The F101 is an all new foiling trimaran, aimed specifically at those sailors that, for whatever reason, thought foiling was too difficult for them. The concept originates from the experience of teaching many people to foil in the international Moth class, and addressing the main barriers they faced.

What is the skipper weight limit?
I was very interested in dinghy foiling, but I'm disappointed. Every video I have seen of any foiling dinghy shows the skipper constantly working at the main sheet. In, out, in, out, in, out. I see it's recommended. That's no fun in my book. The other big off-putter is the need to heel to windward. This inevitably results in a crash when the wind drops. At least "normal" boats just return to upright when a lull is encountered: which gives the crew time to return to the centre of the boat. The foiler seems to be abandoned hiking out there with no way to correct the angle of the heel when they encounter a lull. It looks incredibly frustrating. Possibly windfoiling seems to "work" better, with more overall control available to the sailor. Cheaper too!
While I like the idea of foiling I can't see still hiking out so much and a wet ride too! I thought the idea of foiling was to get above the chop and sail smooth and dry. Maybe better suited for locations with steadier winds?
