@@liamgabriel6112that's your problem, you don't take the time to read counter sources to your own beliefs to see if you're even deceived. That's how cults keep people deceived, they don't want you to read the criticisms of those from the outside, especially from Christians. Just because the source is not written by a freemason, doesn't mean it's not a reliable source. People who study freemasonry and give biblical responses quote the source material, which was done in this video. That's not to say there are people out there who don't do their research but, anyone who has taken an honest look at both points of views can weed out the "fake news" if their honest with themselves. There are other pastors and Christian apologist who point out the obvious problems with Christian swearing oaths to join a fraternity that denies the exclusivity of Jesus Christ. Friend, it would be wise to read where the Christian is coming from. Perhaps you should honestly compare the writings of Albert Pike and Manly P. Hall to the authoritative Word of God. What ever God you believe in is your choice not ours.
We don't worship any God in Freemasonry. We do speak of the Great Architect. (But we don't worship the Great Architect)
The reason we say great Architect is because we have people of different religions in our lodges.
If we were a religious organization we would promote one God only but since we are not we don't promote any God or any religion.
So when people talk about us not promoting the Christian God or Jesus it's because we AREN'T a religion.

That's also the purpose of the Eye of Providence above the unfinished pyramid which isn't specifically Masonic. In fact from what I've read it wasn't even created by a Mason but was created with instructions from a Mason. It was intended to be a symbol of the supreme being aka "deity" aka "grand architect" which was universal and not tied to any specific religion.
We all have different beliefs. What I believe is that we were created by an intelligence greater than all of us combined and all of us combined created all of the different religions. All religions are manmade - if God / Allah / gaotu / etc created religion there would only be one religion. But most religious people will say "there IS only one religion - mine". But in reality they are no different than any atheist, the only difference is that the Atheist believes ONE fewer religions. Even though this video may be biased, based off it's totality and potential audience, it seems the Freemasons are a conglomerate of human beings who study being One with yourself and a brother and sister to every person in the world as a whole.
In my opinion (not that anyone asked) I think they are phenomenal group so far based off the little I knw of them. They accept all and no one religion is above another such as how this video discusses the religion of Christianity being.
Not saying you have to, so take it as you will but it may help to open your mind and not think in such black and white terms. It may help to relize that every human being is a part of the same consciousness, accepting each others for their differences and studying all religions is the way for humanity to survive.

    • @dadblogCA

There is only one way, one truth and the life through Jesus Christ. Accepting other religions is lying to people. Christians aren't here to be people pleasers or to look good to people like you, we understand, we are hated by the world. We are here to live for Christ and share the honest truth: If you don't believe in Jesus Christ, and keep His commands, namely, do not worship any other "gods", then you will go to hell. That's what the Bible says, and any real Christian will believe that.
And your whole concept that studying all religions will help humanity survive is a complete misunderstanding. There are religions that are okay killing people that disagree with them. That doesn't let humanity survive, that destroys humanity. So even this fabled idea is a logical disaster piece, it would never stand and falls apart in about 2 seconds.

To make a really long and convoluted story as short and direct as possible…
Freemasonry is basically Buddhism adapted to accommodate western culture.
    What is Buddhism? Psychology.
And ultimately, what is psychology? Quantum mechanics.
The reason Masonry doesn’t have a preference when it comes to religion is that the Masons understand that all religions are actually just Buddhism veiled in allegory and parable.
You ever see that Sherlock Holmes movie with Robert Downey Jr? Well there’s a great scene in that movie where he expresses this very notion. He says:
“Blackwood said I should widen my gaze and, at minimum, I have done precisely that. In fact, I may well have reconciled thousands of years of theological disparity…”

There is alot that is off with what you say, but the one point made about being in spiritual darkness as you complete the first degree if you are already a Christian is food for thought.
Though i will say,...i have met many Christians that are only that in title, so that should be considered.
Also the three degrees given in the lodge directly relate to the cycles of life, and in the 1st degree you are approaching the threshold of birth, which is why it is described as spiritual darkness, it is an allegory of the darkness we live in before entering the world at birth.
What i do see as problematic is that in the third degree you are made to participate in a sort of re-enactment where you are Hiram Abif, and you are made to endure three assaults before finally being put to death, you are then raised from the grave to life again as a master mason.
Judging by the direct quote from the monitor, stating that Hiram is simply masonrys stand in for God, i find it morally objectionable, and without a redeemable explaination.

