    The coal falling off gigantamax coalossal could also be a reference to a massive landslide made almost entirely of coal in a small town in Wales after the coal storage at the hill, where the coal mine was, got waterlogged. The coal storage had way more coal than the current law limited it to. The landslide hit the school that was next to the hill got hit first and many people got buried alive.

      After the aberfan incident towns in Wales became extremely concerned with the stability of coal tips.
      My grandad was actually the head of the local council before he died and he got the community to plant trees around the local coal tip and cover it in soil to stabalise it. So if any of you are wondering, this will hopefully never happen again (considering this was a common solution in other towns as well).

And that's really just the tale of domestication, although to a lesser extent since some cats still have those instincts

    • @jasonstimecapsule77
      @jasonstimecapsule77 Před 4 lety +6

      To be fair, the evolutions don't actually lose the orange eye trait though, Carkoal and Coalossal both still turn their eyes red when they're attacking (look at the motions in the Pokedex), my theory is that since Rolycoly's eye is so close to its heat source due to its small size, the fire in it is always able to reach it. As for Carkoal and Coalossal, the occurence may only happen when they're enraged and the flame inside burns even stronger that it was when they were calm and then reaching their eyes.
      So maybe when Rolycoly's life ends, it's eye actually loses that glow, just a thought.

    Honestly, my only problem with Coalossal's design is that is yet another golem, like Rhydon, Golem and Gigalith. I still like it a lot, but it kinda takes away the uniqueness from the pre-evos.

    • @LuckyOwI777
      @LuckyOwI777 Před 4 lety +6

      Rhydon is just a generic dino/reptile like creature. Golem is a literally turtle like creature made of rocks, that can turn into a ball and roll around, and has a regional variant with a cannon on it's back and a mustache. Gigalith is a 4 legged monster with glowing orange crystals of power perturbing from every angle of it's body.
      Tell me how Coalossal, a giant Kaiju-Like monster, made out of literal coal, and also running on coal, with so much history and lore behind it, takes away any uniqueness from previous Pokemon?

      Honestly, a train with eye and a mouth would have looked pretty dumb, imo. Going with a giant Kalju-Like coal powered monster seems a lots cooler than a personified train
      EDIT: Also, look at Aggron and Coalossal side by side, and tell me that they look like each other. One is a steel armored, horned best monster thing, while they other is a Kaiju literally made of, and running on coal.
