That's a cool tool, and not expensive either!
+Gary L yeah I thought so too!
Nice video! Thanks for sharing!
+Allen Hsu you’re welcome 🍻
She snorts!!! hahaha. Too funny!!!
+Blake Doan 😂
Neat. I am left to wonder what filler will remain as flexible as the surrounding material during temp swings and as it ages. Maybe the trick is to fixture the cracks as closed as possible before stitching the cover.
Bodon with fiber glass
Much better than spending hundreds on a new bumper. Thank you for this!!
+Kaylee Lane you’re welcome! 🍻
right
When she was laughing, I figured she was the driver.
+@megakhan2005 😁😁
This is better than the “drift stitches” I did on my bumper 😭
glad it was just a trashcan! and not a dog. got to be careful tho. thanks for the tutorial.
+Rigved Kale yes! Thanks.
Just use aluminium mesh much faster & very strong after. Then use plastic welding rods for extra strength 👍🏽
Not bad for your 1st attempt. I would've used some 2 part Plastic weld epoxy 1st, and then do the staples... But with the size gap you have, you can still apply the epoxythen sand it down.
+Thr33•Sid3z thanks! Yeah it takes practice I can tell :)
@@HelpMeDIY I'm in the Pac NW & we just got hit with 1ft of snow over night & both myself & my neighbor cracked our bumper covers 🤦🏽
I'm looking for a vid I saw awhile back where the guy drilled tiny holes on each side of the crack and then put the staples in the holes across the crack & pulled from the opposite side making the staple sink in more than flush. After that he used epoxy to fill the holes & sanded it flush. It was pure genius LoL
Are they still holding the bumper?
+Jordan P. Yes! 👍
I wondered if that worked.
+Jan Bauer she’s been driving around for a couple weeks now and it’s still good. I’m confident it did the job 😁
