Safety glasses, gloves! lol. Yer killin’ me, sir. :)
I live a little dangerous at times
Oh man this is exactly what i'm looking for. I hope this is all available 3 to 4 years from now. When I can actually afford it.
Thank you for watching!
this is the dopest thing ever! I've seen demo'd and heard in real life.. the idea is genius and the sound is fire!!!
They sound amazing, thank you for watching!
Man O Man, that sounds awesome!
You guys have thought out the whole package and the construction looks professional.
I'm gonna book mark this page so I can get mine with my new bagger.
Thank you. Good job.
Thank you so much!
Wow! I did a full installation on my '21 SGS using Rockford Fosgate/HD equipment with a DSR1. Tuned using microphone and Perfect Tune app but still never sounded great to me. Bass was lacking. All wires correctly installed so I never thought polarity or phase could be an issue. I bought the tester you used after seeing your video out of curiosity and sure enough the front speakers were opposite phase from rear bag speakers. Reversed phase on the fronts with the DSR1 and the difference is AMAZING!!!! The bass now is great and the system sounds so much better! Thank you so much for your video and the great information you provide.
So many times this is the case, I’m glad we could help make your system better!
Wow a really well thought out kit. It really does make a difference if the install is not a battle
It sounded better than I expected and was also easier than I expected on installation too
Amazing video your always keeping it 💯 and don't steer anyone in the wrong way just to sell something thanks for always being amazing human ..
Thank you so much for watching and encouraging! God Bless!
This is just what I'm gone need just a cleaner look and a easy hook up. Thanks for sharing this video.
Thank you for watching
I had been waiting on these for over a year! Im sure Precision Power was sick of me asking
We have been waiting too, worth the wait in my opinion!
That's amazing! Definitely want to add that to my Road Glide!
For sure! 1 or 2, might make a good video too
Very well done how to video. Thank you!
Thank you!
I will these work with my 2020 street Glide special with stretched bags.
Yes they will
Wow wow wow me likes Definitely want to invest in that
Well worth the investment!
This is awesome…
Thank you for watching!
Where do you get the threaded clips? great video sir.
Hello, Jay
I was wondering if someone makes a bass speaker enclosure that mounts outside under the tour pack on a 2014 ultra. It seems like a unused space that could be used for this.
That sounds great I would like to hear it in person. Maybe soon.
It’s hard to get bass when it is not reflecting off a surface
need spare bags to do an easy switch. Thanks Jay.
Lid removal is not needed to take the sub out, only disconnection of the 2 plugs and remove the latch screws, 8 t20 screws and then the subwoofer lifts out
Jay, will these fit the special model stretched bags? not aftermarket, but the Harley slightly stretched bags...
Hopefully someday ppi and soundstream will make products for indian Challenger/Pursuit and Chieftain. I know tight now the market isnt fully there yet.
There will always be future products🤞🏻
Would love to see you get into doing systems for us Indian bagger owners
There just is not much equipment designed for Indian to showcase
Where can you get the locking bag bolts? Great video. Ordered mine yesterday!
We have them at Volunteer Audio under security on our website
Call me a purist, but nothing NOTHING beats the sound of a pure highly tuned V-twin with the right cam and header pipe!
You can turn the music down when you want to hear the motor, thank you for watching!
Sounds awsome!. But it's also not going down the road at 55 to 80 mph!. So what do you suggest for my new 2022 Tri-Glide ultra with a big rear trunk, Can I install a 15" Sub Woofer and amp? Or 10s or 12"s in a removable box like some cars have?.
We have several all in one enclosures that would do well in a triglide trunk, it all depends on how much room you want to use but we do decide which sub at time of install with the customer present because we currently do not offer a plug in play sub for triglide
Looks good. Talk to me about the wire rack next to your tool box. Where did you get it?
Built it using metra raptor slat wall spool holders
Need to make one for the Lowrider ST that’s compatible with the very bass lacking Rockford Fosgate system.
We will see what the future holds, we hope to have some great products for the low rider st eventually
i have big bass taste with beats by dr dre money. great content though always great content.
Thanks for watching
Great video !
Thank you!
Hey Jay I didn't see the link for youtube plarity test video. Thanks
Sorry, I added a comment with it and pinned it to the top
The system you have on that bike is awesome. How much is that system cost out the door?
