    Mine is very similar to your black one. I have the schecter solo 2 custom in satin black. Love this guitar! Can’t help but pick it up every time I walk by it. It’s so beautiful!

      Nice! Yeah I had to have the black. And the missus talked me into it too!! It was meant to be.

    The 66 in the neck of the Purple Sparkle sounds warmer to me than the 60s. I think the new KH 602 are 42mm nut (1.653") which would make it the same as the Eclipse and EC series, interesting that ESP may have used a 43mm previously on that model. Great comparison video!

    • @DaveWebbMusic
      @DaveWebbMusic  Před 2 lety

      The Purple Sparkle definitely has a different tone. It’s cool you could pick up on that!
      I think the ESP Kirk Hammett’s are the same as the Eclipse, but the LTD’s are not. If you compare the specs online you’ll see the difference. Well it was different last time I checked anyway…

    I have a 2019 Purple Sparkle E-II, it sounds and feels amazing, but the only downside is that it's not designed for high fret access, the doubling of the neck thickness around the 15th fret really makes anything above that a real chore.

    • @tonymarinelli7304
      @tonymarinelli7304 Před 3 měsíci

      Why would the access differ from one color to the other?

    • @dylanesque27

      @@tonymarinelli7304 I can't imagine that it would, I was just talking about my general impressions

      @@dylanesque27 thank you, I completely understand, however, typically the same model Guitar it’s pretty much identical and of course there are small differences sometimes because somebody might be a little heavy-handed on the sanding portion of theguitar.

    I have a Silverburst full thick, no tummy cut, and it DEFINITELY sounds different from the "normal" eclipse models

    I have a black cherry sunburst…love yours..I am a serious esp fan myself…I have a 86 Jackson an I thought I would never find another guitar that feels as good as that one but my E II is awesome!!

    Three great guitars, I like to have all three . If your not happy with the pickups , swap em out for something closer to your heart . As far as specs, who cares, if it looks great no problem.

    Vintage Black wins and has the original tone of the Eclipse. The set neck + EMG 81 + vintage black finish give it a drier and more precise sound. I have 8 eclipses, and 3 of them are vintage blacks, they still win against all other eclipses, even against my Original Eclipse Andromeda II. I have to say that my Standard Vintage Black sounds a little better than my E-II Vintage Black, it has maybe a +5% brightness bonus.

    Nice comparison. Feel wise, do these three eclipses have the same neck shape and thickness ?

    • @DaveWebbMusic
      @DaveWebbMusic  Před 2 lety +1

      Thanks man.
      I did touch on it briefly, but they all feel different.
      The blue feels smaller and smoother.
      The black feels the most comfortable and sleek.
      The purple feels chunkier and like the frets are bigger.
      I haven’t done the exact measurements, but that’s the “feel” to me.
      That being said, I still love and play every one of them. No regrets.

      @@DaveWebbMusic Thanks man I appreciate your answer. Now I know when buying E-II, I shouldn't expect all guitar to have the same neck. Even the same model can have different neck feel. I won't be surprised when different model have very different neck feel.

    • @DaveWebbMusic
      @DaveWebbMusic  Před 2 lety

      @@rendyandrian7149 no worries mate.
      But keep in mind that they all still feel great, just a little different. I have 4 Gibsons and they all feel different. End of the day, each guitar is a different piece of wood. They will each have their own qualities that make them unique. Different doesn’t mean bad.
