    The SoC duology is based on the Netherlands, mainly Amsterdam (Ketterdam). A lot of names are Dutch (think of people like Jesper and Tante Helen (aunt Helen), as well as Joost and Rutger in the first chapter of SoC. Being Dutch, this duology is incredibly interesting to read! I recognise quite a few things. :)

    • @SharonVictoria90
      @SharonVictoria90 Před 7 lety +4

      Also, I don't know if this is in all the copies, but in my SoC copy (paperback) it said that Ketterdam is heavily inspired by Amsterdam and its history.

      I think the Wandering Isles are based on Ireland, where I'm from. :D Leigh really emphasized the red hair that is common for people from the Wandering Isles, plus Colm Fahey is from there and that's a very very Irish name lol. I loved figuring out what countries all the different lands were based on!

    I think the Shadow Falls series by CC Hunter is perfect to read during the fall because it's a supernatural about all different types of beings like Vampires, Witches, Werewolves, Faeries, shape-shifters, etc and has a lot of mystery embedded in it. That in itself gives me a Halloween vibe, even though these mostly take place during the summer. It's a really fun YA series that I've read like three times already, because they are so good. The characters and the friendship in this story is really was made it for me, which I think is something you would really appreciate.