Although no anti-Christian is directly introduced in their teachings and beliefs, still, the emphasis is on the plurality in the belief of God.
In fairness, OPEN-MINDEDNESS should be exercised in their behalf on matters of great interest so as to avoid prejudice . As the Buddhist Dalai Lama has said, "The mind should be like a parachute. There’s a common misconception, that Freemasonry is a religion, or form of religion. It’s simply something that can be applied to your religion in terms of highlighting characteristics of morality. 90% of freemasons are of Christian or Jewish faith, and the teachings align with Judeo Christian values. This was a good presentation, but some of the interpretation is misguided. The part about the smooth and rough ashlar are correct , but you do not work to make your way to heaven or paradise. That’s something personal between you and God. Also, Hiram is a historical figure not on the same level as Christ, but revered as a great man, such as we would George Washington or Theodore Roosevelt. Freemasonry, even though as “old-world” as it may be, was ahead of its time, and its efforts for inclusivity, treating men of all different walks of life, from all different backgrounds, and religions on the same level as you.

The fact that they exist isn't a secret and the content of their ceremonies is only secret in a symbolic sense. Just about anyone can join and learn those secrets. It's like saying that a book has secrets just because you haven't read it yet. It's only a secret to YOU because YOU haven't read it yet. And if I've read that same book why would I want to tell you "the butler did it" wouldn't that be a spoiler and ruin your enjoyment from reading the book?
And if I wrote a book or screenplay - same concept. I am a screenwriter and we have a saying when it comes to pitching your story "don't tell the story - sell the story". Only tell them enough to get them interesting and make them want more. The funny thing about Freemasonry is that there is always more because Freemasonry itself doesn't contain any higher knowledge - it contains the keys to higher knowledge. The knowledge itself is in the world around you and it grows through observation of the world around you; it grows from asking questions and by questioning everything that you THINK you know. Unlike most religions which don't encourage you to be a seeker of truth, a Mason might have lots of questions that can't be answered but religion has a lot of answers that can't be questioned. And I'd rather have questions that can't be answered than answers which can't be questioned and MIGHT be wrong. Numbers 22:30 was definitely wrong, donkeys can't talk. Masons gave us the entire modern technologically advanced civilization that we live in today. It was Masons who walked on the moon and observed a spherical earth which the so called "men of god" tried to tell us was flat and burned to death anyone who disagreed with them - just like they did to Giordano Bruno on February 17th 1600.
Who are you going to trust? The men who said the earth is flat or the men who walked on the moon? The men who burned people to death for speaking their minds or the men who wrote the constitution of the United States which guaranteed freedom of speech and freedom of religion for everyone?

I started out reading 10 minutes in the morning but did it everyday. Today I spend hours reading the word and praying but I stopped working because I got really sick so I have the time. For me it was the commitment of everyday spending time with God through His word and prayer. Jesus wants a personal relationship with us. Find a good study Bible that has a great commentary. Also God Questions has a commentary on their website that’s excellent. In the beginning it may be hard to understand but keep seeking because the Bible says if we seek we will find. We will not only find God but we will find our answers to everything we need to know in this life. It’s just like eating food, if you miss some days your body is weak, if you miss taking in God’s word your spirit will be weak too. God bless you and pray for understanding too. The Holy Spirit will give you the answers you desire.

