Hi Jason n Jen,
Wow what a good looking garden, you
both done an awesome job! Team work!!
Isn’t it wonderful to just watching it grow?
I got my first bell pepper and tomato come
on yesterday and man I almost jumped up
and down with excitement 😂🙄 I’m old
I shouldn’t be jumping,,you noticed the
“Almost” right 😂😂😂
So happy for you both,,stay safe, happy
and God Bless you ❤
Hi Pam!! It is a lot better for hard work but so worth it in the end. Congrats on the pepper and tomato. I’m jealous. I have a long way to go!! Hope all is well with you! Take care and God bless!♥️🙏♥️
The more compost and grass clippings/leaves etc. that you work into the garden beds the more that hard pack will remain looser. I buy "sterile hay" in bags and work it into my soil in the Fall just help add composting action in the beds and help loosen things up. I also cover my beds with cardboard in the winter to keep good soil from blowing away - it has worked good so far plus it stimulates bug action
Thanks for the tips and tricks!! We will definitely be trying them out this fall!! 😊
Awesome job and great looking garden layout. Nice.
Thank you for the kind words!!😊
I saw sunrise in Maine was 4:30 (!) and sunset was 8:15. So lots of sun. Here in TX, it is 6:40a and 8:55p, y'all get 2 more hours than us!
We do have some long days right now. Have to take advantage while it lasts….come winter we are lucky to get 8 hrs of sun!!🤨
Wishing you a huge successful harvest!
Wonderful intro!
Thank you! Appreciate the feedback!!😊
Those are some wicked gardens! Ayuh! Nice!
Thanks!😊
Great video, gorgeous flowers, love the intro, i only wish y'all lived closer, we have a ton in common. Great work
Thank you so much for all of your kind words!! That would be nice if we were closer to each other!!😊
Wow that garden has really grown. Well done. I hope it will be plentiful. Jenn will be whipping up all sorts of deliciousness come this fall. Tell Jenn I am still waiting for a cooking in the outdoor kitchen. I don't think I have missed a video. I could have. Are the black flys gone? Look at that .I tell ya you've got your own little town going on. Whoo these vet bills are killer. I had to take my dog Honey to the vet yesterday excessively licking her paws ,and that gunk in her eyes. Mind you that is 3X in the last 7 months. So abd you have 4 babies 🤱. But anyway good luck with the garden 😊
Hi Loretta! Garden is looking pretty good. Hoping to be busy again this fall. I just finished cleaning up the outdoor kitchen so I can cook and we can eat out there. Anything special you want cooked out there?? Let me know!! Thank God Macha only needed her shots. Vet bills are the worst! So expensive!! Take care and have a great night!
I did 25lbs of Yukon Gold Potatoes from Johnny's Seed this year. I don't use no till because I want to get everything from the previous season out of the ground. I have heard good and bad about it
We tried it our first year but of course it didn’t do very well because you need to have a good base of composted straw. Second year we did towers…did ok but not great! A few potatoes were thrown into the no till area and they did better than the towers and we didn’t even try!! Hoping it works well this year!
Kohlrabi!!! Love those! Ive got some in the ground as well!
First time growing it! They are so good! Can’t wait!😊
I'm excited! You sure rub that excitement on to me! I love to watch you guys gardening! Now with the tomatoes, uh oh, I didn't put in any calcium or epsom salts for my tomatoes. Too late now? or just poke a hole close to the roots and sprinkle some in it? Hopefully that will take care of the blossom rot that plague me last year without the green house. I had to plant tomatoes in the green house this year in pots because something in our city air is making all of our neighbors' tomatoes wilt and leaves were falling off. We live a block down from a foundry, and half mile to two miles from ADM and Tate and Lyle factories.
It is exciting!! I would poke the hole and sprinkle some in. We had no blossom rot last year (we did our first year) Tomatoes did so well we did the egg shells and salt again. We gave tomatoes away and we still have pasta sauce (quite a bit) from the fall!! When the greenhouse is done the tomatoes, peppers and cucumbers will be done in there (longer season and protected from strong winds) 😊
@@HanbleceyaRanch That's my plan to utilize the greenhouse as long as I can when it isn't too hot and when it's not too cold for longer veggie growing production time.
Looks really good. Being as far north as you are how successful is corn? I tried the tower method a few times and didn't have great success but they work excellent as pot for starting seedlings
Our first year we did amazing with corn (we did start some of the corn by winter sowing). Second year we tried the 3 sisters method….FAIL! This year we are just putting it in the ground and seeing how it does. We didn’t do any winter sowing as we have in the past.
I try to have my raised beds dirt even with the top of the bed - will you get them that high this year?
Probably not. We were a bit late getting the dirt (just came today) and had to get the garden started. Most of the beds are pretty tall so there is plenty of dirt for them to grow!
Did I say that I got all this expensive meds. For Honey nothing works. You got any suggestion?
What are they saying is the cause??
@@HanbleceyaRanch they say that maybe it's allergies. I had to take a prescription for dog food. 117$ a bag.
@@lorettabaker362wow!! That’s crazy!!
