About shadow of the dead: No, it does not pick enemy at random to summon! It picks 7 of the strongest enemy in the pool of corpses that you have recently killed.
I’m not too sure the amount of corpses the system saved up, but let’s use this as an example. Let’s say you kill 20 enemies before you use Nekros 4, 7 of those enemies were eximus. When you use your 4, it will summon those 7 eximus no matter the orders you killed them in.
And that’s why many people replaces his 1, since it wouldn’t be as efficient as using his 4
It saves up to 30 enemies at a time if you kill more than 30 it will prioritize the strongest units of the last 30 that you have killed and swap out the weakest one
I did notice that on my nekros I was always seen the strongest enemies when summon, will replace soul punched with gloom instead. Thank you
@@Jstme_7 your welcome also if you're going to use gloom I would highly recommend having a good way of maintaining energy I personally do energy Nexus, despoil (for desecrate), primed flow and a tau forged violet for a faction of equilibrium
All you have to do then is to activate desecrate gain enough energy then active gloom then just active shadows of the dead (I personally use shield of shadows for Damage reduction which with enough can go to 90% damage reduction with 7 Shadows) and maintain the kills for the shadows
(This is my personal nekros build if you wish to use it or if you want a general idea of a gloom nekros build and want to make your own)

Primed flow: max
Arcane guardian rank 5
Arcane blessing rank 5
2 tau forged crimson for ability strength
2 tau forged amber for casting speed
1 tau forged violet for equilibrium (a faction of it)
(The umbral mods can be replaced with the normal ones if you don't have the umbral version but I do it for tau resilience)
The playsyle is to keep gloom and Desecrate up as much as possible (keep Desecrate on 24/7 for loot)
while getting kills for shield of shadows giving the 90% damage reduction
Casting terrify if you need to deal with a large group of enemies
(which this builds strength is 100% armour strip)
but I don't find it really necessary if most cases and gloom replenish health as well Desecrate
(with it's loot)
giving you a infinite amount of health
Arcane guardian for even more armour and arcane blessing for even more health
(You can run arcane grace if wanted to)
And make sure you have a companion that can retrieve loot
And that's the build
(Side note this build is for endurance and under no circumstances let violence anywhere near you and keep a sharp eye for malice's bubble)
Gnarly builds as always especially coz my boi NUKROS (nuke/nekros) finally getting love i couldnt quiet get the dmg but prox with the Ogris thats were it is thanking you for the big brains see yous all in the next One 🙃
The shadow spawns aren’t random. It prioritizes the highest tier enemies you’ve killed within its window to spawn with the exception obviously of acolytes, rogue necramechs, etc

Yo knightmare, did some research and testing and it turns out that electricity status effect is inconsistent with bisecting enemies when using that amalgam mod. I saw more consistency with heat, toxin and slash final blows but gas and electricity are not as efficient. Is there a specific reason as to why used viral and electricity on the phantasma prime for the main damage dealer?

“Flying sand hawk” is such a good reference to one of the longest farms in looter shooter history
Nekros 4 also takes into account the tier of the enemies killed. So if i kill a low tier enemy, then a heavy gunner, then itll priorities spawning the heavy gunner. Each cast will always give you the highest tier enemy you have killed
each cast after all your summons have died*

Btw I was thinking if Oberon smite augment would effect as radiation dmg for all the damage shadows do,against corpus because I feel they are the harder for nekros since they have less hp and die faster for that
Another option would be pillage but Idk,I really enjoy having just so table shadows as cover but still not have steel path so this are just ideas

Nekros is the loot frame. Takes very little to make him work and he becomes quite tanky very quickly. You can hang out in any long mission without annoying anyone and keeping everyone topped with health and energy.
True especially with arcanes like arcane guardian and arcane intention or arcane blessing (maybe arcane grace but idk about that) combining that with nekros having 13% damage reduction per shadow and incarnons like strun torid or boar you could last (in theory) about 3-5 hours on murmur steel path survival but at least 3 hours
with the real threats only being necramechs and violence
Does the third or "melee"build also work with the syam?
I use his terrify armor strip with slow Nova is perfect.
I use nourish but with combat discipline and shield of shadows. Not only are you spreading viral when hit, so are your shadows! 😉

I built the first build and I can't kill acolytes with my Phantasma prime, what should I do ? Please help

Phantasma isn’t gonna do jack to acolytes. Acolytes only take a certain amount of procs per status. U can’t stack hella status procs on them. Phantasma is purely status damage. Without cc and physical damage stats, ur not going to do much to them

So, how do you get all of those crystals? I can only get one a week with the weekly bull crap 3 missions. I also found out about the crystal you can buy by doing those missions with the clone Orokin, which is cool, but still have to 90 for the crystal for a weekly basis.
they do they everytime they pop up plus khals camp gives you an extra one along with netracells being a drop but truth be told this is there living so they have alot more time to farm than most keep farming you will get them too
@heliosdusknight4077 the one from Khals camp is being removed and added to another place instead

It does not boost the drops of the Arcanes. That was patched yrs ago.

