Located in Northwestern Spain, Galicia makes up Spain's Atlantic coastline. The region is more green, luscious and rainy compared to other regions of Spain. Our first stop in Galicia was the coastal city of Vigo. A lovely city in its own right, it also acts as the main transport hub to our other major destination in Galicia, the Cíes Islands. The Cíes Islands form part of the Atlantic Islands National Park, and is filled with beautiful beaches and wildlife, notably birdlife.
After our time visiting Vigo and the Cíes Islands, we headed to the capital city of Galicia: Santiago de Compostela. Santiago de Compostela is known for being the final destination of the famous Camino de Santiago pilgrimage route, and the alleged burial site of the Biblical apostle St. James.
From Santiago de Compostela we headed north along the rugged Costa da Morte in the northwestern region of Galicia. We stopped at the Playa de los Cristales as well as the beautiful Playa de las Catedrales.
If you find yourself travelling around Spain, be sure to head over to the beautiful region of Galicia, you won't regret it! Watch our video of our time in Vigo and Santiago de Compostela for a detailed travel guide and itinerary of these two cities as well as the best way to explore other areas of Galicia!

Nice video! Although I wouldn't say Galicia is "a little rainier" than the rest of Spain. It actually is WAY rainier than the rest of Spain and one of the rainiest places in Europe.
Haha I believe it! After living in the UK, no wonder I felt at home in Galicia 🤪 thanks for watching! ☺️

The Sun was waiting for you, guys. Because as you said, it is something rare to see Sunny days in that region. However, it is very nice place
Indeed! Beautiful place. Thanks for watching!
It took me ages to find this vid I watched a bitbofbit last night but never got to finish it 😅
Glad you found it in the end! Hopefully it was helpful ☺️
Galicia is gorgeous. A true hidden gem for travelers to Spain. But you forgot to visit A Coruna. An amazing city with vibrant culture, history, amazing people and great nightlife.
We’ll have to add that to our list on our next visit!
Best video magic
Thanks!!
We agree, Galicia is such a unique and special region. ❤
@@LukeandTylerTravel, moitas grazas.

Galicia never was part kingdom of Portugal. Portugal was part kingdom of Galicia. Galicia is oldest than Portugal.
Ah okay good to know!