Call our sales team at 1-844-30AUDIO for pricing and to go over specific options for your bike
Awsome Video. Quick question though. how would you compare these drop in woofer solution compared to the 2x10 Audison APS10D woofer install that you did for Tony's 2009 Street Glide? which one sounds better?
The 10” play lower but volume is very close, we did 2 hertz millipro 10” with 1000 watts and they were awesome but much more expensive
Who makes a fairing speaker enclosure for an 09-13 E-Glide like the 14-up bikes have? Definitely looking into a pair of these for my saddle bags, but I need to improve the response on my fairing speakers with some sort of acoustic enclosure.
Problem with those enclosures is there is no room left for a decent amp, you can use soundskins in the fairing and still have space
What is your expected eta on kit to get deeper 6x9s with these subs? I don't want to give up my hertz sx-690s. Thanks for all your work and info to help people.
A few weeks
Thank you
Definitely keep us posted when something comes in that works with the Hertz 6x9s. I just recently finished my full install on my 18 CVO SG with the Stage 6 speaker system package with the HDHU.14Si and the Hertz SP 4.900 and it sounds great but if I could easily add in drop in subs like this I would do it!!!
@@ChrisS-ii2bldid you purchase sub. I have same system as yours. Now I’m thinking about sub
What if you have extended bags.
Anything in the works for the low rider ST to go with the Rockford Fosgate faring set up?
Not that I’m aware of
Hey Jay. Think it will fit with my Infinity Kappa Perfect 6x9's in my bag lids?
Not yet, I’m working on an adapter to make the needed clearance
So this kit can be connected it to the GTS boom box and if I’m interested only and adding one which side I need to get in order to get all the harness and connectors
Yes it works with stock radio and comes with all needed harnessing
How well does this integrate with Rockford Harley stage 2 fairing and saddlebag speakers on a 22 Street Glide Special ?
I’ve been considering pulling the trigger on HD Rockford drop in sub, but this seems like it would pack more punch
I think these sound better than what Rockford offers and would integrate if you have a Rockford fosgate system, it does not work with hd audio by Rockford.
Hi love that videos!! I was waiting to learn how much this unit cost? But I don’t recall if u mentioned the price point
We are only allowed to post pricing on our website due to dealer agreements with precision power, here is a link to them volunteeraudio.com/product-category/motorcycles/motorcycle-drop-in-subwoofers
Jay thank you for responding quickly. Have a blessed day
If you have any stage kit do you need any more amps to push the sub boxes ? Or are the amps in each box good enough ?
The sub has a built in amplifier and is more than enough
what wire racks are those i like them nice and tucked slim to the wall
They are made by metra, raptor series slatwall spool holders
Will they work with the HD rockford system with the amp mounted in the saddle bags?
I do not think it will clear the amps or connectors
Looks pretty simple , quick question though what if you have stretched bags?
They fit stretched bags also
@@volunteeraudio I was wondering the same thing. I wonder about the hole drilling with the tapered CVO style bags.
@@mfennroberts start at the front of extended bags
How do we change phase if we’re using stock deck? I see you changed it with the new sound stream stereo, but I’m using stock
We swap polarity on the other speakers, fairing, lids and so on
Lol! Stereos on Harleys. Definitely hey, look at me stuff! Look at me and now hear me as well. Some of the best, clearest most crisp and deep music I've heard are the high end music systems built for helmets. Nothing beats them. I'm satisfied with the sound of my bike. Of course I'm old school. I ride these bikes when they were statements and not fashion. Anyway, enjoy whatever y'all see others enjoying.
It’s great to be seen and heard on a Harley, it will get people to look up from their phone and hopefully not run over you too
@@volunteeraudio Valid point. I digress. Keep on keeping on brother.
Thanks for video. Do you have master in Miami?
We are in Tennessee
Looking at the box it shows that there are two actual speakers. But on your guys website, it says it has a passive radiator so it is one a speaker and the other is a passive radiator?
That info is incorrect, both are active woofers now, that was prerelease info and later revisions added a second active woofer for more bass! We will update that, thank you
Is there a way to purchase those hydrophobic textile bushing’s separately? I have my 4 amps in my tour pak and those might be a good way to vent the heat out…
Not yet, working on it
@@volunteeraudio please keep me posted

Since you guys are working on a way to get bigger 6x9 speakers with these sub enclosures. Any plan to do the same with the Rockford removable subwoofer enclosures? I would prefer there subwoofer enclose since don't have to remove and install latches to install or remove there subs. But I have the same problem with the precision power cut kit and running hertz sx-690s. I'm told only the tiny Rockford 5x7 and tiny Rockford 6x9s work with there subwoofer enclosure. I would like to keep my hertz speakers as they are awesome and sound great.
