I bought a Tweed Deluxe 5E3 amp kit from China on Ebay. Part 1

Ive built 4 amps from scratch. Thought I’d try a kit. So, I turned to ebay. Im not going to upgrade because I want to hear how this thing sounds. This is the inboxing evaluation part 1. Here’s what I got for $220 + $75 shipping.

I built one a year ago. I upgraded caps , sockets , and pots . But the ones it came with are decent.
Psvane are high quality . And suguang were.good as well. It is a really great amp especially for that price.

$220 is pretty low for a 5e3 kit with tubes chassis, and transformers. a decent 5e3 with best quality components should run around $350. you get what you pay for. a good set of iron, tubes, and chassis would run about $220.

This was just an experiment to see if it was worth it. Total was $220+$75 shipping. I got it 90% finished and then summer activities kicked in. Plan on finishing soon once boats are out of the water.
