Sea Lion Beach Master

Bull sea lions are the beach masters. They compete for territory and mating rights to the females in an area. The beach master usually hangs on to their control for a few weeks before some younger, stronger male comes along. Contrary to popular belief, the beach master is actually pretty protective of the pups and cows.
