Bad news Timeyodie: you've got a rival for best colt version of this song. And this guy is good! His name's Jacob Pritchett, and he's got at least two videos out: "THIS DAY ARIA COLT VERSION W COMIC", and "This Day Aria (Colt Version) - Victor Frost (did the background)". Thought I should give you a heads up on him.
While I preferred... most of the lyricism in this particular cover to the one by Victor Frost, the vocalist came off as unnatural, with the frequent pauses betwixt words. This just harmed the song's progression, as well as my enjoyment of it. The literal only other complaint I can think off is the misuse of "abide" (hence, my "most of" preference), for the sake of a The Big Lebowski reference. If these two issues could be fixed, I'd have no problems with the cover, as I really fucking liked listening to it in every other regard I can reasonably recall (having just listened to it for the first time). Ta-ta for now! Hail Hydra.
Actually, the use of "abide" in this context is somewhat archaic, but technically correct. It can be used to mean "remain, stay, or continue", but is now far more often used in the sense of "tolerate or put up with"
I absolutely love the line "For my heart is dead inside" It is a great change and matches so well. It gives me chills the way you sing it too.
