She was doing just fine eating the bananas so it made absolutely no sense whatsoever to add milk to the point where the bananas turned into pure liquid! She should be eating her food not drinking it! My pediatrician always said that it should be like the consistency of applesauce. You can always tell new parents because they agonize and overthink every single aspect of feeding the baby! It's not rocket science, it takes a minute for the baby to get used to the texture and flavor of something new but you just continue to feed them and they get used to it. Believe me when they do not like something they will let you know so as long as they are opening their mouth and accepting what you're feeding them don't worry about every expression or face that the baby makes, that's just because it's something new. I have 4 children and I always started them with cereal and I personally found that once they were ready for the next stage that starting them with vegetables made it so much easier to get them to eat their veggies with no problem. Giving them sweets first makes it more difficult to get them to eat vegetables.
First solid food, shouldn't be banana. It's not just about what's soft, it's about what their digestive system is ready to process. Rice cereal is best for the 'break-in' stage.
Rubbish baby rice is disgusting bland and has no nutritional value. My sister was born six weeks early and was on small amounts of weetabix at six weeks old due to constipation lol

That's a cute video with nice, relaxed parents. Everything being "perfect" isn't important. What's important is that the baby had a happy mealtime that she shred with dad (a little), which is FINE. Good job, you know what will affect her in the long run.
one thing i heard before i start feeding solids is "clean the baby in the end" it's a good advice because the baby won't stop making a mess and you will be very annoying interrupting the feeding to put the towel into the baby's face! it may ruin the feeding time...
@@intothemystic5223 isn't that hilarious?!?! People often don't realize these are years old. One time there was a baby throwing things, dropping things intentionally, he was so ornery!! He would scream if they didn't give him pbj so they were teasing him and he was getting pissy and people were commenting about what a spoiled rotten brat he was! Well the baby in the video would reply and he replied at 14yo and 16yo!! Too funny!! He was very polite and very smart young man. He was on the honor roll and played soccer. Maybe he did turn out spoiled rotten, but you certainly couldn't tell by his demeanor. LBVS
She is adorable and you talk and treat her with calm voices. That, I believe, is really important when they are doing or trying anything new. But I think she was such a good baby because you can tell she wants more to eat, but even though she was frustrated with how slow you were feeding her, she didn't scream or cry. I think she was getting close those.

My pediatrician always had us introduce the fruits last because they're sweet and he said if they eat something sweet first its harder to get them to eat things like peas, green beans, and squash, etc.
Just a suggestion. You could make the food a little thicker and feed a little faster. She was so ready for more with each bite you fed her. And why does she have to look up to the spoon. It should be eye level. You will get the hang of it. Beautiful baby.

And scraping the food off of the spoon onto the roof of her mouth is exactly what NOT to do--you should wait until she opens her mouth, put the spoon all the way inside her mouth then press down with the spoon just slight right in the middle of her tongue and WAIT FOR HER TO CLOSE HER MOUTH, then pull the spoon STRAIGHT OUT

Why does it have to be faster? The baby isn't suffering, and it's also the first time with solid foods. That's the problem with a lot of these videos, the parents feed too fast, then the babies become demanding. It's also not good for their digestion, don't you think?
