Bro, I've got family in that plot of land, I've family with their names on The Wall, my MIA grandfather was brought home after being missing for 30yrs. This song hits me right in the heart and the gut. These are just a few of the reasons I was proud to serve. Again, thank you for your service.
Thank you for your service 🇺🇸
God's Blessings to you and your family!
The soldier who’s picture you saw is wh this song is about he was 19
I also have my uncle's name on the wall. I'm sorry for the loss of your family members. Thank you for their service.
There's no shame in shedding a tear to this song. It's not just the violins, it's also that deep voice he has. It's a great song and I'm not only appreciative for your service, but also glad that you decided to take the time and do this today and share your experience because there are so many that don't wanna talk about it and sometimes it's good to talk about it.
I will sometimes sing this for karaoke. Every time I hear or sing it, my eyes water.
Catharsis is the big word for it. You get all that pent-up emotion released (safely).
My Uncle Bruce, R.I.P., was a person who didn't talk about the war. But one time he talked about what they called hamburger hill, he was there, and one of the few to survive it. He said he hid under dead bodies as they walked through and shot them up to make sure they were dead. He said he was in a trench and turned to his best friend, said something to him, looked back to the front line, turned back to his buddy and his head was gone. Thank you to everyone who has fought for us! GOD bless you all.
I have not met my father my mother found out that he was listed as POW MIA he was shot down my daddy was also military and raised me he must have known so I say that I was born Air Forse blue and will die army tan love both 💙 ❤ thank you for your service sir
I haven't even served yet and I cry about 20 seconds in every time I sing it
And for those who haven't ever seen it, the soldiers of the Old Guard at Arlington don't march on their rounds. They glide; their feet barely touch the ground.
That's the truth. I've been to the Tomb.
My uncle will be laid to rest in Arlington in a few days. He was awarded the purple heart and was a true hero. Thank you for your service
82nd Airborne 325 infantry
Dessert storm combat wounded vet.
Three close friends kia. Memorial day is always a rough one.
Lost 3 sailors my self this week to suicide. Todays rough for me. I wish you best Brother.
Damon, from here at the home of the 82nd and USASOC I send you a thank you for your service, your battles, you and their families are all in my thoughts.
@@torremth My thoughts and prayers to you and the families of those fallen seamen. I lost my BFF to a PTSD battle as a Medic and its a pain that is soul shattering. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you need a non judgmental ear to listen, do not shoulder the hurt alone!
Feel that! Just started going to the VA for some shit that my mind couldn't comprehend at age 19, just a Gulf war 1 vet here, USS NASSAU!
My dad was in desert storm he was a avonic machenic he he lost his best friend so thank you for your service
I've never heard this before either. This rock and roll chick cried with you. Thank you for your service and to everyone who has. ❤🇺🇸❤
Agreed
So did this gramma who lost her favorite uncle in Vietnam
Andrea Deamon I’ve never heard it either! Huge Trace fan. How did I miss this?!
@@suzannepatterson307 you missed it because Trace pulled the single after family members of fallen soldiers complained about the song, why ? doesent make sense, the song was honoring the the soldiers, at the time Trace pulled the single it was in the top 20 of country music charts, it was expected to be a easy number one chart hit, but out of respect for the families of the Fallen Soldiers, Trace pulled the song before it had a chance to reach its full potential. Truly sad, its a vary good song.
@@gerilester947 Seriously! This song is honoring them
"Every time I hear 21 guns, I know they brought another hero home.. To us."
All Gave Some; Some Gave All 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸
I am not a veteran so I have no idea what it's like to serve in the military but I've always been taught that I should always thank a veteran so thank you for your services.
Another good song is Billy Ray Cyrus's Some Gave All. Robert Shulenberger, you reminded me of it.
Big & Rich 4th of November
The closest you could get to it outside of military service is to imagine a Boy Scout troop with extra heavy backpacks hiking for miles in the hot sun and having to make camp quickly eat, sleep and move on while going on a trail through Death Valley!
