2 Timothy 4:2-5, "preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort, with great patience and instruction. 3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires, 4 and will turn away their ears from the truth and will turn aside to myths. 5 But you, be sober in all things, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry."

Hear "Why You Can Believe The Bible" by Voddie Baucham at www.sermonaudio.com/sermoninfo.asp?SID=91314616480 & Dr. James White concerning "Can I Trust My Bible?" at www.sermonaudio.com/search.asp?seriesOnly=true&currSection=sermonstopic&sourceid=immanuelbc&keyword=Can+I+Trust+My+Bible%3F&keyworddesc=Can+I+Trust+My+Bible%3F which includes "Textual Criticism: Reliability, Answering Critics, Bible Versions & Sufficiency of Scripture." How Do We Know the Bible is True? Is it Really the Word of God? Many critics of Christianity attack the Bible’s truthfulness. Many don’t believe it because they say it was written by man. Is the Bible really God speaking to man? Is the Bible of human origin or a direct revelation from God? The Bible The word Bible is from the root word “biblios” which is Greek for “little books.“ The Bible contains 66 books and was written by 40 authors. The books you see in most Bibles have been tried and tested and were generally accepted by the early church. For centuries the Bible was not available to the general public due to their being only hand-copied ones available. The Bible has been banned from many nations, it has been burned by others, it has been declared out of date by moderns, but it has brought salvation to untold millions. It is the unbridled truth and the unchangeable Word of God that changes those who read it. When people read it, it reads them too! It comforts the afflicted and afflicts the comfortable. What follows is conclusive evidence that we can believe that the Bible is God speaking to us and not just the words of men. Thus Says the Lord or Thus Says Man? If the Bible were indeed a work of man, then we would expect some of the words to say, “thus says the prophet Jeremiah” or “thus says Peter an Apostle of God” but it doesn’t. From what I could count, “Thus says the Lord” is recorded 418 times. If it were of human origin, then we would read somewhere that the Bible or the message came from a certain author but we never see that anywhere. On the contrary, we read over 1,000 times where “Jesus said” and “Thus says the Lord” were written down. In fact, even the Book of Revelation is not called John’s Book of Revelation at all. In Revelation 1:1-2 we see where the words of this book came from: “The revelation from Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show his servants what must soon take place. He made it known by sending his angel to his servant John.” So John was just the recipient of the book as he just wrote down what he was told. Paul said, “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness” (2 Tim 3:16). Paul clearly said that all Scripture is God-breathed…not just the New Testament or the Old Testament, but all Scripture. Peter reiterates it by writing, “For prophecy never had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit” (2 Pet 1:21). Peter would tell you that “you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet’s own interpretation” (2 Pet 1:20). God gives a very serious warning to anyone who takes away or adds to any of the words in the Bible, indicating that only He gives the words of this book and no human had better tamper with it. In Revelation 22:19 God warns that if anyone adds to or takes away any of the words of the Bible, He “…shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city (heaven or the new Jerusalem)”. This same warning is given in the Old Testament in Deuteronomy 4:2.
If God has revealed Himself in propositional form, that revelation would have certain properties due to His infinite knowledge and moral perfection: It would be entirely true - His infinite knowledge would prevent errors and His truthfulness would keep Him from deception. It would be a coherent unity, therefore not self- contradictory. It would contain God's will for man, and provide the motivation to live according to that will (1). God has revealed Himself in the Bible without error. The Bible itself claims this inerrancy (2 Timothy 3:16-17 (2); Matthew 5:18 (3); etc.). Let's look at some of the proofs for the Bible's claim to be the infallible word of God. Archaeological evidence The first proof we have testifying to the reliability of the Bible is the archaeological evidence. Nelson Glueck, a respected Jewish archaeologist claims: "It may be stated categorically that no archaeological discovery has ever contradicted a biblical reference." (4) The liberals made wild claims against the Bible a hundred years ago but now they are silent. This is not true of other religions. The Mormon claim for inspiration of the Book of Mormon has been categorically condemned by the Smithsonian Institute because of the fallacies shown by archaeology; this is not so with the Bible. A.N. Sherwin-White, a respected classical historian at Oxford says, "For Acts the confirmation of historicity is overwhelming...", although he himself was not a Christian. Isaiah 40:8