You missed the whole point of FreeMassonary my friend. When you want to understand a philosophy or a faith or a movement , you need to listen/read from the people who practice this religion or faith or part of this movement.
The freemasons objective was to gather activists of good intensions who want to make the common good and to put aside the differences in religion/ideology/politics/party.
So you can have different religious/political views, it is yours and keep it for yourself. But gather toward the common objectives that no one can have a different opinion on & then try to plan to achieve this common goal or goals.
This is why you find that freemasons stay away from discussing religion or political parties differences because they know in their experience that all bombs lie there.

I can only speak for Eastern Star but I know some parts of the Masonic rituals are similar. With that said, how can you be a Christian and a member of the organizations when you don’t know which god you are yoking yourself to? When you go through the rituals, it often says, “Do you believe in a supreme god or a god of the universe”? They never say Yahweh or Yeshua for a reason. Those are talking about everybody’s gods, including pagan gods. Additionally, you are kneeling before altars during the initiation process. The Bible strictly forbids this. When Solomon made altars for other gods, God considered this idolatry, and he punished his kids for this. The only reason he didn’t punish Solomon is because of the promise he made with his father, David. The Bible says idolaters will have no parts of the Kingdom. (Revelation 21:8) These aren’t my words. These are the words in the Christian Bible that people don’t read. So that means you can be lukewarm and a Freemason but not a true follower of Christ (repented) and a Mason by biblical standards. there is no greater fool
    then a masonic fool
    for darkness and gloom
    he prefers too light
    he cowers he flees
    as a criminal chased
    when cornered when asked
let us come together in reason
the all to familiar words he speaks
    it's secret
it will never see the light of day
    .............
like a song in time of morning is inopportune talk.
But lashes and discipline are at all times wisdom.
    Teaching a fool
is like gluing a broken pot,
    or like disturbing a man in the depths of sleep;
He who talks with a slumberer
    who talks with a fool,
for when its over he will say, “What was that?”
    Weep over the dead man,
    for his light has gone out;
    weep over the fool,
    for sense has left him.
    Weep but little over the dead man, for he is at rest;
but worse than death is the life of a fool.
Seven days of morning for the dead man,
but for the wicked fool a whole lifetime.
Speak but seldom with the stupid man,
be not the companion of a brute.
Turn away from him and you will find rest
and not be wearied by his lack of sense.
    What is heavier than lead,
and what is its name but “Fool”?
Sand and salt and an iron mass
are easier to bear than a stupid man.
    O Jesus O Savior
I know not if you are real
    Come
    Come live in me ..
    Save me
    Amen and Amen
    Revelations 22:17
The Spirit and the bride say.
    "Come."
    Let the hearer say,
    "Come."
    Let the one who thirsts
    come forward,
    and the one who wants
    receive the gift
    of life giving water.

For your correction: According to Hindu, Vishnu is the supreme god of life. Brahma is the creator of space, matter and time, and Shiva is the organiser of the Universe..and Krishna is the incarnation of Vishnu. Jesus can be an incarnation of Vishnu but Vishnu cannot be an incarnation of Jesus because Hinduism has a history of more than 10,000 years (proof: Rama Sethu & Dwaraka City). It's common sense. Thank-you.

Freemasonry is a religion look up the definition. It's not only me who is saying that but also very influential masons like Albert Pike and G Mackey. It can apply to Christianity or other religions but that is only to a certain extend. The reason why is because masonry is syncretic it looks for similarities not at differences of the religions and it doesn't capture the essence of the Christian faith. Thus the teachings don't align with Christianity since masonry is rather dualistic while Christianity is idealistic. As said in the video masonry interprets the salvation figures in religions as fulfilling the same role. That is however denying the specific things of the religion and thus destroying its essence. Freemasonry wasn't ahead of its time since basically all moral values have existed in one form or another in most of human history. Inclusivity is a bad value since it puts certain people at places where they don't belong. A freemason doesn't belong in a christian church because you can't believe in Esoteric dualism which has both influenced Freemasonry (which was influenced by Freemasonry (look at Petrovna Blavatksy Albert pikes connection to Eliphas Levi the hermetic rosicrucians and their influence)) and Christian idealism at the same time.
