That 7up commercial is in a mild high club music video!! Brought me out of a crazy mushroom trip once 🥲

Space Angel!!! I so remember that. Same people who made Clutch Cargo. Cambria Productions and Clark Haas using Synchro-Vox Technology. Cool stuff in it's day!

It looks horrible. Talk about cheap: cut corners, and then keep on cutting.

Despite how low-budget SPACE ANGEL was, I loved it as a kid. Thanks for including these episodes.

Those animations must have taken 10 minutes to produce!

Those real mouths was the same technique used in Clutch Cargo too which was the only cartoon I ever saw using it as a kid. Even back then I thought it looked cheaply done. 🤐

I love the way the numbers on their helmets kept switching back and forth - continuity apparently wasn't high on their list of important things to tend to. ;-)

Steve Danzig, 26, of Bloomington, Ind., calls his Official Skylab Survival Kit, “a spoof of the Skylab absurdity.” Mr. Danzig estimates that about 5,000 of the kits - which contain a fallout helmet, Chicken Little button, Skylab bumper sticker and iron‐on shirt sticker - have been sold in the past two weeks. The $5.50 kit, according to the spokesman, Steve Jennette, 26, is “selling especially well at shops around the Pentagon and in New York.”
I bought one of Steve’s kits as a freshman at IU. Wish I still had it:(

24:25 Ah yes, those cost compromises that have characterized the Space Shuttle program. As it was to turn out, those compromises would kill 14 people.

18:50 - So in 1976 we were going in the right direction with our future attempts at space exploration and here, now, in 2023 we have reversed and gone back to damn, rockets again. At this rate it will take another millennium if not more, to see the vision of Star Trek realized.

But... what happened to Space Angel and his friends?? 😀
I'm old enough to sort of remember the commotion and pearl clutching surrounding the Skylab reentry. More significantly though, I remember watching Enterprise's first drop test landing at our neighbor's house. All us kids crowded around the TV and were so excited watching it touch down! I have to admit that excitement carried through the entire Shuttle program, which of course made the Challenger disaster sting that much more.