Listeners will notice numerous similar patterns among the final words & actions of the damned. Many seem to sense the flames of hell & the presence of demonic entities before death overtakes them. An excellent Biblical analysis of hell is given by the outstanding theologian Jonathan Edwards - "The Torments of Hell Are Exceeding Great, A Rich Man Went to Hell and Was Tormented" at www.sermonaudio.com/sermoninfo.asp?SID=51513154140. Come to the Biblical Jesus Christ today for salvation in repentance & faith (2 Corinthians 6:2, "behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation; Acts 16:31, "And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved;" Mark 1:15, "The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel;" 1 Corinthians 15:1-4, "Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, 2 by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you-unless you believed in vain. 3 For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4 and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures," Luke 6:46, Jesus said, "And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?", Revelation 1:8, Jesus is the "Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.", Revelation 1:18, Jesus says "I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death." Becoming a true Christian is not easy therefore count the cost. Becoming a true Christian is not saying a quick prayer & thinking you're okay. You must be supernaturally "born again" by a sovereign act of God through the power of the Holy Spirit (John 1:12-13, 3:3-8; Titus 3:5-7; John 6:37, 39, 44, 63, 65; Ephesians 3:16-21; Romans 8:1-17; 1 Corinthians 2:10-16; 2 Timothy 2:24-26; Luke 14:26-35, "Luke 14:26-35, 26 “If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, yes, and his own life also, he cannot be My disciple. 27 And whoever does not bear his cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple. 28 For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost, whether he has enough to finish it- 29 lest, after he has laid the foundation, and is not able to finish, all who see it begin to mock him, 30 saying, ‘This man began to build and was not able to finish’? 31 Or what king, going to make war against another king, does not sit down first and consider whether he is able with ten thousand to meet him who comes against him with twenty thousand? 32 Or else, while the other is still a great way off, he sends a delegation and asks conditions of peace. 33 So likewise, whoever of you does not forsake all that he has cannot be My disciple.34 “Salt is good; but if the salt has lost its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? 35 It is neither fit for the land nor for the dunghill, but men throw it out. He who has ears to hear, let him hear!” Becoming a true Christian will change your life forever in this life & the next (2 Corinthians 5:17, "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new."). Beg God to save you since you cannot do it by your own righteousness & good works (Ephesians 2:8-10, "8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast. 10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them."). Keep begging God for salvation through Jesus Christ until the day comes that He grants your request (Acts 13:48, "Now when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad and glorified the word of the Lord. And as many as had been appointed to eternal life believed." & 2 Timothy 2:25-26, "24 And a servant of the Lord must not quarrel but be gentle to all, able to teach, patient, 25 in humility correcting those who are in opposition, if God perhaps will grant them repentance, so that they may know the truth, 26 and that they may come to their senses and escape the snare of the devil, having been taken captive by him to do his will."). John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." A free written transcript of this message is available at media-cloud.sermonaudio.com/text/122161154323.pdf. Transcripts in 20 languages of this message are available at www.sermonaudio.com/sermoninfo.asp?SID=122161154323. Larry Wessels, director of Christian Answers of Austin, Texas/ Christian Debater (CZcams channel: CANSWERSTV at czcams.com/users/CAnswersTV; websites: www.BibleQuery.org, www.HistoryCart.com & www.MuslimHope.com) discusses his favorite Bible preachers & teachers as found on the website called www.SermonAudio.com. Many Christians do not utilize their available time for proper Bible study to maximize their devotion to God's Word & to an obtaining of a greater understanding of the very nature of God & His ways. The Devil's greatest weapon in his war against God's people is ignorance of the revelation of God as revealed through His prophets & apostles as found in the Holy Scriptures. God puts great importance on His revealed Word as found in Psalm 138:2, "for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name" (KJV). Jesus Himself mentioned this importance again & again but one of the most striking references is found in Luke 16:27-31 where he stated, "And he said, ‘Then I beg you, father, that you send him to my father’s house- 28 for I have five brothers-in order that he may warn them, so that they will not also come to this place of torment.’ 29 But Abraham *said, ‘They have Moses and the Prophets; let them hear them.’ 30 But he said, ‘No, father Abraham, but if someone goes to them from the dead, they will repent!’ 31 But he said to him, ‘If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be persuaded even if someone rises from the dead." Thus the Word of God is paramount to knowing God & His will which in turn, through the power of the Holy Spirit, leads to eternal life & salvation from the coming wrath of God through the gospel of Jesus Christ for all those who trust Jesus & His word. Jesus said, “Why do you call Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do what I say?"
Another problem facing Christians is false prophets who are everywhere to be found. 1 John 4:1 says, " Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world." People who do not know what the Bible teaches are sitting ducks for the devil & his false religious & secular prophets. Thus the best defense against this threat is learning from good Bible teachers & preachers & deeply studying the Bible for oneself. 2 Timothy 2:15, "Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth." 1 Thessalonians 5:21, "But examine everything carefully; hold fast to that which is good". With good Bible study along with sound Bible teachers & preachers the man or woman of God will be equipped to fulfill 1 Peter 3:15, "But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear" and 2 Timothy 4:2-5, "preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort, with great patience and instruction.
It is our desire that this video presentation will be of some help to all those who earnestly seek to diligently study the Word of God on a regular & continual basis. Death is coming for every person but the Word of God which is centered on the Lord Jesus Christ is our sure foundation to lead Christians through this dangerous & evil world to a glorious end (Isaiah 40:8, "The grass withers, the flower fades, But the word of our God stands forever."
Outstanding Bible teachers & preachers: Charles Haddon Spurgeon, John Bunyan, A.W. 2 Peter 1:2-3, "Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord; 3 seeing that His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence."

I have been asked about the best ways to study & learn more about the Bible. I have found that the best ways to study & learn the Bible is not to waste a lot of time out of each of your days on irrelevant things but use valuable free time to study & learn God's Word (Ephesians 5:16, "making the most of your time, because the days are evil."; 2 Timothy 2:15, "Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth."; 2 Timothy
3:15-17, "and that from childhood you have known the sacred writings which are able to give you the wisdom that leads to salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. 16 All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; 17 so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work."; Isaiah 40:8, "The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God stands forever."; see also Psalm 119). The idea is
to have God in all your thoughts because the wicked do not (Psalm 10:4, "The wicked in his proud countenance does not seek God; God is in none of his thoughts.").
Since we find ourselves living in the twenty-first century we should utilize the modern technology that is available to us. Having a cell phone makes it incredibly easy to study the Bible at all times of the day. Simply putting a good free Bible app on your cell phone is a good way to start. I recommend the free app from Bible By Life.Church at itunes.apple.com/us/app/bible/id282935706?mt=8. This Bible app is on more than 180 million devices around the world. People are reading, listening
to, watching, and sharing the Bible using this #1 rated Bible App-completely free. Over 1,000 Bible versions, in hundreds of
languages. Hundreds of Reading Plans, in over 40 languages. Add your own Verse Images, highlights, bookmarks, and public or private notes. You can customize your reading experience with this app. Access everything when you’re connected, or download specific versions for offline use. Having a good set of head phones or ear buds really helps in public places as you can listen to audio of the Bible anywhere at any time in any language or Bible version you like. One time, even while on vacation
on South Padre Island in South Texas, in my swimming suit just walking along the beach near the water's edge, I listened to a complete sermon by Charles Haddon Spurgeon about the Bible by way of my cell phone & ear buds.
I have had quite a few people ask me over the years about what Bible or Bible versions I would recommend. Most people know I use a King James Version (KJV) on my television shows but my favorite personal study Bible is the New American Standard Bible (NASB). I bought a copy of it in early 1982 & have used it ever since. Many do not like it because it is rigid & a little wooden in translation, unlike the New International Version (NIV), but it stays closest to the actual Hebrew & Greek text & that's what I like about it. I also recommend the English Standard Version (ESV) - that's what my Reformed Baptist church Dayspring Fellowship of Austin, Texas uses (www.DSF.org), the New King James Version (NKJV) & the New Geneva Study Bible. I
generally do not use a NIV because of all the vicious attacks against it by KJV Onlyists & others (see our playlist on the King James Only crowd at czcams.com/play/PL2CDA855486B09128.html; don't get me wrong, I am not saying that the KJV Onlyists' attacks are true against the NIV). I do like "The Comparative Study Bible" by Zondervan, July 1984, which includes 4 translations within its covers located side by side which has the New International Version, the New American Standard Bible, the Amplified Bible & the King James Bible. This Comparative Study Bible is useful for looking up individual verses & passages while quickly viewing the scope of translation offered.
My favorite Bible translation is the New American Standard Bible (NASB). Here is a review of that translation - "Question: "What is the New American Standard Bible (NASB)?"
New American Standard Bible - History
The New American Standard Bible (NASB) has evolved from the American Standard Version (ASV) of 1901. The ASV, in turn, was the American version of the Revised Version (RV) of 1885, also called the English Revised Version
(ERV). While preserving the literal accuracy of the ASV, the NASB
sought to render grammar and terminology in contemporary English.
Special attention was given to the rendering of verb tenses to give the
English reader a rendering as close as possible to the sense of the
original Greek and Hebrew texts. In 1995, the text of the NASB was
updated for greater understanding and smoother reading. In an effort to
ensure accuracy, recent research on the oldest and best Greek
manuscripts of the New Testament was reviewed, and some passages were
updated for even greater fidelity to the original manuscripts. The
original NASB earned the reputation of being the most accurate English
Bible translation. The New American Standard Bible
update (1995) carried on the NASB tradition of being a true Bible
translation, revealing what the original manuscripts actually say-not
merely what the translator believes they mean.
New American Standard Bible - Translation Method
    The New American Standard Bible
is most known for its strict adherence to "formal equivalence" in its
translation. The goal of the NASB is to be as literal "word-for-word" as
possible. Most Bible scholars hold the NASB to be the most literal of
all the modern English Bible translations. In order to make the NASB
easier to read while ensuring accuracy, the following methods were used
    in the 1995 update:
    • Archaic "thee's" and "thou's," etc., were updated to modern English.

