I wonder if you can’t just heat up all of the salvaged pieces, fold them over and make a stiletto, or other thin bladed items? You might also be able to do a “hotdog in a bun” with the other steel, and what you have here? I love your feline mascot, by the way! He/she is beautiful!
Yeah I thought about that aswell. I think I‘ll make a san mai with this piece in the future She was great. A perfect workshop cat that would come up to me and demand pets while i was using the angle grinder 😄 Sadly she passed away earlier this year 😕
@@NjordArtisan Yeah a san mai can be a mountain of a project to climb, but it’s like jumping into water....lake or the ocean......you know it’s gonna be cold as hell, but the only way to do it is to jump right in! And if this does work out, than you’ll see that you are way better than you think you are 😁 I am SO sorry! I lost my cat of 12yrs about a year ago, and it can be like losing a family member sometimes.
Hopefully I can get some time to try it this summer. Ye it really sucks. We had her for 11 years, but I don‘t know how old she was, since we took her in as a stray.
