- Testing the pre ported G4 motorized bike cylinder from California Motorbikes.
How does it stack up to my own port work?

8:30 in the video I hope no one ever goes through what I have been through the last 4 months. I finally crashed my bike after 5 years of riding a motorized bicycle. It was because of me losing sight of the fun of just riding and just chasing power. I got my first ride to the hospital in an ambulance and got my first surgery 2 months later. The most intense pain of my life period. 3 fractures and 3 torn tendons will do that. I will be in recovery for a while. It did a massive power wheelie 98.5cc shift kit bike and bucked me off landing on my left knee. Please be careful anyone reading this lol don't be like me😅
Did something similar with my first phantom85. Nothing as bad as what you are going through. I hope you fully heal up, and will be able to enjoy some safe/relaxing rides again.
Best wishes!
Hope this incident doesn’t deter you from this hobby lol. Get well soon and praying for a speedy recovery
Should have been wearing riding gear
Where did u get the engine from the one that bucked u off it
@joneserupinsmoke9161 Its a custom one off build i made. I started with a cdh 110cc case and Cylinder. (They suck right out of the box but have the most potential out of any cast china case) Put a 40mm crankshaft in it. Purchase a bigger 4 stroke sleeve that I modified to match the ports of the original Cylinder without the intake port and had it sent out to be machined bored and honed out to 56mm. Designed it to work with a 56mm chainsaw piston and used a custom smolik performance billet head and turned it into a true case reed intake engine. I did a custom intake 22mm carb and modified a mz65 pipe.
You do good work. My building days are about over. My Arms are weak. Ebikes are my mode of transportation now. Still ride my 4 stroke Schwinn. Be 68 his month.
68......Getting old isn't for wimps, that's for sure.
God bless you guys.
Small 2 bangers are a bug of their own! Once you catch it you can't shake it!
Amen!
I'm 63, and AMEN!!!!!
Thanks again for your time and work
I'd love to see a V-twin kit for bicycles at some point, just for fun.
The bad thing about air cooled V-twins is the rear cylinder always wears out faster than the front. Which is why Ducati made a L- twin engine years ago so both cylinders get airflow.
@@michaelbrinks8089 Good point.
@michaelbrinks8089 These engines are so small, I wonder if they could/should make one where the V is turned frontways (side by side), so that both relieve equal airflow!?
@@marcusprince3999 That'd be cool & help with cooling. The Honda CX? CV? 500 is a V twin mounted like that.
Although on these bikes, a parallel twin would be easier to mount the chain. A couple guys put 2 of these engines together & made parallel twin. But it's a lot of extra weight. Using a bigger single cylinder. Would probably be best to save weight. But the engine case can't fit like a large 60mm mm piston into it. A parallel twin go kart engine made out of 2 YD100 engines (50mm pistons ) would be pretty cool & fast. In a lightweight go kart
Very cool, I have same questions that lead you to get this cylinder just cause I’m curious myself how my work stacks up too. Nice vid, thanks for post.
Very cool review. My favorite company 5-6 years now, every one I build sells in a week and it’s been a couple dozen now.
Thanks for ANOTHER GREAT video 😁
Just went on 1st ride of the summer with a $100 old kit I had laying ard and man going to that from the phantom what a big difference lol
GRET to see a two stroke video once again...
I started to lose hope...!!!!
i have 3 california wildcat motors they are dependable many many miles on them they take a beating but i like em. cheers
Thanks for the informative video 😊
