you can order a knife without a case for 32 euros plus delivery, but trust me you don't want that, the case is great. What do you get for your money ... 1. excellent knife and functional (manufacturing tolerances are not at the level of expensive models) 2. excellent steel, tough as 1095, keeping the sharpness is halfway between 1095 and D2 and what really surprised me is it doesn't rust easily just darkens a bit. 3. I took the Model 140 and when I took it out of the box I just said that’s it! chopping wood as a joke. I have never received such an equivalent for my money.
