Just about to pull the trigger and get the bundle, but what about the Apps and the Prime(+) membership? Are they required? What is the cost? Do ANY apps take full advantage of the gimbal for free?

Did you attach your DJI mic receiver to the iPhone port, or did you record independently? I was wondering how the gimbal handles the weight of the receiver if attached.

Do you recommend a particular usb c to usb c for the smooth 5s for charging phone from gimbal?
The USB C output of the gimbal is very low. Not suggest to use it for charging.
Can’t wait for your 2023 gimbal phone vid. I need one that can do pro max and case weight without problems.

I have the Smooth4 and found that I cannot use the wide angle lens on my iPhone without seeing the motor. Also, I have to remove the case with from my iPhone 13Pro Max, and at that it barely fits. Is this one any better at addressing either of the above?
Smooth-5S with stronger motor Strength and support Super Wide Angle+Wide Angle+Telephoto.
Thinking of getting this, but I find out tha my SS22 Ultra body maybe too big for Zhiyun Smooth 5S, plus have to move my phone further to connect USB-C to the wireless mics, that would be the big problem with weight shift.
My S22 ultra can be well balanced with the 5S without wireless mics, I think if you want to install it, you can only consider Portrait Mode Installation🤔
I saw a CZcams that shows that the wireless mic will fit.
portrait mode changing is a big draw back in this gimbal.

No, Smooth 5S will not block the camera.

Why does no one mention it wobbles and you need a phone with good Electronic Image Stabilization....
It doesnt mantain the phone still.
I balanced perfectly, tried it with and without the case but nothing.
That doesn’t sound right. I didn’t experience any wobbling.

You probably cant see it because you have Electronic Image stabilziation ON or you just cant turn it off in your Iphone.
This guy is walking arround, but I was standing still and it was still doing these slight movements that should not be there.
The gimbal is not really stable.
It just looks that way because the phones EIS are so good now a days you could stabilize them with a broomstick..
Why are we ok with this?
Lets be accurate here, 24 hour battery life is STANDBY Power Only
It’s 2023 wonder why they can’t make it smaller. These are so big and bulky
Battery is 4x longer lasting than other gimbals
They can; other brands are smaller if you prioritise size over all the other features.
I own a 5S and a DJI Osmo 6. The Osmo seems to be made much better, can be started up within a few seconds plus fixing to a tracking point works almost instantly, whereas the 5s (or the Cami app) first needs to “blink”. Other than that, the basic software seems identical. Battery life, of course, is much better with the 5s - although 6 hours on the Osmo is probably already longer than any phone battery can take anyway. Filmic Pro recommends 5 minutes of filming and then taking a break to prevent overheating. Well…
What’s great about the 5s is that you don’t have any limitations on the axis movement, which is a bit of a dealbreaker on the Osmo 6. I like the rubber cap on the charging port, but the buttons feel much cheaper than on the DJI. I don’t know if this will have long term effect though, the buttons just rattle.
One huge upside: the 5s doesn’t smell as bad as the Osmo. I literally felt nauseous by the smell of my own hands after the first two trial runs with the Osmo. I left it open for 2 weeks, now it gets usable. But then the Osmo case is half the size…
And for everyone interested: after a whole life of Samsung only, I got an iPhone for filming, since Samsung cause nothing but problems and won’t open their API, so you won’t get 60 fps, period, or professional video codec quality. Years ago I inquired at Filmic Pro and they told me the only phones supporting all features were iPhones, due to aforementioned limitations. The difference between an S21 and an iPhone 14 pro max is staggering, especially during operating a gimbal it makes a huge difference. The iPhone just does things without thinking, the S21 lags, also the video lags really bad, though there seems to be a solution to that problem.
