I remember the first time I came across Andros' true form in Star Fox 64. I had no idea what I was heading towards, it was a complete accident because I'd just decided to try and take a different path. Sure I knew I'd done something different when I had to fight Star Wolf and friends before Andros, but when that brain showed up I was so shocked I got destroyed in a second.
Hollow Knight: Absolute Radiance boss fight. Requires you to fight through a boss rush of 45 hard mode boss fights just to reach it (which you can only do by completing other similar boss rushes). Failing at any point forces a restart of the entire thing. Absolute Radiance then turns this Metroidvania into a bullet hell, and is by far the hardest fight in the game. By this point you’ve also been fighting a very long time, and are probably running on adrenaline and the fear of failing, which doesn’t help. I found this very challenging, and think it deserves a place on this list!
Lookup Any Radiance. It's one of those fights that was designed to be beaten and of course a few people (half a dozen last time I checked) went "Hold my essence". Especially the climb before the last phase is guaranteed to get you hit so your life is too low after the 2nd phase that's an assured restart.
A LOT of Terraria bosses have a chance to appear without being summoned. There are also things you can do in the world that can unexpectedly and inadvertently summon them. It's usually a low chance, but man does it make you shit yourself when you aren't prepared and are in a particularly bad location for it.
True. Figuring out what materia to equip and how to play to even survive all the other summons was the true challenge. what with them requiring different elements, no ability to use items and having to stick with the same weapons. by the time i was able to get to pride and joy and not fluke it, i was ready.
Pride and joy was a cakewalk compared to the battle immediately before. But the only hard part there was figuring out the correct strategy. After 8 attempts.

@@a10bam420 every ng is a new, higher difficult setting, also since items carry over you're able to start completely fresh and go a totally different route. Def is a higher difficulty.
@@Esauofisaac A "hard difficulty mode" does not explicitly mean an overall game mode you choose at the start of a new game. In specific context to the Chalice dungeons, the defiled/ sinister/ cursed Chalices add extra limitations to an already existing dungeon delving mechanic. Watchdog of the Old Lords is still the hardest boss fight, I've ever endured. It took me three straight days of playing nonstop (besides break to sleep of course) to beat.
To mention, regarding the bloodborne old dog, the chalice dungeons don't scale with ng cycles. Also, the defiled chalice where you have half hp isn't the wrost one. There is one I remember being a 75% hp reduction. And if you're feeling really courageous, there is the glitched chalice that is a 99% reduction. Have fun with anything in there.
I personally had more trouble out of the damn darkbeast in the defiled dungeon but the whole thing was rough. I also noticed in star fox they didn’t cheese the eyes by shooting a bomb at the right time and destroying both eyes as soon as they come out, makes the boss way easier

The Fortress is a hazard filled maze that requires accurate platforming while fighting off shadowy enemies AND the clock as you search for 4 weak points. Damn.
Do you guys remember the older Conan game.. the boss at the end that kept changing form/ attacks and took about 20 straight minutes to beat. If you were doing very well? Meaning I died many times. That was a rage quit game that I refused to lose!! I beat that friggin thing but that thing I STILL remember. Was at least a decade ago
There is a secret boss in super smash bros 3ds that you fight in arcade, it appears at difficult 7 and his name is Core or something like that. If you go further in the difficult it have more forms, and before you fight him you have to defeat master hand and crazy hand