Sunder Nekros is extremely underrated. Slap on Equilibrium, Blind Rage, Primed Flow, and Despoil and suddenly you never run out of energy and nuke everything. Even better with Heat Inherit.
I’ve never used Nekros besides leveling both of them. I was thinking of going with a sunder build it looks real fun!

Shadows isn't random, its the last X amount of enemies you directly killed. X being the total shadows you can have.
Is the nourush build level cap void cascade viable?
A lot of things are. Probably doable with the right squad/skills/setup
also, xoris have infinite combo duration. so isnt weeping wounds and blood rush also very viable on the non crit build?

Literally made build #2 the other day but better. Replace a range mod with health conversion. It’s too much range. Run 3 tauf reds (dur,dur,str) and 2 yellows for cast spd
If you’re using the amalgam Ripkas mod why wouldn’t you use a shotgun, especially one that does slash and benefits from the reload speed?
The amalgam mod makes all weapons slag’s enemies on death even some abilities that’s the whole point of using the mod

I re-downloaded the game this year and damn so much has changed. There's galvanized mods and new prime mods. Prime Excalibur doesn't exist anymore? I have things that's just aren't in the game anymore, or have been vaulted forever.

After watching those build,I feel is not my play style so it’s good like this
I would prefer like very high durance shadows with a lot of hp or schield or amor to Tanky all the enemies without keep casting

Nekros can get 45% more loot on double the corpses... So isn't this like a 90% more loot? Khora is only 65%? It would be interesting to conduct a study about this

Absolutely not. That first build us terrible. Removing his 4 for gloom removes his DR option. and saying gloom invalidates creeping terrify is wrong. Different sources if slow stack. Meaning you can get enemies REALLY slowed down. Soul punch has its uses but i would have replaced that.
Oh and before you say shield gating. Dr from adaptation and the augment for 4 stack. Meaning you can spend more time playing the game and less spamming 2 to get your gate back up.

Slash+3 are bffs which I’m consistently proccing bc of high atk speed+discipline’s merit. I’m building for high range anyway so pull just makes sense plus the CC gives me time to cast 2 if i really need it and bc pull is cheap and spammable, building around shield gate keeps me alive for enemies beyond pull range. Is it optimal? No lmao. Does it work? Absolutely

Which goes with Melee Influence. Which most CZcamsrs are marketing as better. But it's not and actually just mod a Pathocyst with electric and save yourself a mod slot.
@@OftenYesMan save a slot? if you are modding for elec then how are you saving a slot? and youtubers pressing for xoris is not just for that reason but also because getting xoris is considerably easier then getting a glaive prime or pathocyst
@shwat_4 viral needs both cold and toxic, which is 2 slots, whereas modding for electricity only requires 1 slot. Hope this helps clear that up.

Why do you have to glorify Khora so much. The Dome is great but its stationary. You can be far more mobile with desecrate/Despoil. Yellow Shard fixes the casting speed.
I use Creeping Terrify, Shield of Shadows, Despoil, Equilibrium with lots of range and fill out the rest with Nourish(replace 1st) and red shards for strength. As long a you pay attention to where you are at. Nekros is very hard to kill.
Because if your farming your going to get tired of moving around and your going to mess up spawns. So just camp and go on auto pilot. Khora does more damage then nekros, nekros is more agile but thats not a good thing for farming
Exactly. If you're doing fast missions like Exterminate, Capture, etc. and want loot along the way, Desecrate is much better

Well you know what DE is eventually going to come after stat stick if I remember correctly. So eventually Khora might take a pretty big hit in terms of damage. Along with many melee weapons. Anyways It just seems a difference between the numbers(undead) with shield of shadows(damage reduction) vs Khora's quick dome and whip. Khora is squishy and would need a shield gate build with her whip. They both do their job but differently. I just get tired of the overhype of Khora when Nekros. It just sounds like most want to treat Nekros like Limbo when compared to Khora.
@@teddybonzo8460 You'll kill and desecrate a douzen times more enemies by moving around with Nekros than waiting for enemies to be grabbed with Khora. Dmg abilities are also pretty irrelevant if you have good weapons.
But Despoil is not possible unless you are in the right faction
