    I’ve been researching diy ground mounts and came across this video. I found my solution. Thanks for posting!

    The PVs aren’t going anywhere. Not even a tornado could take them when unistruts are used . My PVs are held together with the unistrut . Great video .

    Really nice job my man! This gives me some great ideas on how I want mine to turn out. I'm wanting a ground mount VERY similar to this!

    Nice job! I'm looking to do something similar both on the ground and on the roof using unistrut myself. Thanks for posting. Clarifies exactly how I need to do things!

    Very nice job, the solar panel mount looks strong & sturdy. I would prefer the panels to be at least a foot or 2 from the ground but obviously this isn't an issue in your case. Thanks for sharing!

    Looks great! I was shocked that Ironridge hardware to mount my DIY solar system worked out to $11,000!!

    Looks like it would be pretty easy to add hinges so you can adjust it with the seasons.

    Man, if those were 2x4 lumber it would have cost like a million bucks these days. Our local metal store sells Uni strut in 20 foot lengths and I think a couple different thicknesses, it’s a pretty darn good deal from them.

    Great idea! Solid, simple and inexpensive.
    One question I don't see the ground for each panel or a grounding rod. Is it running through the unit strut?...

  • @schlepers

    Great job. I was thinking of doing similar but vertical w 320 watt panels. Do you think it would be able to hold 1 panel rows vertical at 90 degree up no slant?

      @carsonlurbanwindandsolar3437  Před 3 lety

      It should work I don't see why it wouldn't if you have to you can extend it out a little further using a flat bracket.

    Nice mount. I like it. How did the panels bolt to the unistrut?

    • @carsonlurbanwindandsolar3437
      @carsonlurbanwindandsolar3437  Před 2 lety +1

      I used the cone nuts that comes with the unit strut to mount the panels. I have a video about it can't remember the name of it but if you look it's like maybe 6 months ago.

    how many feet deep is the concrete hole?

    • @carsonlurbanwindandsolar3437
      @carsonlurbanwindandsolar3437  Před 2 lety +3

      Two and a half to 3 ft deep. Some places where there were a lot of Rock I could only get down about two and a half feet deep.