These sound much better than the Rockford subs, we do not sell or plan to sell a sub that costs more and does not sound as good
@@volunteeraudio OK. Thanks.
i have a 2010 elctra glide with streched bags will there be a patten to drill the holes for them or is that only for stock bags ?
The pattern fits stock bags
I have the Sony ax-7000. Will your sub work? The Sony has a separate bass volume
Yes it would connect to the rca subwoofer output on the radio like we show in the video
Would you recommend hertz fairing speakers over precision power? What’s the absolute best sounding 6x9 also? Thanks
Give us a call and we can go over the differences, 1-844-30AUDIO
Hey Jay, have you ran in to any problems with the HD14SBWL power light staying on, and when you rermove all power and fuse and reinstall everything it doesn’t work anymore??
@@rizzakarizzer5659 no I have not
Whats the likely hood of front speakers being wrong on a 2023 road glide st ?
We always test using a polarity tester
Is it true that you can not hear the bass while riding because of the low frequency and the sound is behind you. And this goes for lid mount speakers as well?
You can for sure here lid mounted speakers when they are correctly installed using lid cut in kits that angle the speakers forward and the amp is properly set so rears are slightly louder than fronts, subwoofer bass will diminish as you get faster because it reflects off the ground but you still retain the feeling of the bass and can tell if you turn it off
How does these compare to the Rockford Fosgate subwoofers kit
Much louder and easier to install.
If I have the Rockford stage 3, will this work to complete my stage 5?
Not sure what stage 3 you have, if you amp is in your fairing it may fit depending on depth of your lid speakers
Sooooo, you have to take the lid and all associated hardware of to remove and install?
Lid does not have to come off for removal, only for installation so you can drill the holes in the bottom, you do need to unplug the enclosure and remove the 2 latches, 8 t25 screws to remove or install the enclosure
Will this integrate with a rockford fosgate 4 speaker system that is already installed ?
If you have the Rockford lid speakers you will need our deep version to clear the 6x9. If you have hd audio by Rockford with an amplifier in the bag these will not clear the amplifier
cool but dos it fit the stretched bag`s
Yes it does
hello I purchased your stage 4 hertz system from you and installed it , I feel that its lacking power and has zero mid bass or any type of bass at all could this be a polarity issue as well? and if it is how do I correct it after I test the speakers the stereo is stock 2022 road glide special
Yes it sounds like a polarity issue, once you find what speaker is reversed you swap the speaker wires on that speaker. You can also call our tech team at 1-844-30AUDIO for assistance. Which amp did you chose, for sure I’ve never thought the sp4.900 lacks for power
What about extended bags?? I just put my hertz neo's in bags dang it
Yes they fit extended bags too
What will be the right volume on a stock radio GTS boom box 21str to run this test
Polarity test? The correct volume will get you a change in led color, if it’s all red or all green you have the volume too loud
Does these subs work with the harley stretch bags that come on the street glide special?
Yes
Do these fit on the older style saddlebags I have a 2010
Yes we offer a 1998-2013 version too
I'm looking for a subwoofer for a harley-davidson roadglide 3 trike...do u make that ?
This would be custom, there is nothing specific for an rg3 yet
My buddy had a big subwoofer in his bag. It sounded amazing when the bike was sitting still or riding very slowly, but once he got up above about 20 mph, he couldn't hear the bass from the subwoofer. Can these be heard while riding 20+ mph or are they more for while the bike is sitting?
All Subwoofers create bass that needs to reflect off of something for you to hear them, these are ported out the bottom of the bag and reflect off the ground, the faster you go the more you outrun that reflection. You can feel the vibration at higher speeds but sound is cut way back.
@@volunteeraudio that makes sense. My buddy's woofer was ported on the inside of the bag, aimed at the rear wheel. I could see how being ported toward the ground would give a much better result. Thanks for the quick answer!
My 2015 SG didn't have ABS and there was all kinds of room for activities. lol
For sure, thanks for watching!
Will this fit in the new 2024 CVo bags?
No they will not
Will this work on stretched bags?
Yes
Jay do you have a cut out kit for stretched saddle bags?
