In the name of not a native speaker one should not sing the song by completely mis spelling the words as the song will become meaning less....
@@vhkiran This mindset will discourage a lot of amazing talent from singing in non-native languages. When seasoned singers like SPB, Hariharan, Shreya Ghoshal etc sing Malayalam songs, it is obvious that their pronunciation is imperfect. And remember this is after ten or twenty takes in the recording studio. Yet their songs are enjoyed throughout Kerala because the importance is given to the musical arrangement and rendition. There is no point in stressing over minor lyrical mistakes especially in live singing as no one can fully grasp the nuances of a language like its native speaker. That is not the point of music. Shri Pradeep has displayed excellent understanding of the Sankarabharanam raga in his singing and SPB himself (RIP) would have been proud of this rendition.

If he sings a song in his native language definetly he could have done better.. im confined only for this particular song which won many hearts and this song is like a jewel. I have been watching SPB sir and other prominent singers programs too and everyone will say pronunciation of words matter because it will change the meaning of the song and spoil the beauty too. SPB, Shreya ghoshal, etc when they sing in other languages they will be highly cautious in understanding the meaning/soul of the song so that they don't do these mistakes... SPB himself many times told how important it is to pronounce the words properly and there instances where he admitted he also did some mistakes during recordings.. and as you said if its a minor lyrical mistakes that's not an issue but if lyrical mistakes are too many then it will become an issue....
