- We were fortunate to have strong winds that smoothed out the dunes leading up to our 2023 Little Sahara trip. This made for the best conditions we've ever seen. Unfortunately we also had the roughest start to any dune trip with several of us experiencing mechanical issues. We also lined up this years trip with the Sand Wars drag racing event and it definitely didn't disappoint.

In groups of 3 or more, we always nominate someone to wear a fanny pack with a few tools, gorilla tape, & zip ties. And it comes in handy 10/10 times.

Hey,Pete, awesome vid for my understanding on race fuel VP t4 has oxygen in it shelf life now that's being sealed if is 2yrs, opened is bout 3 weeks the oxygen in fuel soaks up the humidity try c12 and it runs cooler just fyi hope that helps,and again love you vids ❤❤

It's either the fuel pump, coil, or time for a new spark plug - make sure you correctly gap it since you are running higher compression. You need to run a smaller gap
Did you and your friends get any drag races in? Curious to see how all your quads run against each other flat out. And talk about perfect sand conditions. Awesome video.
Unfortunately I didn’t do any races this year. On a positive note, we ended up getting the Raptor to run great the last day. I’m around 60 hp, tyreses blue raptor is around 60. Ian’s black TRX was around 55 I want to say. Chads red TRX is about 60. Most of us are pretty evenly matched 😅

How many paddles are on the sand tire u run?? I actually just started paying attention to that. I’ve never ridden the sand!!😎💪🇺🇸🙏
In this video I'm running ITP sandstars. Most of us run the since they're pretty affordable for the performance. Mine are 8 paddle rears. I'm not sure if you can get them with more or less paddles🤔 For top of the line performance, most dune riders will go with skat traks and have custom tires made for their needs. Having the proper tires can help take a lot of extra workload off your machine since the sand can really rob your power. Hopefully someday you can make it to the dunes. Sand riding is some of my favorite riding for sure 👌🤘

I just installed my Rvs Clutch kit, next will be the pv3 tuner from RVS with a stage 2 tune. Then upgrade them awful halogen headlights lol.

I see the raptor is stuttering it could be the injector. My dads yxz1000 did the same thing after sitting all winter but he put Lucas fuel treatment in and ran it hard. Then it cleaned up and has been fine since.

Just look for the red and black 2008 Honda TRX 700
Man the same thing happened with my yfz but it’s had a recent valve adjustment and had older fuel, we went ahead and diluted the fuel with 110 octane to fill up the tank, ran perfect until the second hour of the trip, started sputtering bad, and after then started backfireing really bad, bike did not run right at all at that moment. Just like the 20:29 minute during the video.

It’s a lonestar 10 inch light bar bracket and the light is made by rigid. It’s the SR-Series Pro with the Spot/Driving Combo beam pattern

It was pretty spendy but it seems like you get what you pay for with lights and I definitely went for the longer term investment

Some times with premium gas you need to use an additive we , normally run VP fuel which is 110 octane
But he isn't on very high compression to warrant high octane race fuel. Though, running a splash of that is a good idea to ensure you're getting at least 93 octane
@@racequad9 I'm not running high compression in my 1985 Honda 3 Wheeler, but it help alot with Corbin build up