Words and phrases that could be misunderstood due to changes in their
meaning during the past 20 years were updated to current English.

Verses with difficult syntax or vocabulary were retranslated into
smoother English. Verbs with multiple meanings were retranslated to
    accurately reflect the context.
    • Recent research on the oldest and best Greek manuscripts of the New Testament was reviewed, and some passages were updated.
The NASB 1995 update continued the NASB's tradition of literal
translation of the original Greek and Hebrew without compromise. Changes
in the text have been kept within the strict parameters set forth by
the Lockman Foundation's Fourfold Aim-that they be true to the original
manuscripts, grammatically correct, understandable, and give the Lord
Jesus Christ His proper place, the place which the Word gives Him.
Many people waste a lot of time listening to music, radio talk shows, sports or whatever while driving in their cars. My car has a CD player so I listen to the Bible on CD just driving around. You can purchase Bible CDs at the following - www.biblebible.com/audio-bible-on-cd/ .
When it comes to more in depth Bible study when you are at home alone I recommend our website www.biblequery.org/ where over 8000 Bible questions are answered.

Romans 10:14-15, "How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher? 15 How will they preach unless they are sent? Just as it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news of good things!”
May the Lord bless you as you study His Word,

Thanks for that comment! It's great to know that fellow Christians are out there somewhere converting our ministry messages for more convenient listening. About 20 years ago a Christian brother told me that he took a trip to Siberia & in the mornings he would go jogging for about an hour & he would listen to audio cassette recordings of some of our various cable television programs on his Sony Walkman audio cassette player. I never forgot that since it was so cool for me to realize that someone was actually hearing our ministry broadcasts as far away as Siberia. Now by God's grace through the internet over 200 different countries & provinces are hearing our CZcams videos in any given month as we get close to 5000 views some days across our 660 videos. Blessings to you & yours. 1 Peter 3:15

"Evangelical" Christianity (see our video "ECUMENICAL CHAOS: Going to Bed With Roman Catholic False Prophets & Idolaters" at czcams.com/video/S76Nvi6p0lw/video.html) is awash in bad theology (via Wesley & Finney), bad leadership (like Billy Graham & TBN), & Biblical ignorance (87% don't know the Gospel or what justificaton is) thus it seems to accept anyone who claims to be a Christian (like Romanists, Mormons, Seventh-day Adventists or whoever). For proof of this see the following: "Methodist Founder & Self Proclaimed Heathen John Wesley Said He Never Believed In or Loved God" (short version) at czcams.com/video/L_bz2RyShFI/video.html & "JOHN WESLEY, FOUNDER OF METHODISM & AN ARMINIAN, SAID HE DID NOT LOVE GOD & WAS "AN HONEST HEATHEN" (long version) at czcams.com/video/6Vo3ljr7ccs/video.html; BEWARE OF FALSE PROPHETS: CHARLES GRANDISON FINNEY - PHONY REVIVALIST & ARCH-HERETIC at czcams.com/video/0rUbi8AJRw4/video.html, "Exclusive Interview with Dave Hunt about the Gospel-less Mother Teresa & Compromiser Billy Graham" at czcams.com/video/8YtX1DirDI4/video.html, Our playlist "Dealing with Phony TV Preachers (TBN) & King James Onlyites" at czcams.com/play/PL2CDA855486B09128.html & "SAD STATE OF THE CHURCH: 87% OF EVANGELICAL "CHRISTIANS" DON'T KNOW WHAT GOSPEL JUSTIFICATION IS" at czcams.com/video/im4ozy_EiR4/video.html. Billy Graham's false views on universal salvation & hell distort the Gospel message & is another reason he is so popular with the world (Galatians 1:6-10, see our playlist "Dealing with Hell, Lake of Fire, Unpopular Bible Doctrines" with 30 videos at czcams.com/play/PLE04A1D0DFE95B95E.html). Please reference the websites: www.BereanBeacon.org & www.CWRC-RZ.org. The simple Biblical fact is that few are going to be saved from the wrath of God & hell (Luke 13:23-30, Matthew 7:13-29, etc.); see our video on this: "Unpopular Bible Doctrines #2: Many "Christians" Are Not Real; God Loves Judgment; No Forgiveness" at czcams.com/video/iJIlReP9SFw/video.html. All the ecumenical "love" & "harmony" in the world is not going to change the fact that God still hates false religions (Deuteronomy 28:64, 32:17, 21, Leviticus 17:7, Psalm 106:37, Jeremiah 44:3, 1 Corinthians 10:20, see also biblehub.com/deuteronomy/32-17.htm) & false doctrine (Revelation 2:6,14-15, 2 Peter 2:15, etc.). Thus following the Bible alone is the only safe path to travel (2 Timothy 3:15-17, 4:2-5, 1 Timothy 1:3-11, 6:3-5, etc.; see our video "WITHOUT "SOLA SCRIPTURA" (THE BIBLE ALONE), WHO IS TELLING THE TRUTH?" at czcams.com/video/dcMnF6tgya0/video.html). 2 Timothy 2:15

