This sounds like a 15 minute advertisement
i dont get it. for 220, you can get a separate dac and amp that would absolutely destroy the quality of these sound cards.
It's only important if the sponsor money says so
I used to use sound cards but every time there was an OS upgrade I lost compatibility in Windows. USB interfaces are a little better in this respect.
This ruined my day, i lost trust in you
Obviously too improve the sound quality on MS Paint!
Creative sponsors many CZcamsrs these days.
Translation: “Sound card company convinced me that I need their product”
Meh.... I get perfect sound from my onboard audio. A modded Realtek driver let me get surround sound from the S/PDIF off the motherboard, and it works flawlessly. Motherboard audio has come such a long way, I don't think soundcards will ever make a "comeback". Sound Blasters drivers were so bad on Win 10 nobody trusts them anymore. And most audiophiles just use an external DAC, that way it's completely isolated from any interference that can be caused by the electronics inside the PC
$200 to $400!? That's going to be a tough sell, especially with that terrible audio quality. I'll stick with my Focusrite Scarlett Solo and onboard audio.
Neighborhood friendly reminder: You don’t need phantom power for the dynamic mics. Keep up the great work.
I've always used SoundBlaster sound cards in my systems, since 2004, and I've always been pleased with the audio quality and control I have over the sound with them.
and that ladies and gentleman
I was gifted a Sound BlasterX Pro Gaming AE-5 for free, my buddy bought one off Amazon and they sent him two, so I got a $150 card for free. Well worth it.
Got the Ae 7... amazing sound !!
They are not.
350 bucks for sound card and it doesn't even have game port. So dissapointed.
They aren't, buy an external USB DAC or multiple external USB DACs, or just buy a MiniDSP
The last Windows 10 build broke my Auzentech X-Fi Prelude, and when I fell back to onboard audio I DEFINITELY could tell a difference. I was so glad to find somebody had updated DanielK's drivers for the new Windows build and I could get my Auzentech working again (albeit the unsigned driver part always worries me). Problem with sound cards nowadays is the support - Microsoft really doesn't care to keep them running, and frankly the sound card companies don't seem to care about having working drivers out there past the moment they decide to sell the last one of that exact model.
Currently running a soundblaster Z card in my system. I love the sound and haven't had a problem with the drivers.