@@tenhirankei yep. I made Eagle Scout.
But no one was shooting at US then.
My Troop #280 Henderson KY. Always went to summer camp

The Troops from Ft Campbell, KY. And Ft Knox KY came they gave us our own little

Be thankful I was proud to serve but when you kill a person you take all he has and ever will have and that follows you for ever it walks with you ever second and if you believe in religion then your curst to hell for eternity tho shall not kill there is no stipulations to this well at least I will be with my brothers again
Trace sings this from his heart he holds the upmost reverence for our Military and our fallen
Trace Adkins always gives me goosebumps with this song! No matter how many times I listen to it!
My son is in the Army. He is serving in Germany this tour . Thank you for your service!!!! My father was Army Vietnam, grandfather was navy and husband was Marine dessert storm .
I was honored to be a pallbearer at my cousin's funeral several years ago. He was buried with full military honors. The folded flag ceremony, the rifle salute, the playing of TAPS, wow, it brings tears to my eyes even now.
Marine Corps vet. 2 tours in Afghanistan 1 in Iraq. Love all your reactions. Thank you for your service. Semper Fi
STFU. Only POGS and douche bags get online and give their deployment history. You're a little bitch.
John White yet he is the one who served and fought for our country. The one who risked his life for our freedom.
@@Chewie-bs7mv I would say I have more years and more deployments than that POG. When you don't know someone it's best to leave assumption comments to yourself.
@@johnwhite5306 So why don't you take your own advice. Stop assuming. I served 21 yrs. Proudly.
@@shooter4805 I'm not assuming anything. You're a douch bag that gets on social media and talks about your military service you may or not have. What the fuck does you being Marines and two tours have to do with the video...nothing. You're an attention seeker, inflate your own service, I know your type.
Billy you really need to hear “if you’re reading this” by Tim McGraw
That song was co-written by the Warren Brothers who also wrote Red Solo Cup.
Another excellent song.
100% that song makes me cry every freakin time.
That was my uncle ssgt David Harris favorite song
I don't think anybody else could of made this song what it is without Trace Adkins, his voice is like no other, it gives me chills every time!
He made it to Arlington, that is simultaneously the most sad and honored lyric I have every heard. It is sad for his family to loss a son but it must have been a great honor to the son to die for his country. Arlington is the most powerful place I think has ever existed.
Unfortunately, this does not make the impact to those that don’t know what Arlington means. Gets me everything they show the daily Honor for the Missing Soldiers.
It's so sad that there are people that don't know ❤️🇺🇲
@@Michellef1117 I cant believe there are people that dont know what Arlington is or can watch this video and not understand after they watch it.Great Video!!IM with you Michelle, its sad if people dont know what Arlington is and stands for.God Bless to all of our serving men and women in the Military, and all that have given the ultimate sacrifice You will NEVER be forgotten.
I think only Veterans can truly understand what Arlington truly means to us-US Navy Veteran.
Dad is interrred in Dallas Fort Worth...his own Arlington. Rest easy dad
I pray for the people in Arlington. They should teach kids about Arlington in school.
Sad song 😢, but when he sings it's like hearing a voice from heaven
From a old Army dog to another , thanks for sharing , beautiful song and reaction , The Texas Gent
walter dollahon Your service is so appreciated by me. Thank you.
From one Vet to Another, thank you my brother.
We as Vets know what it takes to get into the Garden. The sacrifice that has been made.
This ripped my heart out and stomped all over it! Much love to our military! You didn't have to but you did and I thank you!!!
I've loved this since the day I heard it. I was in the Navy (I was actually in basic on 9/11) so I served with so so many Marines and unfortunately I've lost contact with almost all of them and not knowing their fate has bothered me for many years. A big salute to ALL who gave the ultimate sacrifice!!!
It took social media for me to find my Marines after 20 yrs.