I haven't seen one of your vids, in a little bit. Does it feel much better having a little bit of suspension (as apposed to the Cranbrook forks)!? Also, I've heard big complaints about the clutch levers from the CMB kits? Would it be easy to swap the clutch lever out for a better/pin style one?
Bro it's a beauty I'm working on mine now 🙂🕊️
How do these bikes do up hills? I live in a mountainus area, and im wondering if they are any use to me
In this video I seen I guess an excerpt of an older video which I've been looking for where you had the sandpaper on the glass table and was fixing the squish Gap issue you were having with that cylinder and head what video was that I can't seem to find it I have a brand-new zeta Firestorm 80 that I've had for months and the only thing holding me up is figuring out what grit sandpaper do I need to use to get to squish Gap right if you can help me out with that information it will be greatly appreciated and by the way I love your channel man I've learned so much from watching your channel over the last two years I was thinking about taking it to a machine shop but don't really want to have to pay that cost which is going to be probably 50 bucks or better
Excellent vid bud. I like how you compared your port work to the "pros" port work.
What made you choose a Maxxis Hookworm on the front with a Serfas Drifter in the back? Was it tire clearance or grip vs durability?
I can see the Maxxis Hookworm fills the front fork to the max, and no bigger tire can fit. Did you choose a Serfas Drifter out back because the Hookworm at 2.5" didn't fit the rear (my Hookworms are bigger than 26"x2.5" with a wide rim), or was it the tires you had available and chose the one with better grip up front?
If the latter, good choice. I think the Maxxis Hookworm is the best track bicycle tire for a motorized bike. Just so you know, they make em skinnier and in smaller tire sizes. The 24" Hookworm is a lil over 25" inflated on a 50mm rim, nearly a normal 26"x2.125" inflated height.
The Drifter was recommended to me by a few builders. The hookworm tire was giving me some chain rub in the rear.
Cool bike man , love your videos ❤
Nice video... thanks for the info...IV actually looked at those before....are you going to be running the new BT 100V2 engine that just came out with the reed valve set in the cylinder like the minerelli
The pics of the BT100 V2 looked like an iron sleeve ? I dunno 🤔 $312 seems kinda steep for what you're getting. If you already have a bolt on expansion pipe & decent carb on a $130 properly ported 49mm. It'll be faster than stock $312 50mm BT100 V2. You'd have to weld up a custom pipe, port and add better carb for it to make more power than 49mm. More than double the price to get only 1mm more of displacement power.
Not sure, they gave it some nice looking upgrades, but are still using the proprietary exhaust port.
I'm also using the same cylinder from California motor bikes. Im on a 40mm stroke bottom end also. So rtv the base and head? I was wondering about this. I'm going to give this a try. Thanks for the awesome videos man!
Just be sure to check your squish gap and plug clearance if you do.
Hey hover can you do a video on running only one piston ring and what you think about it and also have you ever gotten a cylinder off Amazon that you just can’t use it’s garbage
i recently purchased the zeda firestorm 80 kit but i don't really know what frame to put it on I'm a big guy 6''4 240lbs,and I honestly like the frame in this video do you mind telling me where its from. this one looks like it'll hold me lol. I'm a first time builder but I'm looking to get into the hobby and looking forward to upgrading
This one is the F-Zero from bike berry.
I have slowly upgraded it over the past two years.
Forks, brakes, bars, seat, chain ring, rear sprocket, wheels...
I probably would have been better off just getting the CDH Power frame and building it from the ground up... BUT, it was easier for me to replace one part at a time.

