimber is the most high end and you can tell its a great handgun. My glocks are just that glocks dont much need to be said glock says it all. Now that G3C i got 229$ in with 3 mags and its ny EDC and my favorite gun to abuse and shoot the hell out of. Its never jammed or malfunctioned in anyway and ive put some cheap ass ammo through her and not one malfunction outta hundreds if not close to a thousand rounds now. Just a awesome little pistol, its not the the greatest trigger bit its not that bad either boit like a glock. If ya want a awesome stock trigger go with a canik especially the TP9 Elite Combat or the Elite combat SFX or the new mete9 comapq is also amazing and its only about 500$
I would like to reiterate we were using reloads from the range now I'm not saying they did a horrible job or anything like that. What I am saying is both firearms failed to go into battery due to the reloads. I cannot speak for my friend but I clean my weapon before I fire it and after I fire it
You can do an upgrade to g2c for just $35 replacing the plastic parts and will become a very trusted firearm, on ebay, metal recoir spring for $22, stainless steel fire pin striker $11
The G2c chamber is not as deep as most. Mine won’t chamber certain 124gr ammo. The depth the bullet isn’t seated in the case enough. Probably the same issue y’all had with the reloads. You can get the camber reamed deeper but I just check the ammo first by making sure it’ll easily drop in the barrel while taken apart.
looked to me to be more of a grip issue with the g2c. looked like they were limp wristing it a bit.
I own the g2c love it handles great one hiccup since i had it break in period dont own the hellcat yet hopefully one day i can have both
I'd like to see what you think about both of them. Have you shot one yet?
@@CadillacJones the g2c yes but not hellcat yet have to save some money first will keep you posted
I like the G3C 9mm very nice price and reliability too
I own two love this gun G2C
Oil is cheap. That gun wasn't going fully into battery. It's possible it's the guns fault. But more likely the magazines or lack of maintenance. Some people never clean their firearms, aside from just adding oil every now and then.
I'm surprised people add oil as opposed to cleaning.
When you break down the Taurus top hand pull back, two fingers on the release, and then pull hammer
Thank you for the insight.
I agree and I also have a Taurus G2C. He didn’t do it right when taking the gun apart which is why he failed multiple times. Mine always comes apart super easy and fast.
@@realind1v1dual1sm I have tried it the way you and him both say and absolutely easier. But still have problems pulling down the release.
I have done this with you guys and I beat both with my g2c
Now i had a g2 still got my g3 g2 got stolen but i love them both
Taurus for me.
So half the price and is as good as the expensive one? Just because it comes in a pouche it doesn't justify the difference.
I have the g2c and the g3 they spit out any ammo I’ve ran through it. I just got the hellcat pro can’t wait to shoot it.
Let me know which one you like more.
So u need to pull slide back very little then push both locks down and it will slide foward
I appreciate that.
I have the older pt111g2 basically the g2c no failures my vote g2c
The G2C isn't so bad. It also has a re strike capability. Meaning that if you come across a bad round, press the trigger again and it will send the round down range. You can tap the mag and rack the slide to get rid of the bad round but the re strike comes in handy, also
Interesting. Didn't know pulling the trigger would get it to go. Thanks.
@@CadillacJones Sure thing. Run some cheap quality steel ammo like Tul and if doesn't run, press the trigger again to send it down range. You'll see what I mean. Just a fair warning, though. The lacquered steel ammo ruins the barrel over time, though. Regular stuff will do fine.
good content
I appreciate it.
It breaks down like the Glock. Just read the manual and you will find you can take it apart in just a few seconds
of course the hellcat is better but me being a cheapo i love cheap firearms seeing what they bring
Over a thousand rounds through my G2C with zero issues.
That's good stuff.
I just bought a G2C new for $229 earlier today (4/2)
Do you like it?
@@CadillacJonesI love it so far!
@@metalbuggy Glad you're enjoying it.
Most of the Taurus can handle a 32-round magazine and some 50-round-can magazines.
They did something to make it jam
Nice comparison guys. I liked the friendly banter. I've never held or shot a Hellcat. I have held and shot a few Tauraus 9mm. I didn't like any of them. Polymer guns already feel cheap in my opinion.