The most terrifying words a professing Christian could ever hear would be Jesus saying, "I never knew you; depart from Me, you workers of lawlessness" (Matt. 7:21-23). The Lord Jesus will declare those horrifying words to many, not a few, who will boast in the many works they did in His Name. They called Him Lord but did not obey His first command to "Repent and believe the Gospel" (Mark 1:15). Who are the "many" who will be turned away on Judgment Day? They are those who thought they could merit eternal life by the works they were doing instead of trusting in the work Christ had done. They also never turned from their sin to follow Jesus Christ in faith. Since they never obeyed the Gospel of Christ, they will pay the penalty of eternal destruction, away from the presence of the Lord (2 Thessalonians 1:9). Tragically, when Jesus declares to them, "Depart from Me," there will be no second chance, no excuses, and no blaming the false teachers who deceived them.
The Lord Jesus also referred to the "many" when He spoke of the two paths to eternity. Many will travel the broad road to destruction instead of the narrow road to eternal life (Matt. 7:13-14). Rather than striving to enter the narrow gate by testing every man's teaching, they foolishly follow false teachers, who are wolves disguised in sheep's clothing (Luke 13:24; Matt. 7:15).
It is a sobering thought to realize that 83% of Americans (click on abcnews.go.com/US/story?id=90356&page=1) profess faith in Christ, but only a few of them show evidence of being born again as new creatures in Christ. According to the research, many of them cannot even communicate the Gospel that has the power to save souls. Part of the blame must be placed on man-centered methods of evangelism such as making a decision to "accept" Christ, or repeating a sinner's prayer, or asking Jesus into your heart, or coming forward for salvation. None of these methods are found in the Bible. The only saving response to the Gospel of Grace is to repent and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ (Mark 1:15; Acts 16:31). Part of the blame can also be placed on those who compromise the Gospel to make it more inclusive and less offensive (Gal. 1:6-10).
With so many false converts, the church has become a mission field. Many professors of Christ are not really possessors of Christ! They are strangers to the new birth. They have never passed from death unto life. They remain condemned because they have not been justified. They remain enemies of God even though they profess to be His friends! They remain enslaved to sin because they have never been set free. They profess the Savior with their lips, but their hearts are far from Him. They deceive other people with their external righteousness, but they cannot deceive God! They are unaware of their pending peril, because they have never examined themselves to see if their faith is genuine (2 Cor. 13:5).
The best way we can prove our faith is genuine is to examine it through the lens of Scripture. The apostle John wrote his first epistle so that those who believe in the Lord Jesus may know that they have eternal life (1 John 5:13). We also see many characteristics of false converts in God's Word. Some of them are listed below:
You think you are a good person (Romans 3:12).
You have a zeal for God without knowledge (Rom. 10:1-4).
You have knowledge of God without obedience (Titus 1:16).
You do not pursue sanctification (Heb. 12:14; 1 Thess. 4:3).
You are self-righteous without repentance (Luke 18:9-14).
You seek to establish your own righteousness (Rom. 10:3).
You think you can merit or earn eternal life (Titus 3:5).
You are unwilling to forgive others (Mat. 6:15).
You have no desire to follow Jesus (Luke 9:23).
You call Jesus 'Lord' but do not do what He says (Luke 6:46).
You do not love other Christians (1 John 4:20-21).
You love your sin (John 3:19).
You have not departed from iniquity (2 Timothy 2:19).
You condone or promote things God hates (Prov. 6:16-19).
You are a mere hearer of the Word, not a doer (James 1:22).
You are full of pride with no humility (James 4:6).
You walk in darkness (1 John 1:6).
You live according to your sinful nature (Romans 8:5).
You do not love the truth (2 Thess. 2:10-12).
You take Jesus as Savior but not as Lord (Romans 10:9).
You desire Jesus as a priest to pardon sin, but not as a prophet to instruct you or a king to rule over you.
Please know the assurance that we are truly saved is not based on a past decision but on a present reality. So what if we are unsure about our faith and our salvation? We find the answer in God's Word:
Abide in God's Word - then you will know the truth that will set you free from religious deception (John 8:31-32).
Repent - with godly sorrow for your sins and cry out to God for mercy (Luke 18:13; 2 Cor. 7:10).
Believe the Gospel - follow the Lord Jesus Christ in faith (Rom. 10:9-10).
Love God - with all you heart, soul and mind (Mat. 22:37; 1 Cor. 16:22).
What should we do if we know someone who may be a false convert? Ask them to share the events surrounding their conversion. If their conversion testimony does not line up with Scripture, ask them more questions. Speak the truth in love. Give them Gospel tracts to encourage them (contact our ministry for free tracts & literature at cdebater@aol.com). Give them links to Biblical messages such as countrysidebible.org/cbcmedia?return=single&mediacode=si180711p or "TRUE BELIEVERS & NON BELIEVERS ACCORDING TO THE GOSPEL OF THE REFORMATION: WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE?" at czcams.com/video/3_dN0oC57Rk/video.html. Link them to our CZcams channel CAnswersTV (which stands for "Christian Answers Television") at czcams.com/users/CAnswersTV or our website www.BibleQuery.org. Let them know eternity is forever! We can be wrong about a lot of things in this life and still survive, but if we are wrong about our faith, we will pay for that mistake forever and ever (see our playlist "Dealing with Hell, Lake of Fire, Unpopular Bible Doctrines" with 43 videos at czcams.com/play/PLE04A1D0DFE95B95E.html. 3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but

“Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them, Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.” -Luke 13:23-24 Do you understand the question in the above Scripture? “Lord, are there few that be saved?” Someone came to Jesus and wanted to know if “few” people were saved. It's interesting that the person didn't ask if “many” people were saved. Evidently the person had been listening to Jesus' preaching and became convinced that few people were really saved. When the Bible speaks of being “saved,” it means saved from God's wrath upon Christ-rejecting sinners in Hell (for more on hell see our playlist "Dealing with Hell, Lake of Fire, Unpopular Bible Doctrines" with 30 videos at czcams.com/play/PLE04A1D0DFE95B95E.html & "Eternal Punishment, Part 1" at www.sermonaudio.com/sermoninfo.asp?SID=12607145320 & "Eternal Punishment, Part 2" at www.sermonaudio.com/sermoninfo.asp?SID=12607143539). Romans 5:9, “Much more then, being now justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.” All Christ-rejecters go to Hell if they die in their sins. If a person is “saved,” then they are going to Heaven when they die. Romans 10:13, “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” We are saved from the eternal consequences of sin, which is punishment in hellfire. To be saved is synonymous with being “born again.” When a person becomes a born-again child of God, they are saved eternally. EVERY human being MUST to be saved (i.e., born again) to enter into Heaven. John 3:3, “Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” If a person dies in their sins without believing on Jesus as the Savior, the Son of God, they will burn in Hell forever (Revelation 20:11-15).Just as the disciple who asked Jesus the question in Luke 13:23, I myself often wonder how few are truly born again believers. I dare say not many. Let's consider the question again...“Lord, are there few that be saved?” There are over one billion Catholics in the world who errantly believe that the Catholic Church is going to save them. Roman Catholics do not trust Jesus Christ alone; but rather, rely upon manmade traditions and self-righteous works to save them. According to the Word of God, genuine Catholics are hellbound in their sins because they are trusting in self-righteousness (Romans 3:20; 10:3-4; Ephesians 2:8-9; Titus 3:5, see our playlist "Dealing with Roman Catholicism, Idolatry & the Virgin Mary" with 129 videos & counting at czcams.com/play/PLFFA8D69D1B914715.html). There are over one billion Islamic Muslims in the world who deny that Jesus Christ ever died upon a cross for our sins (see our playlist "Dealing with Islam, Muslims: Sunni, Shi'ite, Alawites, Sufis" with 67 videos at czcams.com/play/PL1C7F68B548009FDD.html). According to the Bible, they are antichrists and liars on their way to Hell (1st John 2:22-23). There are over 183,000 cults in Japan alone that deny Jesus Christ as the only Savior of the world. Other false religions include Scientology, Hinduism, Wicca, Buddhism, Seventh Day Adventism, Zoroastrianism, Greek Orthodox, Judaism, Jehovah Witness, Mormonism, Freemasonry, and many more (see our CZcams channel CAnswersTV at czcams.com/users/CAnswersTV with over 615 videos covering most of these anti Christian religions in detail). Why do I call them “false religions”? It's simply because they all corrupt the Biblical teaching of salvation, i.e., the gospel (see our playlist "Dealing with Anti Trinitarians (UPC) & Early Church History" with 48 videos at czcams.com/play/PL9931642C7C8FFEAB.html). Most false religions ADD works to faith. Mormons and Jehovah Witnesses DENY the deity of Jesus Christ (i.e., that He is Almighty God) - see our playlists "Dealing with Mormonism, the Religion of Mitt Romney & Utah" with 20 videos at czcams.com/play/PL11CD0EE613306BB5.html & "Dealing with Jehovah's Witnesses, Watchtower Society" with 22 videos at czcams.com/play/PLCF0ADB29C0EB8C40.html. Seventh Day Adventists falsely and deceitfully redefine faith to mean works (see our playlist, "Dealing with Seventh-day Adventism & Their "Prophetess" with 23 videos at czcams.com/play/PL5316CC6F66F24283.html). There are hundreds of millions of followers of Hinduism who deny Jesus as the Savior, the Son of God (see our playlist "Dealing with Anti Christ Cults, "New Age" & World Religions" with 42 videos at czcams.com/play/PL69A3047B3497590A.html). Judaism denies that Jesus is the Messiah. The same Pharisaical Jews who crucified Jesus 2,000 years ago are crucifying Him today. The Campbellite Church of Christ deceitfully speaks of faith in Christ, but also requires water baptism and living the Christian life to be saved. That is works salvation, which is a lie of the Devil (Romans 3:20; Romans 4:5-6, see our playlist "Dealing with "Saved by Works & Baptism", "Church of Christ" with 72 videos at czcams.com/play/PLBD55090718DA6D3D.html). Every Catholic claims not to worship Mary, but the second commandment (Exodus 20:3-5) forbids even bowing to Mary (which every Catholic does, for more on the Roman Catholic installation of the worship of saints, images, & polytheism in church history hear "Perseverance of the Saints & the Worship of Saints (Historical Theology Vol. 1, #17)" at www.sermonaudio.com/sermoninfo.asp?SID=14101149112 & "The Worship of Images & Civil Authorities (Historical Theology Vol. 1, #18)" at www.sermonaudio.com/sermoninfo.asp?SID=15101057200). There are hundreds of millions of so-called Charismatic & Pentecostal "Christians" who trade the Word of God for their own wild emotional experiences & replace the Biblical gospel for a gospel of "heath & wealth" despite 1 Timothy 6:10 saying, "For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows" - see our two video series on this: "Blasphemous Charismatic & Pentecostal Mayhem #1: Mad Delusional Experiences Replace Scripture Alone" at czcams.com/video/Kbv7YsyMf0I/video.html begins one series while "AGONY OF THE PHONY WORD-FAITH TV PREACHERS #1: MIND SCIENCE ORIGINS OF KENNETH HAGIN & HIS DISCIPLES" at czcams.com/video/VwQ5BLrYD_U/video.html begins another series. Even secular humanism, atheism & agnosticism can be considered faith based religions due to the fact that atheists & humanists have a faith that God does not exist while agnostics are willingly ignorant concerning God (see our playlist "Dealing with "God Hating" Atheists, Agnostics, Know-It-Alls" with 20 videos at czcams.com/play/PL640E505B96CD6B39.html). Many animistic religions exist throughout the world as well which are described in Romans 1:18-32, see our video "FOREIGN MISSIONS FOR CHRIST: PREACHING TO CANNIBALS, WITCH DOCTORS & TRIBAL NATIVES" at czcams.com/video/ACnDLyXa9H0/video.html. All of the religions I have just mentioned account for well over seven eighths of the earth's population or more. Keep in mind, besides all of this, Jesus said, "And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God" (Matthew 19:24). Who are considered "rich people"? It's not just millionaires & world leaders but many lesser wealthy persons who exceed the vast majority of mankind in money & possessions (Luke16:19-31 is a good example of this in the parable of the rich man & Lazarus). See the video "It is Difficult for Americans to Enter Heaven - Tim Conway" at czcams.com/video/bDwNGXciNCQ/video.html. Statistics provided in this video show that even the poorest Americans living in the United States have a better net income than most of the world. For instance, according to Forbes magazine, June 1, 2013, the bottom 5% of United States citizens are richer than 68% of people living throughout the rest of the world; U.S. citizens who make $50,000 a year are richer than 99.69% of the people in the rest of the world; U.S. citizens who make $20,000 a year are richer than 96% of the people in the rest of the world, U.S. citizens who make $10,000 a year are richer than 84% of the people in the rest of the world; U.S. citizens who make $100,000 a year are in a category that only 8 out of every 10,000 people achieve in the entire world. Will it be difficult for rich Americans who don't think they're rich to enter into the kingdom of heaven? Jesus already gave the answer. For more on this hear "Those Whom God Hates He Is Often Pleased To Give Plenty Of Earthly Things To, Edwards" at www.sermonaudio.com/sermoninfo.asp?SID=427121150346 by the well known theologian Jonathan Edwards who also preached the most famous sermon on North American soil called, "Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God" at www.sermonaudio.com/sermoninfo.asp?SID=770213541. The best way to interpret the Bible is with the Bible. God said what He meant and meant what He said. Let the Bible speak for itself. Jesus answered the question in Luke 13:24 with the following words...“...for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.” Most of the people in this world are going straight to Hell when they die because they have not been born again (hear "Few Saved From A Burning Hell" at www.sermonaudio.com/sermoninfo.asp?SID=3514145121). Lies and deception are everywhere! "TRUE BELIEVERS & NON BELIEVERS ACCORDING TO THE GOSPEL OF THE REFORMATION: WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE?" at czcams.com/video/3_dN0oC57Rk/video.html).