Once again, how are the wheel sets holding up? What about the other performance/upgrade parts you've used on this bike? Has anything actually failed?
I'm having some issues with the aluminum spacer inside the rear wheel. The metal seems to be too soft, causing the inner bearing races to chew up the bearings when the wheel is bolted on the bike.
I will be replacing it with a steel spacer.
@@LAHover THIS reply, this is why I am a subscriber to your channel. Practical real world knowledge about REAL upgrades. Thank you!
@LAHover I put washers on before the spacer and on both sides of my dropouts.
Been meaning to ask you but kept forgetting. What kind of mirror is that? I noticed it doesn't vibrate very much as mine does.
This set here, good quality for the price.
Left side on top, or right side on the bottom left... Or one on each side, all up to you.

Have you seen the new Zeda max 100 and are you going to buy one
I've got a question bro, I've got a yd100 build and it ran flawlessly but recently it just bogs even when fully warmed up, is it clogged jets or a different issue?
Vacuum leak on intake while run spray cleaner or anything from a spray can at intake should find leak
Hey I’m looking at the eBay kits and just wondering is it a clutch handle? Like a manually operated clutch? Also, are those eBay kits reliable?
Also is there any way to add a gearbox?😮💨
Need help with my f zero n having trouble lining up the chain
Hey there, Ive been following you for a number of years back when I was flying drones all the time. Im homeschooling my young kids ages 8 and 11 and was thinking of refurbishing a moto bike as a sort of small engine repair class this coming year. However looking at your viedos, maybe it might be more interesting and knowledgeable to build a bike like yours so we can all learn together how motors work. Do you have any suggestions on where to start looking for a project or any other you tube videos that might follow a build from start to finish?
Kevin's shop 💯
Can you test running some cheap cilinder on motor oil or vegteble oil
As fast as you are going, fill the lane. Do not ride the side like a bicycle, people will treat you like one. All the debris is in the bicycle lane too, why would you want to ride in that? You go fast enough to take a lane. Ride near the center stripe at all times. You can take the lane, own it.
Would a tomos exhaust make it quiet? If I welded a new adapter
Would it stall more?
Reddit is useless
Do you have to use the read valve with the third transfer
Yes, the 3rd transfer intercepts the intake pathway. A reed is required to keep pressure inside the crankcase on the down stroke.
Love the content man keep up the amazing work. I'm also from Louisiana we should meet up and go on a ride if u like.

What is a good off road frame/bike. for a morterized bike
I have never found one that is strong and easy to build on. The Schwinn Taff is fun, but it's a tight build.
A fat tire bike might be the way to go if you use a jack-shaft.
What did you put it on ? A pk80 bottom end ?
This one, has a 40mm stroke and hydraulic clutch.

🎉 it's the real thing 🎉
But did you order one of the minarellis from them?
I only just noticed that they offer them, I may give it a try.
😛
When you ride a 2 stroke you never lose the motor love 💗 more power but not a junk motorcycle moped/bicycle for life lol 😂
It's been a number of weeks when you installed the bullet train on one of your bikes. Have you had enough time to form a more detailed opinion?

Have you seen the endurance update? It might answer some of your questions.

Needs a better pipe
That's why I went electric. 25mph is about as fast as I want to go on Chinese bike hardware and it's legal here.
A gas bike might be more fun but, I'm getting too old to evade the police.
How often did you get pulled over if you don't mind me asking?
@@Jarrod_D I haven't been with my electric bike. MN considers a ebike a bike. In my younger days, with mini bikes, unlicensed dirt bikes and the like, often persued, but seldom caught. Had one confiscated, but in those days they would often make you walk it home and swear you wouldn't get caught riding it again.
We knew the terrain, and it was more trouble than it was worth to catch you.
about time you ride a real bike :P
I'm a 4 stroke guy, don't hate me :P
I want to run the Salt Flats for an official record. Last I checked, the 50-100cc overhead cam pushrod gas record is just under 45 MPH. I got it easy without a fairing... I'm gonna go with a fairing if I try. Def gonna hit 55 Mph easy with a fairing.
I have a 53cc overbored 49cc 4 stroke. The record for under 50cc overhead cam pushrod gas is around 47 mph. I think the Huasheng 144f is the only engine that is overhead cam pushrod gas between 50-100ccs that is in common use. My engine is only 53ccs. I have ran it to 53 MPH geared for 55 MPH, no fairing but with a good tailwind. I am proud of 53 MPH with a 53cc 4 stroke. It's geared for 47 MPH at 9300 RPM now, climbs hills and exits corners better. I am sure I can claim the Boniville Top Speed Record for 50-100cc Overhead Cam Pushrod Gas Record, even without a fairing. With a fairing, expect a 10 MPH addition to the previous record, minimum.
First?