The Taurus pistols I held were rattle traps that felt every bit as $200 guns. I feel the same about the s&w mp2.0. Feels like junk and something I would not put my life on the line with.
Best budget 9mm I've shot is the SAR9. Best polymer 9mms I've owned and shot are Glocks.
Still not much of a fan. I just trust Glock reliability. A few thousand rounds of cheap ammo and reloads and not one malfunction.
Thank you for expressing your view points. If we are lucky more to come Glocks I'm sure would be in one at some point.
@@mr.38special65 looks like you guys have a Colt Python 357 on the table in this video. I have a blued 1969 Python 357 myself. It's my all time favorite pistol in my collection. Each and every time I go to the range (RTSP in NJ) I get asked about the gun. No joke. Every time I bring it. Amazing revolver and I absolutely love it.
My 1975 John Giles 1911 .38 Super chambered in .38 Special for Bullseye is another classic I have. Can't get it to run worth a shit though. Some day I'll get 5 succinct shots fired out of her.
@@gotmylk no that's a Smith& Wesson .44 magnum
@@mr.38special65 also very nice. Looking forward to your review on the S&W 44. ;)
Nothing like Glock perfection!! I have the Glock 20 10mm & I love it. Also got me G2C's for me and my wife both, and we both love them. Not as many rounds put through hers yet, but never had a problem out of mine. Hers however failed to feed once the very first time we went to range, and hasn't since. Her's has about 100 rounds through it, compared to my 1000. Just changed my slide for hers earlier today. 😎👍🏾
late but he has to pull the slide back slightly and then pull the tabs down
I appreciate it.
I don't even have to watch this video to know that the hellcat won 🤣. I have nothing but Taurus firearms but I live in the real world and know that a Springfield hellcat is going to be better quality than a Taurus of any kind and that's okay one's a budget firearm and the other isn't. The only way I think the Taurus g3c or g2c would shine over the hellcat is that it could fill the role of a home defense gun as well because you can mount a light. But just solely as a concealed carry option the hellcat wins hands down in my opinion wish I could afford one. Now I'm gonna watch this video and see if I stuck my foot in my mouth 😂
I agree. I'm definitely a hellcat fan and I think that's who wins. But it comes down to personal preference. You'll have a hellcat before you know it man.
The G2C is highly reliable and very accurate, I carry mine everyday and have full confidence in it.
G2C nice as a first firearm .
I'll almost guarantee it's either an ammunition or the mag
The takedown is very easy on the Taurus just like a Glock you just were just doing it wrong by not pulling the slide back
I have both. HATE my hellcat.
Why do you hate it?
Taking it apart wrong.
Slightly pull it
Pull down buttons
Pull trigger
Read the instructions on the G2c before you look a fool on the internet
Grow up
@@CadillacJones ?? Just a honest comment they requested on video. Simple take down on the g2c
Me watching this with the hellcat pro 😂
That's what I need to grab next.
TAURUS G2C, Txx best firearm out omm
Have you shot the Hellcat yet?
@@CadillacJones to much kick got skiny finger it didn't feel right in my hands like the g2c or the tx22
@@marquisadams6555 I agree it does have a lot of recoil
I liked this video when he said half the cost I unliked the video and liked it again!
I used to think the Taurus G2c was a great gun, people can get angry all they want. But I paid for a training class before, and it was four people in there that brought the Taurus G2C. & one had a Sccy. all 5 of them was having serious problems. The guns was not going into battery, failing to feed, failing to eject, To the point the trainer Stopped them from using the guns in his class, issued them P365's and Hellcats for the rest of day, they had no more issues & two of the people bought Hellcats. I can only go by what I see. And this video confirms that. I went in there with the Shield 2.0 and had zero issues.. Sometimes you get what you pay for.
Interesting perspective man. Kind of scary that it's not available when you need it.
Wonder if they cleaned em after buying em before shooting, cause the crap they lube em with from the factory will cause em to do all that!
Don’t buy the G2C!! I traded mine in because it kept having failures.
I'm a hellcat fan. I would buy another hellcat first.
The hellcat is still waay over priced for what you get
G2c is a great gun for the money but the hellcat is just all around better!