This is in response to someone's comment on our video about John 3:16. See our video "DEBATE: John 3:16, Does "World" Always Mean Everybody Who Ever Lived or Not?" at czcams.com/video/E6duguuzfho/video.html. Your understanding of that verse is out of line with the context of the rest of the Bible. See our video "The God of the Bible Does Not Love Everybody But Actually Hates Many Instead (Romans 9:22)" at czcams.com/video/0zHEJCHgQVg/video.html. Sometimes we hear that God hates the sin but loves the sinner. This is not true. A. H. Strong (“Systematic Theology,” p. 290) observes that God both hates and loves the sinner at the same time: “hates him as he is a living and wilful antagonist of truth and holiness, loves him as he is a creature capable of good and ruined by his transgression.” In other words, God hates the sin, and he also hates the sinner. “You hate all who do iniquity. You destroy those who speak falsehood; the LORD abhors the man of bloodshed and deceit” (Ps. 5:5-6). This and many other passages show that God’s hatred is directed against the PERSON who sins and not just the sin itself. Sometimes just a general category is mentioned. “Everyone who acts unjustly is an abomination to the LORD your God,” says Deuteronomy 25:16. “The LORD tests the righteous and the wicked, and the one who loves violence His soul hates” (Ps. 11:5). The seven things that God hates in Proverbs 6:16-19 include “a false witness who utters lies, and one who spreads strife among brothers.” He also hates “the perverse in heart” (Prov. 11:20), “everyone who is proud in heart” (Prov. 16:5), and whoever justifies the wicked or condemns the righteous (Prov. 17:15). Other passages describe God’s hatred for specific persons. Leviticus 20:23 speaks of God as abhorring or loathing the Canaanites. Sometimes his hatred is directed against Israel. When the Lord saw their idolatry, “He was filled with wrath, and greatly abhorred Israel” (Ps. 78:59). “I have come to hate her,” he says (Jer. 12:8; cf. Hosea 9:15). He also hated Esau (Edom), says Malachi 1:3 (cf. Rom. 9:13). We must not take these passages lightly. To be hated by the holy God is a terrible, terrifying thing. The Old Testament word translated “to hate” expresses “an emotional attitude toward persons and things which are opposed, detested, despised and with which one wishes to have no contact or relationship. It is therefore the opposite of love. Whereas love draws and unites, hate separates and keeps distant. The hated and hating persons are considered foes or enemies and are considered odious, utterly unappealing” (G. Van Gronigen, “Theological Wordbook of the OT,” Moody 1980, II:880). Could anything be more terrifying than to hear God say, “I hate you”? Keep in mind what Jesus said in Matthew 5:45, "That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust." In this life God shows a general "love" to all men as Matthew 5:45 indicates but the personal, individual love of God is reserved only for His elect (Amos 3:2, Romans 8:27-39, Acts 13:48, 1 Peter 1:2, "Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied."). Hear how Jonathan Edwards describes this in his sermon "Those Whom God Hates He Is Often Pleased To Give Plenty Of Earthly Things To, Edwards" at www.sermonaudio.com/sermoninfo.asp?SID=427121150346. See our playlist "Dealing with Predestination, Arminianism & Calvinism" with 81 videos & counting at czcams.com/play/PLA932903698A56780.html which may help you understand what the Bible actually teaches on this issue. Amos 3:2, "You only have I known of all the families of the earth: therefore I will punish you for all your iniquities." Deuteronomy 7:6-10, " For thou art an holy people unto the Lord thy God: the Lord thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth. 7 The Lord did not set his love upon you, nor choose you, because ye were more in number than any people; for ye were the fewest of all people: 8 But because the Lord loved you, and because he would keep the oath which he had sworn unto your fathers, hath the Lord brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you out of the house of bondmen, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt. 9 Know therefore that the Lord thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations; 10 And repayeth them that hate him to their face, to destroy them: he will not be slack to him that hateth him, he will repay him to his face."

1 John 4:1 says, "Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world." People who do not know what the Bible teaches are sitting ducks for the devil & his false religious & secular prophets.
It is our desire that this video presentation will be of some help to all those who earnestly seek to diligently study the Word of God on a regular & continual basis. Death is coming for every person but the Word of God which is centered on the Lord Jesus Christ is our sure foundation to lead Christians through this dangerous & evil world to a glorious end. Isaiah 40:8, "The grass withers, the flower fades, But the word of our God stands forever."