Thank you two for your service, and RIP to those who gave their life for their country. Hope they rest well
Man THIS is a true memorial day song🇺🇲
If a song can bring a smile to your face or a tear to your eyes, then
the writer and singer have done their job to leave a lasting memory in
your soul you will always remember. Great song and video.
Billy, as a Navy vet from VietNam, I do the same thing every time i hear that song and so many others that honor our vets. Be blessed, DT
You should check out the 8th of november by big and rich before you call it a day also thank you for your service billy
This is a song that hits hard for me due to the fact that a man I respect survived that day. We play it for him every 8 of November, by his request.
I agree
I agree. He needs to hear The 8th of November.
@@shannonbrazil6135 Shannon, hug that man for me, so many of my friends/family have served and some fell, that it hits me hard too.
Yes yes yes
Seriously, that was rough! I couldn't stop tearing up while watching that.
Thank you, for your service.
You Tube threw your video my way. The minute I saw, "Veteran reacts to", I didn't need to read any further. Immediately clicked on it and subscribed. Now, I'm going to watch your reaction video.
I am an Air Force veteran as far as songs honoring our fallen soldiers I've always been partial to
GLORY TO THE BRAVE- HAMMERFALL
❤️💙🇺🇸💙❤️
Holy Wow!! Had never heard this song and I’m crying a river.
Peace and Love to all.
Infinite thanks Billy for your service, and the same to all past, present, and future vets.
GOD Bless our Veterans! 🇺🇸 Thank you for your service. 🇺🇸
I am a Navy brat. My dad is a Navy vet. I'm am grateful every day that I can kiss and hug him and tell him I love him everyday.
I've not been in the Service because of my epilepsy but I'm an old Patriot at heart and I want to GIVE THANKS to all that did serve in all branches! I do wonder at times if I would be alive today if I had served but I live today because of GOD and patriots like you that did serve!
Thank you.
Please do Riding With Private Malone David Ball
AMEN
I love that song, it doesn't get the amount of listening to it, that it deserves!
Thom Shepherd wrote that song is stars as Private Malone in Ball's video. Went to High School with Thom we still keep in touch
That song actually makes me smile.
Oh good god please
I cry every time I hear this. Love me some Trace Adkins, his voice is like buttah.
I've never heard this song before, That was amazing !!!
I love Trace Adkins. That deep voice is amazing. But had never heard this song before. Oh my Lord..... Trace you just broke my heart. Thank you for letting us see and feel your reaction. Thank you for serving our country. God Bless You always.
Billy I am so blessed to have found you on CZcams! I am normally not up at this time but going through a small medical problem. I would have never seen you if I wasn’t in pain and up. I am so grateful to find you. Thank you for your service. You are patriot and a great American. God Bless you my brother!
Wow I hope your pain goes away soon! Praying for you! I’m glad you appreciate the videos it’s definitely an honor! I pray God bless you and heals you with the quickness
This is my favorite Trace Adkins song. Semper Fi is good also
Trace Adkins Til The Last Shots Fired. Great song.
My son was KIA on June 22, 2010 in Afghanistan. He earned the right to be buried in Arlington and I thought about laying him to rest there, such an honor. But his brother and wife wanted to be able to go sit and talk to him when we needed to, and one day his unborn son would need to go see his Daddy. We live in Washington state so Arlington is a long ways for us. God bless you and all those that have served and the ones that didn’t make it home. I like your channel, and your mom did a good job raising a good guy.
Ima Marine and I thank you too. Hell of a job soldier 🤙🏼 I’m glad you made it back safely
From one soldier to another, thank you for your service brother.
My brother.... Country music tells stories that every one can relate to.
I had heard this before. It still makes this grandmother cry.
Yep knew this one would be a hard one for you. Thank you for your service and I hope you got some happier songs lined up after this to lift you up because a few of these are really heavy for servicemen.
Thank you for your service. This song always gets to me, I can't think of a better one for memorial day.
Trace Adkins said that they had to restart this song 5 times in the studio because he couldn't sing it straight through without crying.
