Norfolk & Western 611, the only surviving J class locomotive was paired with a freight consist to recreate the final days of Norfolk & Western Steam. By the mid/;ate 1950's the J's had been relegated to lesser passenger trains and freight service, displaced by diesels. Joining the J was N&W M Class #475, masquerading as N&W 382, a regular locomotive on the N&W's Abingdon Branch made famous by O. Winston Link. Despite the dreary weather both locomotives put on a great show, and capped off the day with double-headed runbys. The event was organized by the Strasburg Railroad and Lerro Productions, Enjoy!

Great video. I was hoping to make it out to Strasburg for this but sadly work has kept me away. Just out of curiosity how were the crowds? You seem to have managed to avoid them, did you make an arrangement with a local along the tracks?