Thanks phizzelout for your comment about our polemics. I would have certainly mentioned David Wood on this video had David Wood had anything on www.SermonAudio.com but he does not at this time (the David Wood of czcams.com/users/Acts17Apologetics). I believe David Wood is, in my opinion, the top Christian apologist dealing with Islam, although Jay Smith (I just found out that Jay is on SermonAudio at www.sermonaudio.com/search.asp?speakeronly=true&currsection=sermonsspeaker&keyword=Dr._Jay_Smith) & Sam Shamoun are right up there too in their knowledge about Islam. I do not rate James White as highly as them on the subject of Islam but James White made my www.SermonAudio.com list for two main reasons: 1. his apologetic material is listed on SermonAudio with over 2000 entries (David has no entries there & Jay only a few) 2. in my opinion, dealing with all subjects (not just Islam) James White is the best overall Christian apologist out there with over 160 moderated debates against adversaries of all types on all kinds of topics. Blessings to you brother. Jude 3

Does the Roman Catholic religion really have a 2000 year old history as Roman Catholics constantly argue for? Again & again Romanists argue that their Roman church organization & its hierarchy go back to "Pope" Peter in the first century. Our Director of Research Steve Morrison (webmaster for www.historycart.com/ - which deals with early Christian church history; www.biblequery.org/ - which answers over 8500 Bible questions, & www.muslimhope.com/ - which refutes the false religion of Islam created by Muhammad) has the following reply for Roman Catholics who make the ridiculous "2000
year" claim: "Hi, Just a little correction here. It was said, "Yet only the Catholic Church and its 2000 year history can match."
There was no Roman Catholic church back then. The first person to be called a "Pope" was Heraclas of Alexandria (236-249 A.D.). The Copts trace their popes from him, not Roman Catholics.
The first Roman bishop to be called a Pope was Siricius (c.384-399
A.D.), after Nicea. So the Copts have prior claim to a pope, not Roman
Catholics. A Roman Catholic today cannot consider the Copts as
non-Christians, since the Roman Catholic church in more recent times has
restored communion with the Coptic church.
Furthermore the Greek Orthodox church, which orthodox people would argue
goes back father than the Roman Catholic church, never needed a pope.
The 325 A.D. Council of Nicea established four "central" metropolitan
churches, not one. So if you accept the tradition of the church
councils, then by church tradition Rome is NOT the center of the church.
The orthodox church did not "break away" from the Roman Catholic
church; both churches excommunicated each other.
So if you are a Roman Catholic who wants to follow the truth, you must
stop saying things like "Yet only the Catholic Church and its 2000 year
history can match" because it is a provable, historical lie, as any
Greek Orthodox or Copt will strenuously tell you.
As Protestants, we want to go back to the Bible, not man-made
organizations with their brutal massacres, papal assassinations,
anti-popes, forced deposition of popes, a pope tried for heresy after
his death, torture and inquisitions, burning their own "saint" at the
stake, etc. But that is not my main point here.
My main point is that if a Roman Catholic brings up "Yet only the
Catholic Church and its 2000 year history can match," once they have
been shown that it is provably false, they have to now stop saying that,
or else they have disqualified yourselves as someone who cares about
    the truth. "

Ruby Tuesday - In order to understand the Reformed Baptist Church, we need to answer two preliminary questions: 1) What does it mean to be Baptist? 2) What does it mean to be Reformed? To be Baptist is to be part of a church or denomination that, broadly speaking, holds to adult believer baptism (typically by full immersion) following a credible statement of faith as the only biblically acceptable way to administer the ordinance of baptism as commanded by our Lord in his Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20). This is the view called credobaptism (“believer” baptism), which is held over against the view of paedobaptism (“infant” baptism) that is commonly practiced by Roman Catholics, Eastern Orthodox, Anglicans, Lutherans, Presbyterians, and many continental Reformed churches.
Baptists also generally believe in the autonomy of the local congregation over the more hierarchically structured denominations such as Roman Catholicism (which is based on an episcopal model of church government) and Presbyterianism (which is based on a presbyterian model of church government). Generally speaking, to be Reformed means to have one’s roots in the Protestant Reformation of the 16th and 17th centuries. The Reformers were those who protested against certain abuses within the Roman Catholic Church. It is often said that the Protestant Reformation had both a formal cause and a material cause. The material cause of the Reformation (i.e., the particulars of the dispute) was over what became the doctrine of justification by grace alone, through faith alone in Christ alone. In other words, the debate centered on the question of how a man is made right before God. Rome’s basic answer to that question is that grace, faith, and Christ are all necessary, but they are, in and of themselves, not sufficient. The Reformers argued that grace, faith, and Christ are both necessary and sufficient.
The formal cause of the Reformation was the question of authority. What is the ultimate authority for the Christian in matters of faith and practice? For Rome, the answer is both Scripture and tradition. However, since, according to its dogma, the Roman Catholic Church is the source of both Scripture and tradition, as well as the infallible interpreter of both, the matter of authority essentially boils down to the Catholic Church alone. The Reformers believed that the Scriptures alone were the sole infallible rule for Christian faith and practice; hence the Bible is the ultimate authority in these matters. All other lesser authorities-church councils, synods, and church declarations-are only authoritative insofar as they conform to Scripture.
Inasmuch as Baptists are Protestant, they are Reformed in this general sense. However, there is a more specific sense of the word Reformed, and this is more germane to our discussion. Reformed in the more narrow sense refers to those groups that follow in the theological footsteps of John Calvin-in particular his doctrine of salvation. This is what separates the General Baptists from the Particular Baptists. The General Baptists are so called because they hold to a belief of general atonement-Jesus died to make all men, in a universal sense, savable. Particular Baptists hold to the Calvinistic understanding that Jesus died only for the elect, and He died to actually secure their salvation, i.e., particular atonement. Reformed Baptists flow out of this Particular Baptist stream.
Most Reformed Baptist churches subscribe to the London Baptist Confession of Faith (1689) as their doctrinal standards; the 1689 LBCF is essentially the Westminster Confession of Faith reworded as it pertains to baptism. Some notable Reformed Baptists in history are John Bunyan, William Carey, and Charles Spurgeon. A Reformed Baptist Church directory is available at farese.com/ .

