    Hi there,
Can't wait to see what this years garden looks like. The chicken manure will assist to the steady green thumb with Jen. Thank you for the video. Take care.

Can’t use the chicken manure this year (can’t use fresh) but going forward all of it is going into the compost! Trust me there will be plenty of it….those fluffy butts poop A LOT!🤣

    Hi Jason n Jen,
Wow a lot of prep work done, looks really nice!
It’s like when we clean up all the fall stuff, like a
brand new slate huh? I just love that look.
It’s getting exciting for all the crops to start
getting sewn in. Nothing like growing our
own food, and getting fresh egg! I’m so glad
y’all love them. And the green house coming
in has to be exciting for ya Jen, aww love my green
house even though I stink at most of it, BUT,,,I’m
    getting better 😂
Wonder if you removed the gravel 😏 and put
cardboard down with 4” of mulch, I’ve been seeing
lots of people doing it, they say it works 🤷‍♀️ it might!
I do know when I worked in the garden center at
Lowes, we were always taught that a small layer
of mulch wouldn’t help with weed control but 4”
would as long as you had some kind of barrier
under it. I personal hate garden fabric, it’s never
worked for me. I am gonna use the cardboard this
    year to see what happens.
Anyways, everything looks super nice Jason, job
well done! Chickens act like they loved the treats lol
Lord I was dying over here watching you feed them
babies out of your hand Jen 😳😂
Hey, stay safe, happy and God Bless ❤

      Hi Pam!
Lots of prep work but it will be so worth it in the end!! I am so looking forward to the greenhouse! It will be a game changer out here!! Not sure what we are gonna do…have thought about cardboard and mulch. We will see. Jason has done a great job getting things prepped for me out there and the new beds will help with keeping things weeded!! Chickens loved their treats. Some of them have no problem eating from my hand and others aren’t too thrilled. They all come running when I go out there. They know they are gonna get something!!🤣 Take care and God bless!♥️🙏♥️

Grubterra has been emailing me for their products as well. I have not done anything with the emails because I have not taken the time to research the company. I might give them a try since you folks are satisfied with them. Thank you. Keep on keeping on.

Can you put pavers around your garden beds instead of the gravel? That would help reduce the weeds and could even be pretty if you guys decide to paint them.

Grow lots of good stuff! I put corn and taters and cumbers in a couple of weeks ago. Taters and corn are coming up but nothing else yet.

So glad we found your channel! My husband and family and I are in the process of moving to Maine from Florida to do what you guys are doing. Do you have any suggestions for beginning resources. Books, other channels, etc. The garden looks great!

So sorry it took so long to respond, we’re so happy you found us! 😊
During our prep, there wasn’t a singular book or channel that we relied on more than any other. It was more of a culmination of resources…but we also started 11 yrs before we made our move.
Maybe I’ll do a video that outlines what we did…that might help get you in the right direction. 🤔

You should get yourselves a cow for the milk or better yet, a goat.

In the future…we want to make sure we have a safe and secure place for any animals we bring to the homestead!😊 I do want a pet goat or two!!😉
