Either way they are both taken from there natural habitat to sell for money which is devils paper, but also if they heal, they want to be in the hands of those who need it. Raw could be crumbly and messy, please look into their scientific properties some are toxic or radioactive.

You will know it when you look at it or pick it up and hold it . When you work with them . In my experience, working with a crystal or stone , when connecting with the energy you slowly develop a partnership and your intuition will will tell you . They both have benefits, I find both to be amazing! Don’t let the question take up space or energy, go with with how that spirit speaks to you 😊❤

I tend to have some I prefer polished (like citrines) and some I like raw (tourmalines, blue kynite). But oddly, I prefer my labradorite cut raw and polished on one side 😅 . Thank you for sharing your knowledge and perspective, love your channel!

Oh, heck! I gotta say mother earth doors a great job baking them in her toasty womb. There's so many beautiful natural shapes.
But I like to carry them on me also. There's a lot of crystals that are more durable or won't harm each other when they're polished.
I also like to mix them up because I like to have a mixture of masculine and feminine shapes when I do have them out or in a grid. It all depends on the individual crystal

I tend to love polished crystals because I can see the internal beauty of them and see flashes and inclusions better. I do love raw clear crystal points - one of my favorites. When I am drawn to raw crystals, it tends to be for the power inherent in them. I feel this way especially with rose quartz and black tourmaline.

I tend to gravitate towards raw, but in the case of my first stone's I purchased polished, I have since purchased raw, still work with my original, I have bonded with.

As a crystal researcher, raw specimen of crystals are more powerful, closest to its natural state. If the energies of raw crystal is too powerful, you can use the tumbled form (gentler). Also tumbled stones are more comfortable to carry as they have smooth surface