These fit stretched bags, I use the same template but a I cut it so I can use half on the lower portion and half up higher, you use 14 holes instead of 15
@@volunteeraudio Oh ok okay thank you for the info.
Shit,I might never get rid of my 2013 Street Glide you keep this shit up, I got everything on it except the subs
Lol, thank you!
Have a sub kit for 2010 CVO Ultra classic?
It won’t clear the harnessing in the cvo models
Forgive me if you've already answered this, but is it worth doing only 1 side, or should both bags have these. I'm looking for quality and fullness of music, not a show system. Thanks for your time.
One sounds so good you will want 2
Do these work with the factory stretched bags ?
They do, we are no longer selling these, a few new versions will be available soon
Can you add one of these to a stock 2019 CVO road glide with boom audio 2?
The boom 2 amplifiers and harness plugs would interfere, may be able to do the brake side bag if you have the 4 speaker boom 2 system
@@volunteeraudio what if the amps were removed in like my 18 CVO SG and just the harness plug that feeds the power lid locks and Herts 6x9s with your adapter cable??
Now with all these holes, do you lose structural integrity in the bottom of the bag? It looks like it would make the bag extremely weak
Bag still feels really solid, once you install each bushing it’s very solid
The bags are only supposed to hold 25lbs or something, I don't think it would make that big of a structural issue unless someone hits your bag in an accident
You make subs for the 2024 model with the stage 3 rockford fosgate bag speakers?
Nobody does yet
@@volunteeraudio wack
hi Ryan will these fit with cvo amp in the bags
No they will not
What would be better. Your 4 hertz 6x9 lid kit or this kit?
6x9’s play midbass, this plays sub bass, very different but if bass is what you are after the subwoofers will have more bass
I would go with the 6x9s in lids or 1 6x9 or 6.5 in lid, and 8s in the bags. More volume output and saves bag space. I suppose it depends on how much riding you do, and if you use your bags.
Can't go wrong though with a full Hertz system either.
Will this work with boom audio?
If you have amplifiers in the bag these would not fit
OKJ let's talk price purchase price and install price.
Give us a call , 1-844-30AUDIO
Bro they are expensive but for a very good reason the quality is great!!
Does this work with extended saddlebags ?????????
Yes it does
I have installed this sub connected to the Hertz S8. Everytime I turn the ignition of the sub does a loud pop. How can I fix it?
The subwoofer amp turn on wire needs to be controlled by the s8dsp amp turn on
@volunteeraudio I tried the amp turn off delay up to 8sec. But nothing changed. Still turn off pop
So will these work and a stretched cvio bag and using that 6 by 9 speasir that you have in the bike still will not work if it's for a 5 by 7 lid using the adapter kit that you sell
Correct it will not work on cvo lids using adapters to fit 6x9’s, only works with 5x7’s in that instance, cvo amp wiring, amps and plugs in the bag will also interfere
@@volunteeraudio the bags are empty nothing is in them
@@bigjohnq1 them they will fit your bags
@@volunteeraudio any plan for these to be made to fit the CVO bags if the amps are out and only the harness is in. I have the Hertz S.P 900 amp and the Hertz 6x9s with the adapter kit in my bag lids.
It would be great if you did some stuff for other bikes not just Harley.
Most manufacturers make audio for Harley because it is the largest audio market for motorcycles, as they make audio for other motorcycles we will show it also
Will this only work with high end components? Now don’t beat me up too much but I’m running the Rockford Fosgate from Harley Davidson. I know there’s better systems out there but this what I have. Tia….