Thank you for your service and risking all for your family and your country. May God bless you and your loved ones Billy.
I cry every time I hear this song. It's been 3 years since I've watched your reaction to this song, and I still cry. I'm almost 79 years old now! Thank you for your service, Billy!
I've heard this a hundred times, but your reaction brought it home. Big hugs!
Thank you for your service Billy. Another really good one of Trace's is Til The Last Shot's Fired.
Do this one, Billy.
My brother is at Arlington.... this song is a killer for me.....
There is never anything wrong with crying when you feel you need to. I've got tough farmer guys for dad's and uncles, but none of them said it was wrong to cry. And they showed it when I was a kid and a few of my great uncles who made great impacts on them passed. And even less more recently when the youngest of my uncles passed from cancer 2 days after I graduated from college, and then about a year later my grandpa (their dad) passed at 89, after living through WWII and being stationed at Pearl. They never saw it as a bad thing to cry about these things.
Also to you Billy thank you for your service. And God bless.
For you and all who have served, thank you for your service.
This song gets me every ding dang time.
Billy, thank you for your service. You are appreciated. My brother in law was army. Stryker Brigade. He sustained a traumatic head injury in Mosul from an IED. He came home physically, but he wasn’t the same. He ended his life in 2008. I pray he now rests peacefully.
I've never heard this song before. This is a truly powerful song. I can't imagine anyone's heart not being moved after hearing it. Once again, I say thank you to all of our service men and women out there, and to all of you who have served.
Love the song. I always get choked up. From one vet to another, thank you for your service.
USMC 1994-1998
I'm right there with you brother. This old Soldier cried with you!
Thanks for your service.....this song always hits home to me. RIP Gramps....🇺🇸
Thank you for your service,, Billy.
Rest in Peace US Army PFC Chris Hinkle, I miss you everyday brother,😢 you saved my life and lost your own. I strive everyday to be worthy of that. We will see each other again someday on the other side. ❤
GO ARMY! Dad was a 22-year veteran...we lost him in 2016 - I miss him every day.! My nephew is a private in the Army. I finally got to Washington DC and Arlington Cemetary was so humbling, awe-inspiring, and just amazing. The changing of the guard, seeing Robert, Joseph, and John F Kennedy's graves, going through Arlington house, seeing the Mall from Arlington...It was incredible. Thank you to all those who are serving and have served to keep our Nation safe and PROUD!
Thanks you for your service and making this video. I just wrapped up 12 years in the army reserve. If you havent heard about this veteran rapper soldier hard and his group redcon 1 they are all combat veterans.
I cant recommend them enough.
The first time I heard this song, I could not stop the tears. And to this day, from the first note, I can't stop them. Military service runs deep in my family and I have never heard a song that expresses the heart ache of loss and respect for the sacrifice of ones life in such a way.
And thank you for your service.
To you, A Veteran, from a very grateful American who has several family members and friends who have served our country proudly....I want to thank you personally for your service! I am so very thankful for all the men and women who have served and sacrificed for our many freedoms we have in this beautiful, blessed nation we live in. The Land of the Free and the Home of the BRAVE!! AMERICA! GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
This song saids it all! Everyone, please bless our veterans!!! We would not be here without them!!!❤
I am not serving in the American military but I am the Norwegian army in TMBN
Thank you for your service
If no one told you recently TY for your service. ❤
Belinda Marcou thank you for your support
Thanks for your service and for all of our Veterans and active duty!! Love and much respect 💯❤️🇺🇸
My dad is a retired CSM, he fought in Korea, and Vietnam. Silver star with cluster,, bronze star with cluster, three purple heart's. We were blessed that he made it home to us. All of his brothers plus a sister served in the military. I and one of my brothers served also. I have a lot to be proud of. Thank you for YOUR service and for these wonderful reactions, keep doing what you do, and I will keep watching.
