I was journaling this evening and my teenage son came up and asked to try out some of my inks and fountain pens (he's loves drawing but generally with markers) and we sat together and did some writing. I agree that it is a time for ourselves yet creativity breeds creativity and it is always really lovely to share together. Thank you for your content and thank you for your lovely reply to my recent comment too.
Oh I couldn’t agree with you more. I absolutely love it when one of my children wants to journal with me or explore my art and journaling supplies. When I say children, my youngest is 16 now 🤣🤣 How is it they grow up so fast? I’ve always felt that creativity is one of the wonders of human experience. I think it is wonderful that you are nurturing your son’s creativity. My very best wishes to you both! Ali xxxx

Thank you for another lovely video Ali, I can’t decide which spread I like best ☺️ I like the pop of turquoise on the first, the spring colours of the pink and yellow and the layout and colours you have used on the third spread so I’m going to say I love them all 🤣 I’d love to hear the fairytales, not really in to tarot cards but I can’t take inspiration and learn lessons from the fairytales 😊 Thank you again for sharing ❤️
You’re very diplomatic Dawn 🤣🤣🤣 and thank you for liking all the spreads. I think the fairy tales are going to be fun. But I wish the cards were more varied, as they all have a very similar colour palette lol! I’ll have to try and resist my urge to match my decoration with the card 🤣🤣 sending hugs 😘😘😘

You don’t make it easy Ali! 😂 As I was watching, I’m thinking oooohhhhh….I love this first spread, how is she going to top this one? Then number 2 with pink and yellow ( urgh…my nemesis…) loved it…especially clever to push the pink to the back and bring out the cheery yellows! Then, the third, that caramel latte paper, the perfect coordinating sticker with its gorgeous portrait and, a nod to coffee..so no I cannot pick. 😂 I’m really anticipating your fairytale time! We have a lovely book called Buddha at Bedtime and I instantly was reminded of it by this book. It too is filled with tales that are designed to give you something to reflect upon as you drift off to sleep. As always thank you for sharing and I absolutely love hearing your thoughts and seeing what you create with the same prompts…🥰💕 Louise xx

We may have developed a modern digital friendship but it is all based on the same things as if we met in the school carpark. 😆Journaling tastes, coffee, wine and cheese, music, similar aged children with a musical bent, finding humour in the same places...and I like sharing things with you as I know you'll enjoy it as much as me! I just wished you lived around the corner. In other words, you like the stuff I like...ergo you are my friend! 😆💕Louise
Another good video!! I love all three pages, but number 3 is my favourite. The first quote made me laugh though..because some days if I went any slower, I would also be going backwards. Thank you for making your videos!!

Loved all the spreads, but my favorite is the first one with the turquoise (my favorite color). Also, I'm very excited about the tarot deck and the fairy tales, the artwork on them is beautiful. 🤗
Hello sweetie, so lovely to hear from you. I sent out your lovely charms in my last batch of happy mails and they were very happily received. I just have the music treble clef one left that I am hoarding. I gifted my black TN to my son, so perhaps I should give it to him as it would be perfect for him! But maybe I’ll make up a music journal for myself? Decisions decisions lol! Ali xx

Absolutely love your pages! I have been following Louise too and am enjoying the differences in the interpretations of the quotes and the pages! You both are inspiring!

I am not doing the calm pages. I bought the mindfulness one and was planning to use it to follow along but got side tracked and am just doing my own thing. (My husband got sick and ended up in the hospital. He is still having issues but hopefully will be better soon.) I am truly enjoying watching the both of you and always look forward to your videos! I hope you are well and having a fun day!

I’m so happy you think it’s a cool book. I’m always fascinated by the creative stories that survive through time affecting the cultures of the people to whom they belong. It’s fascinating how important stories are don’t you think? I’m not sure why that is the case? But there have been countless stories told or written in our world. Each of us only gets to hear or read a small fraction of them! Blows my mind 🤣🤣🤣

Hi Ali!! I hope you are well.
I am currently reading Letters of the younger Pliny for uni and loving it so much! Have you read them? I know he’s not a philosopher so maybe not, but I’d recommend anyway!! He mentions his “notebooks” quite a lot which makes me very happy to think about! A Roman carrying around his notebook and jotting things down like we do pleases me a lot 😂.
I nearly always am journaling when watching one of your videos! I really love it. It really does feel like you’re sat across the table and we are chatting and sticking and cutting together!

Oh Emily, I’m so relieved you mentioned Uni as you haven’t for a while and I was scared you weren’t continuing and I was worried to ask …. the last thing you need, if you take a break, is someone stressing you out by asking. No I haven’t read the younger Pliny. In fact I was just thinking about how colossal the total amount of books in the world must be and how each of us can only read such a tiny proportion of them in our lifetime! My partner always maintains that boredom is impossible due to the amount of books available to read. Clearly he’s never had depression and doesn’t understand that boredom IS possible when motivation sinks to a horribly low point! It’s wonderful that you feel that you are journaling alongside me. You know by now that you have a special place in my heart, Ali xxx
@@dabblinginjournals Yes I have full plans on finishing!! I do doubt myself every single TMA though as to if I can actually do it, but I’m managing to this far so I’m going to keep going!
I would highly recommend the penguin classics edition of the bind up, they are really good and fascinating!
I see in theory what he means, I do agree! But in practice depression definitely doesn’t let you read sometimes 😂 I know exactly what you mean!!