Most of the time the devs can play the game they created on the hardest difficulty they created with little to no issue, when you see E3 gameplay it's normally just a QA tester playing and they aren't the best
As someone who has played Nintendo games, I can tell you that they make it seem like it's going to be easy but it progressively gets harder and harder as you go. Inner Agent 3 from Octo Expansion in Splatoon 2 makes Galacta Knight look like a pushover compared to them. It took me months just to beat them and I got the Golden Toothpick as a reward. Even Splatoon 3 has the hardest level in the game in which is ironically easier compared to Champion's Road in Super Mario 3D World because at least in that game you have checkpoints. So it doesn't surprise me that a couple games from Nintendo would be on here, if anything I thought there would be more but it's not like they have difficulty settings there with an actual "hard mode" but it does get harder and you'd have to be prepared for the inevitable.
As much as I enjoyed Starfox 64, I could never get to the true boss. It's not that it was difficult, even as an elementary school kid, but something about staring into an endless abyss of emptiness in space really gives me some sort of variation of vertigo. It makes me anxious and nauseous. Same reason why I can't play many space-flight games, or games like Subnautica. So I'd do all the difficult challenges to get to certain parts of the game, and then leave it on pause until my big brother feels like playing.
Hades with most extreme measures was pretty tricky. Three full health bars, all new movesets, and multiple armored enemy spawns. Barely beat that goliath.
You should make a video on the most brutal challenges in video games. e.g The pantheon of Halloween nest from hollow knight is insanely hard. Theres like 50+ bosses and you have to fight every single one of them and their powered up versions. You die you have to restart the challenge
My first Bloodborne playthrough, it didn't take me more than 4 tries to defeat any boss. Most I got on the first try. Watchdog of the Old Lords in the Defiled Chalice took an entire day and 40+ tries. It requires a near perfect fight against a very big and aggressive boss. It's brutal.
With Contra 3 I guess it depends what you class as the 'final boss'. The brain thing can be fought on easy, it just has less attack options. Only by playing on hard do you get chased exiting the tunnel and even then it's basically the same enemy.
I'm so glad to see Watchdog of the Old Lords mentioned. I ended up completely giving up on the defiled chalice dungeon after a week of trying to beat that thing.
Watchdog of the Old Lords in Defiled Chalice literally made me quit Bloodborne for 5 years before coming back and beating the entire game again, including him, last month lol. Also funny how the footage is him fighting the easy version of the watchdog because that doesn't even come close to showing the utter destruction that damn dog can do in the Defiled Chalice.
I would have thought the smash bros rep would be master core/master fortress from Smash 4. This boss doesn't appear until around the same difficulty as crazy hand, then has 5 forms depending on how high the difficulty is beyond that.
Ninja Gaiden is also a good one. On mid & low difficulty, at a certain point, you refight one of the earlier bosses. On a high difficulty, that fight is changed to a new ridiculously difficult fight.
It always amazes me when someone puts a beast as the hardest bloodborne boss. Beasts are way harder if you panic, and way, way easier if you are calm and collected and using beast hunting gear. They basically punish you for not being familiar enough with the games mechanics. Some bosses, like Amygdala in the same chalice dungeon, are hard as nails no matter how you approach them. They don't have a weakness, and no amount of focus will make the fight any shorter or less stressful. Where as you CAN cheese the Watchdog, even if he was hard for you.
Amygdala in the defiled chalice dungeon isn't that bad if you just play patiently. Basically using the same tactics that you describe when fighting the beasts. And yes, focus does help.
There is speculation that Galacta Knight is actually what Kirby is destined to become once he grows up, much like how Meta Knight is in fact just an adult member of Kirby's species. When Meta Knight asks Nova to fight the strongest warrior in the galaxy in Superstar Ultra, Nova sends him to fight Galacta Knight instead of Kirby. Kirby is the strongest character in the Kirby universe, so the only reason this would be is if Galacta Knight is (or could be) what Kirby becomes.
I would argue the amygdala fight in the cursed chalice dg is actually worse, since the dog is predictable, it is tedious and hard but you'll beat him. Amygdala however, is gonna jump at you and you even know it's gonna jump! but the fact that camera automatically looses focus on the jump + the range of its attack is gonna make your survival almost random xD
Defiled Amygdala is the worst. It basically has it's entire moveset turned into one shots plus the Watchdog is at least really fun, Amygdala just sucks
The comment about Galacta knight being a cute little pink guy...just shows the parallel between him/her/it and kirby at that point. Capable of beating 12 souped up bosses, you fight someone similar to you at that high skill level
Yea as a diehard Bloodborne fan I was really confused when I heard that. Was positive it was gonna be Queen Yharnam cause of the excessive route to finally get to her
@@iHaveTheDocuments Me: Hears about how hard the Orphan of Kos is supposed to be. Also Me: oblitorates him first attempt. I wouldn't say First Vicar is the hardest for me personally that went to Ludwig. The more humanoid/smaller bosses of the game I found much easier than the larger ones.
This. Just stay next to his haunch like all beasts and he goes down... he wasn't even notably harder than other beasts to me. The Cursed Defiled Amygdala is the only boss to stick out to me. I can beat Ludwig, Laurence, and Orphan all in one try consistently. They are really not hard at all compared to the "secret" bosses. At least, until you buff them up to like NG+5, but I consider the bosses to be "evenly compared" on NG.
When smash brawl came out I spent a week doing the insane difficulty and I kid you not beat the boss fight first damn try with only lucario because I loved him I’m still shocked about it to this day
(Watches all the way up to #2) Man, these bosses I've never even heard of sound really intense. I wonder what could be tougher than all of them? (reaches #1) Oh...yeah, that makes sense.
Oh after you complete Star Fox 64 you get Star Fox with sunglasses and a bonus music menu and a few bonus multiplayer maps. To get this mode you have to play legitimately and you can't access it through the GameShark however the game shark does give you a lot but it's not really fun because considering at the end of the day you're just ruining the leaderboards for yourself.
A couple of my friends and I used to go to Blockbuster way back when the 64 was just getting released and beat Starfox 64 the secret way daily when we were 11 years old lol. Wish they'd make a new Starfox game that could compare to 64.

