She is doing just fine she is eating very well it’s ok if she is messy because we have this wonderful thing call soap n water it works miracles dad is doing great letting baby learn to feed herself

A lot of babies and very small children learn a lot from the texture of the food with their hands. There's nothing wrong with a baby exploring foods this way.
Liza Mendez it’s called infant led weaning. It teaches the baby to chew before swallowing unlike regular baby food you put it in her mouth and she swallows no chewing needed. This babies tray has a lot of food on it but look at her she’s eating everything with no gagging. We did this with my now one year old granddaughter with a healthy, happy

At this age they are not using utensils but are able self feed and to start using a spoon or fork when needed. My granddaughter is being fed this way although on a plate she eats a good sized meal where if her mom is feeding her something with a spoon she gets fussy she wants to eat herself and to choose what goes in her mouth just like she is.
This has nothing to do with laziness. Educate yourself!!! It's to do with sensory awareness, and it's a perfectly acceptable way for babies to experience foods. They rarely eat this way all the time, but it's fine to try it sometimes. It's actually MORE work for the mom with the prep and clean up. You need to get more knowledgeable before you comment about parents.