Vjekoslav 2012 - Unfortunately Derek Prince has been found to be a totally unreliable teacher. This comment below with paragraph separations can be found on our video at czcams.com/video/0c2icTjDzQ8/video.html in the comments section underneath the video. CHARLATAN DEREK PRINCE: DEMONS AND CURSES! Pentecostal minister Derek Prince operated in the pseudo ministry of deliverance and demonology during the late 1900's. In his vanity, Prince rejected the use of the term "demon possessed", falsely claiming that it was a mistranslation due to its implication of "ownership". He then proceeded to redefine and water-down "demoniac" to "demonize", a word that is unknown in the scriptures. Demonize comes from Medieval Latin: to be subject to the influence of demons.. from Medieval Latin daemonizāre, equivalent to Late Latin daemon demon + -izāre -ize {1} Having borrowed the spurious general category "demonize" from Medieval Latin, Prince taught that non-Christians, and also the majority of Christians are demonized.
      Lie No 1: A demon cannot "possess” a non-Christian.
Lie No 2: The majority of committed Christians are "demonized" i.e. they can be indwelt by demons.
Lie No 3: Many Christians come under ancestral curses, going back hundreds or even thousands of years.
Derek Prince: "Three different Greek expressions normally used to describe the influence of demons:
      1. To have an unclean/evil spirit. See Matt. 11:18; Mark 7:25; 9:17; Luke 4:33; 8:27; 13:11; John 7:20; 8:48-49, 52; 10:20-21.
      2. To be in an unclean/evil spirit (Modern English-to be under the influence of) See Mark 1:23; 5:2. 3. To be demonized. KJV incorrectly translates to be “possessed with devils.” There is nothing in the Greek to support the word “possessed,” which is completely misleading. See Matt. 4:24; 8:16, 28, 33; 9:32; 12:22; 15:22; Mark 1:32; 5:15, 16, 18; Luke 8:36." {2}
Prince's three classifications above are completely bogus. In particular, the Greek verb δαιμονίζομαι, English demoniac, translates: I am demon-possessed. Definition: I am possessed, am under the power of an evil-spirit or demon.{3} Prince's statement that the Greek does not support "possessed" is completely false. Not only Strong's Greek 1139, but ALL the accepted Greek dictionaries and lexicons define δαιμονίζομαι in exactly the same way:
BAGD “be possessed by a demon”
EDNT, ed. Balz & Schneider, 1:274 “be possessed by a demon”
LSJ “to be possessed by a demon”
      Louw-Nida, 1:147 (§12.41) “to be possessed by a demon”
NIDNTT, ed. Brown, 1:453 “be possessed by a demon”
TDNT, ed. Kittel, 2:19 “To be possessed by a demon”
      UBS Greek Dictionary “to be demon possessed” {4}
      1. To have (ἔχω) a demon as in Matthew 11:18; Mark 7:25; 9:17; Luke 4:33; 8:27; 13:11; John 7:20; 8:48-49, 52; 10:20-21.
      The Greek verb in question is ἔχω = I have, hold, possess {5}
The Jews said to him, “Now we know that you have (ἔχεις) a demon! (John 8:52).
Other examples: And the same John had (εἶχεν) his raiment of camel's hair.. (Matthew 3:4). We have (ἔχομεν) Abraham as our father.. (Matthew 3:9). I have (ἔχω) the keys of Death and Hades. (Revelation 1:18).
      ἐκβάλλω = to expel, to drive, cast or send out. {6} ἐξέρχομαι: to go or come out of . {7}
And someone from the crowd answered him, “Teacher, I brought my son to you, for he has (ἔχοντα) a spirit that makes him mute. And whenever it seizes him, it throws him down, and he foams and grinds his teeth and becomes rigid. So I asked your disciples to cast it out (ἐκβάλωσιν), and they were not able.” And he answered them, “O faithless generation, how long am I to be with you? How long am I to bear with you? Bring him to me.” And they brought the boy to him. And when the spirit saw him, immediately it convulsed the boy, and he fell on the ground and rolled about, foaming at the mouth. And Jesus asked his father, “How long has this been happening to him?” And he said, “From childhood. And it has often cast him into fire and into water, to destroy him. But if you can do anything, have compassion on us and help us.” And Jesus said to him, “‘If you can’! All things are possible for one who believes.” Immediately the father of the child cried out and said, “I believe; help my unbelief!” And when Jesus saw that a crowd came running together, he rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to it, “You mute and deaf spirit, I command you, come out (ἔξελθε) of him and never enter him again.” And after crying out and convulsing him terribly, it came out, and the boy was like a corpse, so that most of them said, “He is dead.” But Jesus took him by the hand and lifted him up, and he arose. And when he had entered the house, his disciples asked him privately, “Why could we not cast it out?” And he said to them, “This kind cannot be driven out by anything but prayer.” Mark 9:17-29).
      2. Mark 1:23; 5:2. "..a man with an unclean spirit."
And immediately there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit. And he cried out, “What have you to do with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are-the Holy One of God.” But Jesus rebuked him, saying, “Be silent, and come out of him (ἔξελθε)!” And the unclean spirit, convulsing him and crying out with a loud voice, came out of him (ἐξῆλθεν). (Mark 1:23-26). ..And no one could bind him anymore, not even with a chain, for he had often been bound with shackles and chains, but he wrenched the chains apart, and he broke the shackles in pieces. No one had the strength to subdue him. Night and day among the tombs and on the mountains he was always crying out and cutting himself with stones. (Mark 5:3-5).
Notably, the demons, not the man responded to Jesus in both cases: “What do You want with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have You come to destroy us?( Mark 1:24) “My name is Legion, for we are many.” (Mark 5:9). 3. ..they brought him all the sick, those afflicted with various diseases and pains, those oppressed by demons (demoniacs), those having seizures, and paralytics, and he healed them. (Matthew 4:24). Other translations have "demon possessed". We are not given specific details in every instance, but the context in all the examples that Prince gives is that of control/possession as in δαιμονίζομαι, demoniac. Further weight is added to the argument against Prince's eisegesis, in that the New Testament gives no example of a Christian having been inhabited by a demon, or having a demon "cast out”. In fact such a thing is an impossibility since Christ has delivered genuine converts to Christianity from the domain of darkness and transferred them to the kingdom of his beloved Son. (Colossians 1:13). Furthermore, true believers are indwelt by the Holy Spirit. (1 John 4:4). A Christian may be tempted, deceived and harassed by a demon/demons from without, but he/she does not need to be “delivered” by some strange occult formula based on spurious translations from the Greek invented by Derek Prince!
