This presentation features birds photographed in different habitats near South San Francisco, California. Also included are birds encountered on a deep water pelagic out of Half Moon Bay. Big surprises were a Polar Skua and a Hawaiian Petrel!

Wonderful video tour of the Bay Area. Thank you for highlighting a few of the beautiful areas in my vicinity. I’m a newbie birder and will get to the Golden Gate Park soon. Thx

I saw a piliated woodpecker and a barred owl there...

Very nice Joan! I live in the Bay Area and find your video extremely informational and interesting. Thanks for information about the Pelagic tour. Looks very interesting. I took a whale watching tour from San Diego bay before on the decent size ship and got very bad seasick after it got to open sea and lasted for the rest of trip. I'm wondering what you felt about that boat you were on.

It was fine! I might have had a patch on, can't remember, but it's worth getting one just to make sure. I live in New Orleans and the pelagic we have leave a lot to be desired. It takes hours to get to blue water and you may not see any sea birds at all.