I have seen your reaction to this song before but my uncle passed away during covid and he is finally being laid to rest at Arlington and I tripped over your video again and love the patriotic and thank you for your service
Thank you for your service Billy! My brother enlisted mid 90s when I was like 8 or 9 and served 23 years. Multiple deployments overseas and I'm so grateful for what you, him and other like yall have done and are still doing 🙌 💯 I remember growing up hearing songs like "If your reading this" and crying my eyes out thinking of my brother so far away. I do wish our country wasn't so divided now but I know if anything were to happen like 9/11 we would put our differences aside and stand together again. Much love ❤️
I’ve told you before, but thank you for your service, Billy. I’ve never heard this before, either. I loved your reaction.
Billy, there's no shame for shedding tears for all of our fallen brothers and sisters in uniform, regardless of branch of service. I spent an entire day at Arlington Cemetery, walking the grounds, reading names and wanted to know the stories behind each name. I'm a 23 year veteran who proudly served for this country. Between me, my dad, my baby brother, we have 80 years of service...Dad made it through two wars...RIP Dad. When I first heard this song I cried all day. Thank you, Trace Adkins, for such an incredibly beautiful song that resonates in all the hearts of us veterans.
Another solemn salute to our active, retired and yes OUR fallen HEROS in uniform. As a Army brat, I appreciate and covet sacrifices made by those who were not as fortunate to have their loved one....COME HOME.
I just wanted to say thank you for your service Billy. You are one of my favorite reactors.
You should give a listen to More than a name on a wall, by the Statler brothers.
I haven't heard that one in years!!! Great song
I'm right there with you brother. No ones understands this song like the military folks. We served with and lost some of the greatest people we will ever know.
The wail of a violin and the weep of a mandolin, both can touch your soul.
Just found your channel. First off... Thank you for your service. I've heard this song many times and I'm also in tears each time. I appreciate how you're supporting all of our veterans. I wasn't able to serve but, I have several family members who did serve and some that are still active. On their behalf...thank you for what you are doing. You just gained another subscriber. Much love from Arlington TX.
You should listen to "until the last shots fired"
agreed
I found you by pure chance and from one veteran to another thank you for playing Trace Adkins song Arlington. One day my ashes will be there.
Thank you for your service, brother. I am a Navy veteran.
This is a special song, thank you for reviewing it. I had not heard out yet. Definitely a tear jerker.❤🙏❤
You need react and Listen to Trace Adkins with the West Point Glee Club- Till the Last Shots Fired, please
You definitely need to check this one out. Specifically the CMA (or ACM) video where he premiered the song.
My grandfather was an Army medic and was on Fiji in WWII. My dad retired from Army Special Forces. My oldest brother was Army, second oldest brother was Navy, and I was Army MP. Two years ago I chaperoned my daughter's 8th grade trip to Washington DC and got to see her participate in the ceremony of laying a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Arlington. A very proud moment for this mom.
What gets you isn't the music, the voice or even the instruments.
What gets you is the honesty, the heart and the meaning.
If only our country could be reminded of this and come together again.
Thanks for your service. This song makes me cry every time I hear it.
Thank you and all out veterans past and present.
As a retired USAF aircraft mechanic, I salute you for your service. Thank you. I lost several friends during Desert Storm when their aircraft, an AC-130H gunship, was shot down. I've heard this song before, but never saw the video. Wow. All gave some, some gave all. Peace to you my fellow brother in arms.
Thank you for your service.🇺🇸 My father did 42 yrs. Army. Major General ⭐️⭐️ So proud. So thankful 🇺🇸
BillyYouSoCrazy! Semper Fidelis my brother of arms!!!
A great group to react to would be In the Stairwell from America’s Got Talent, it’s a group that is serving for us that sings.
my nephew who i loved as my own son was a ssgt in the marine corp. he lost his life due to an IED in afghanistan. this song just tore my heart out.
the one and only time ive been to arlington was to see my proud marine nephew buried,

Thank you for your service. You are one of the few that answered the call. Myself, Family and the country thank you.
