Such a crisp and clear rendition with just enough melancholy for me.
Roy had a voice with amazing range and vulnerability for a song like this and Anne has indeed done the song justice with her rendition.

Tears rolled on my face when I heard this cover from Anne. Even after many, many years of an unrequited love on my teenager years. I am pretty sure that most people suffered silently from the same devastated disapointment of an unrequited love in some point of its life. That is why this song will be ethernal. Anne is improving at every recording. The way she initiated "when I saw you last night" is heart breaking. I saw other recordings of this song, but never see a passion so explicit in the interpretation. 10.

Absolutely beautiful rendition of this song...I, too, was cryin'. Your sweet voice was made to sing this arrangement of this classic song!
But, then, there was Roy...in his youth he had incredible range but was almost tentative. When he came back around in the early-mid '80s, his voice had lost a step, but he, himself, seemed more confident. The same songs were more powerfully performed...better, than before. Reminds me of the change in Cher as she went through her career.
I was so sad when we lost Mr Orbison right in the middle of his 'second career'. His guitar sitting in the empty chair during the video of "End of the Line" by the Travelling Wilburys as you hear him singing makes my face leak every time. Thirty four years gone, and I still feel the loss...there was so much more music in him.
The years have also been hard on the Wilburys...only Bob Dylan and Jeff Lynne survive of the original group...George Harrison, Roy Orbison, and Tom Petty having joined that great band in Rock 'n' Roll Heaven...
