Praying in tongues is not always acceptable in all churches. But The Holy Spirit knows it and is in control. I learned the hard way not to look to anyone except the Holy Spirit Himself for help to understand God's Truth. He is a true gentleman. 🙏

Its so hard to keep your mind focused when you pray in tongues. I usually have to loop a imaginal scene in my mind over and over while I pray in tongues. Just so my mind wont venture off.
That is why the gift is divine, so from the one that created us,, that knows us. I also drift Sir times too,, but just keep on it at a time just like the cruising gear,, you will find out you are in another realm, where you begin to enjoy the presence of God. This is the rest and the refreshing Isaiah 28:11-12. The most beautiful beautiful gift from God,, yet controversial because Satan the devil himself is angry we have a direct line to God the Father by the supernatural tongues of God the Holy Ghost the God in the earth today,, and the most annoying part is that Satan does not know what we are talking about. Not monitoring spirits of Prince of Persia or Europe or Africa intercepting our answers, because God made sure that even we ourselves don't know what we pray about during tongues for personal edification. . Because if we knew some because of our faithless ness to believe what God has for us, we ether kill it by our unbelief OR by sharing with those we think are our friends or family but are actually our dreams killers.
****Also, you can pray in tongues and read study the Bible. That mind that drifts, put it to work by reading the Bible whilst praying in tongues. Yes it's possible,, by practice.

Has anyone seen a breakthrough in things from praying in tongues?
Yes I have
Yes! So many times. I had a need for a particular amount of momey. I didn't know how to ask the person to give me that particular amount. He wouldn't. So I prayed im tongues for about 6 hours(3hours per time) trusting the Holy Spirit to intervene. The next day, the person called me and gave me that exact amount. Glory to God. Another time, I had a financial need. The Holy Spirit told me that He had told someone to give me the money, but he doesn't want to. So, I asked if I could call the person, but He said no. Instead I should pray in tongues. In no time, the person came to my office. As soon as he saw me, he said I have had this thought to give you some money, but I kept forgetting. Then he reached out to me and gave me same amount I wanted. There are several breakthroughs, I can't write here! God is so faithful
in the holly bible 1Corinthians 12 , each one of us has given a different gifts of the Holy Spirit. there's 9 gifts of the Holy Spirit. If there no one to interpret Paul says it better for that person to be quiet.correct if i'm wrong
He is talking about private prayer language, not public declaration in tongues. I pray in tongues regularly, and it has changed me for the good.
