Hi there thanks for the video. Wanted to ask what you do with the super if it's not ready to harvest and you want to treat with apivar.
Could you treat with apivar for the recomended time leaving the super on and let the bees deplete the stores over winter. Then once filled with fresh stores in the spring do you think the honey would be OK to consume?

Hi Andy, if the super is not ready you have a few ways. If you leave the super on with Apivar I would only then ever use it as a winter bee super, never for human use as it will be contaminated. Another idea is to take the super off and extract what you have, eat or make mead or feed back to the same beehive. And third you can freeze the frames until spring. Hope that helps 🐝🐝
