Whew! I've gotten a LOT of requests to make a pitch-correction for This Day Aria, but in my opinion, the original was so well-done that I wasn't able to improve it. In fact, it sounded worse. So I decided to pitch-correct what is pretty much the most popular fan version.
Sorry about any rocky moments in the pitch-correction, too. I had to do it all by hand, but there are still some parts that sound kind of, well, T-Pain-ish. I did my best to smooth them out, though.
I also enhanced the instrumental part of the song to sound crisper and richer than Victor's version. Listen to each with good headphones and you'll hear the difference.
Also, if you listen closely around the section where Shining Armor sings "Oh Princess Cadance, I'll soon be by your side" you'll hear Cadance's part very faintly. :)

I always felt "My Heart is only mine." Would work better in the context of male Chrissy but, both lyrics work.

Honest to Celestia, I think I like this version even more than the original in the show. Some of the lines just roll of the tongue easier and have more sinister implications. Not to mention I think the switched Shining Armor and controlled Cadence makes just a bit more sense story-wise.
Especially since Twilight would have known her brother better than anyone else instead of someone she knew as a fillie
I've said it before, and I'll say it again: These two episodes could've been on a WHOLE other level if only Shining Armor had been the one replaced instead of Cadence.

It would've been hilarious seeing that especially since it would give us more to Shining Armor and his character.
Also...think about this. Think about if they WERE swapped. Chrysalis fed so much love off in general, and was so strong because of it. What if she fed off Cadence? She has so much love for her subjects and her husband....AND she's the element of *LOVE*. COULD the Mane 6 have defeated her (or in this case...him) than? It's a touchy subject. Who knows, maybe in Season 5, Chrysalis will make a return with a VERY special King Metamorphsis. You never know ;)

No. She picked Cadance because everyone loves Cadance, not just Shining Armor. That's why she insists on using Cadance's full name, Mi Amore Cadenza. She feeds off of more than just Shining's love, so overall even if Cadance loves Shining Armor more than vice versa, Chrysalis would get less love.
Who else thinks this should have been the one in the show XD
Twilight finding out her own brother being evil would scar her.
How about the angle that to changling royals abducted the duo and the real duo are trapped in two parts of the cave and the twist is that one doesn’t know that the other is also a changling
if you really think about it, if Chrysalis was a male character instead would make this manipulation of Cadence even more cruel. this male version of chrysalis is effectively mind controlling the one pony that could give him & his kingdom what they need, Love. also he would be making Cadence be unable to be with the one who she really loves, and the male Chrysalis would keep Cadence in a mental prison while her body does whatever he wants it to do.
Personally, I think that's all the more reason this would have been great in the show. Take advantage of Cadence's love magic like that and feed off the love she spreads wherever she goes. Amazing
This would also give her brother more character development.
It's so cool! It's like Queen Chrysalis was gender-swapped (King Cocoon I guess), and took the place of Shining Armor instead. It would've been interesting if it had happened that way in the show.

I like how the lyrics work, because when the fake Shining Armor says "For my heart is dead inside", it'd be like her ex getting revenge with this master plan to marry her and take over the kingdom.
The "Mine all Mine *laughter* " was just excellent molevolent! :D

I am shaking from the excitement. THAT WAS PERFECT! The changed lines to correct the mistakes that would've occured from a colt-version, the stability of the rhythm, the amazing voices used. It gave me goosebumps. I...AM...STILL...SHAKING!

They sound totally amazing! However, the first thing I noticed, especially in the Crystal Pony Fair song, is that the voices are already pitch-corrected. They must be doing it themselves now. Therefore, I don't think I'll be making any changes to those songs (Bummer for me: less channel views). :/

This is AWESOME!! I saw someone use the original version in a non/disney crossover video and I was like 'eh...' I hated and loved the original but hearing this....I honestly got chills. As a proud pegasister, I admire the guys who sing the colt versions and do their best. But this...WAS INCREDIBLE!!!

This sounds nicely sung! This is the first time I've heard of pitch correction though. Do you manipulate the sounds to make them deeper or higher as needed?
Yep, exactly! It's a dodgy process, though, and it's easy to accidentally make it sound too "robotic" or "autotune"-y.
For this project, I used a (sadly now expired) trial of Antares Auto-Tune 7.
I love this because every time I come across it I imagine this scenario (shapeshifter replacing a groom or bride at their wedding) with the characters of my current hyperfixation lol

Rather than letting the software attempt to tune the song itself, I manually manipulated the vocal's pitch myself. So it's technically not auto-tune. ;)

I'm excited to hear a country song from Big Mac, reminiscing about the past; or perhaps seeing the Flim Flam Bros. making a comeback with an even more complex and confusing yet catchy song.