It will work as long as you do not have an amplifier in the bag, it will not clear the amp or wiring connections on the hd audio by Rockford setup, if you bought your Rockford kit from a Rockford fosgate dealer it will fit if you have 5x7” speakers but will kit clear the Rockford 6x9’s

Hey Jay I’ve just purchased and installed the precision power sub and upon doing a phase check being that I have a stage 6 setup one side is ok but the other isn’t it’s out of phase. Did some wire swapping because I have the horrible boom stereo and now my subs are out of phase 😢. I heard you mention in the video about swapping the input signals to the sub I need a little help with that one brother. Also for some reason with the sub I’m getting turn on pop from the subs, I’ve swapped with accessory ports because my hertz hm4d is using one so I tried the other two and still get the turn on pop from the subs😢 and lastly how do you have the sub set ? Is the input switch supposed to be set on low or high? I thought it might have been set up prior to shipment but on high I have no bass but on low I’m afraid of damaging them if that the wrong setting could you post some insight or do a video on these issues. On initial hook up and test it sounded awesome by following your video guide but I’m either overthinking this or terrified of damaging this $$$$$ investment. Thanks brother
Give us a call at 1-844-30AUDIO
I have not seen one side out of phase compared to the other, I would retest at a different volume holding the tester below the bag, they share the same input signal. If you using the stock radio and it has been flashed to the 6 speaker 2 amp flash we recommend the switch will be set to low and gain set to roughly 10:00
@@volunteeraudio thank you for responding so quickly. This is what I’ve figured out in regards to the sub settings and phase issues I just went back to bare basics and disconnected all the speakers and phase tested the one by one to isolate the problem speakers it was difficult for me to isolate them all hooked up. (I had to dumb it down for myself lol, ) so that issue is resolved I also reviewed your video and saw the clip where you were making the final tidy up process and saw where you had the gains and input selector set at on the sub box and copied that and adjusted according to taste so I was in the ballpark on the gains and setting by watching the video again. NOW I’M STILL HAVING THE TURN ON THUMP WHEN FIRING UP THE RADIO, since I’m going to do some wire management I’m going to trace all preexisting connections and try to isolate if it have something giving off signal interference. I have noticed my LED front lighting once it cycles through the flash sequence from the alarm system setting itself after turning off the ignition I get two additional thumps. I try to perform install checks and isolate items I think might be causing an issue (just had to walk away from it for a while and come back) if I cannot isolate the source of the thump I will definitely reach out. Oh and yes the radio was flashed using the recommended 6 speaker 2 amp Harley flash you recommended when I made my initial purchase of the hertz HMP 4D amp. One caveat to this issue, I initially had this issue with the HMD4D at first with the additional turn on wire and the posi tap connector recommended from the hertz 600watt amp install video IM WONDERING NOW SHOULD I HOOK THAT TURN ON AMP WIRE BACK INTO THE POSI TAP CONNECTION TO HELP WITH THE SUB THUMPING? But thanks again brother so far the system sounds wonderful simply wonderful and again thank you for the response and outstanding customer service glad I found your business thanks to traveling tall.
@@volunteeraudio diagnostic update, I have isolated the cause of the sub thump upon powering up and powering down. On the factory type harness supplied with the precision power sub there is a blue turn on wire connector. What I have figured out is that since I have that harness connected to the factory head unit then the factory type wiring harness supplied with the hertz hmpd4 amp setup daisy chained together then both daisy chained to the FACTORY original wiring harness, there is already a amp turn on signal for both hmp4d and precision power sub via the daisy chain. So I simply disconnected the sub amp turn on connection and no more turn on thump and very minimal turn off thump when switching off the ignition. Once again thank you your assistance and response. THANK GOD for people like volunteer audio who really look out for their customers and provide them with means to do installs with the aide if video and correspondence support. I plan on spending more money with the final piece to my audio setup with volunteer audio thanks team Jay! And a special shoutout to Mrs. Samantha for responding quickly and providing outstanding customer support

They make "freeze plugs" for the automotive world that are almost exactly like those plugs your putting in the bottom of those boxes.
Freeze out plugs are designed to blow out if the engine antifreeze freezes. They are solid brass, metal or rubber and do not have a membrane to allow sound or air to escape. I think you are mistaken. The plugs in the video have a specific purpose and the only other time I have seen this membrane used is on intakes for Polaris off road vehicles
@@volunteeraudio Actually my friend, they are casting holes that get the sand out of a cast block. Then the holes need to be plugged. Hence the casting plug. They became known as freeze plugs because they were generally the weakest point. The holes were usually in a coolant passage although there are some for oil passages as well. Point being they were never designed to be freeze plugs. The name just came around from people seeing that the casting plug was pushed out due to freezing water. When the casting plug failed to give up the ghost it sometimes resulted in a cracked block. Anyway, I enjoyed the video. Good production quality. Thanks for posting and stay blessed.
Yep, I agree. No membranes in "freeze plugs". I was thinking if the purpose was to keep water out. Silly of me now I think about it. If the point was to keep water out why drill the holes in the box in the first place right? I'll certainly have to watch and LISTEN to the video again. At this point I'm assuming the membranes are acting like a baffle of sorts moving in and out with the base. I'll watch the video again. I'll try it sober this time 🤪👍