I'm proud to say I beat FFVII Remake in Hard mode, including beating all the challenges! I feel somewhat a pro! Those of you who also beat it, you know it wasn't easy!
Yup,I was one of the dudes who completed bloodborne and did all of the chalices and I can agree with the thing that the defiled chalice is the hardest one in the game but the hardest boss for me is the Amygdala of the cursed and defiled chalice

Classic case of not checking facts, just get the content out smh
@@nlikeflynn8837 What is this, Fox News? lol
In that case it's way easier haha if you leveled up to 200
Sakurai plays Smash Bros. on the hardest difficulty casually
I occasionally will rewatch FF7 remake reveal reaction videos. Still gives me chills.
What a surprise, but its satisfying when you beat them after a year or 3.
Y'all remember golden axe 3? There was a hidden boss which only unlocks if you finish the game at hardmode
The chalice dungeon bosses in bloodborne don’t scale with new game plus. They stay at the same level no matter how many play throughs you do
Defiled Amygdala Is wayyy tougher than watchdog IMO. Great Video!
Sae, the main boss in Fatal Frame 2, can only be fought in hard mode. And it’s a two for one boss too 😬
The way Falcon says Midgar.... Priceless.😂
I would have thought the smash bros rep would be master core/master fortress from Smash 4.
This boss doesn't appear until around the same difficulty as crazy hand, then has 5 forms depending on how high the difficulty is beyond that.
Falcon is about my age :-) Haven't played Star Fox (which would be Lylat Wars here in the UK), but that boss would have given me the creeps!
What a great video
Omg lylat wars was amazing, that brain though... freaky as fook
In Gunstar Heroes for the Genesis/Megadrive you can only fight all forms of Seven Force on the Expert setting.
Hi Falcon, I'm binging your list vids and chilling with my napping son. Cheers✌
Let’s not forget the true boss of every metal gear solid game, Hideo Kohima
The comment about Galacta knight being a cute little pink guy...just shows the parallel between him/her/it and kirby at that point. Capable of beating 12 souped up bosses, you fight someone similar to you at that high skill level
That blood borne trophy was legit my last. I almost beat the watchdog so many times
Watchdog of the old lords isn't hard. Treat him like Sif from Dark Souls. Stay close to him.
Yea as a diehard Bloodborne fan I was really confused when I heard that. Was positive it was gonna be Queen Yharnam cause of the excessive route to finally get to her
@@iHaveTheDocuments shid, id rather have them say the orphan over the watchdog lol
When smash brawl came out I spent a week doing the insane difficulty and I kid you not beat the boss fight first damn try with only lucario because I loved him I’m still shocked about it to this day
(Watches all the way up to #2)
Man, these bosses I've never even heard of sound really intense. I wonder what could be tougher than all of them?
(reaches #1)
Oh...yeah, that makes sense.
Wild arms 3…when you start drilling down into the depths of the planet… damn
Beating Pride and Joy was my best moment of 2020 lol
that fight with Bahamut and ifrit makes pride and joy like a stupid Bot (I had nightmare about it😂) but I got the platinum in it and I still proud with my self for having it
Velo, from Crash Nitro Kart while playing as Tiny, or Crunch can be outright cruel at times as well. For an older and favourable game, I hated it playing through that race
Blood borne: cuts your health in half for only one section of the game
Demons souls: hold my beer
*hold my estus
@@ShikariHybryd *Hold my full moon grass
when are we gonna acknowledge that falcon literally is illiterate
"Suffis to say" lol poor falcon needs hooked on phonics
0:03 Glad to see Armstrong here
They showed the regular agent 3 fight. Trust that the inner version is basically playing vs a hacker
I’ve actually beaten the smash bros fight . Very tough. And oh man that Star fox boss was so hard
I miss Borderlands, can't even tell wich special Boss there are too many.
I'm proud to say I beat FFVII Remake in Hard mode, including beating all the challenges! I feel somewhat a pro! Those of you who also beat it, you know it wasn't easy!
It actually was pretty easy.
@@miroslavkubalak4297 Pride & Joy wasn't.
@@Zero-rq9ti, it truly was.
Im still having a hard time getting used to the combat😂😂 only about 8-10 hrs in the game though
@@miroslavkubalak4297 "you guys suck. That boss was cake." Says the biggest tool in the shed.😉
What about absolute radiance from hollow knight where you have to fight 41 harder variants of the bosses you fight mainly out side of godhome
Yup,I was one of the dudes who completed bloodborne and did all of the chalices and I can agree with the thing that the defiled chalice is the hardest one in the game but the hardest boss for me is the Amygdala of the cursed and defiled chalice
