This is one of the most brilliant comedic scene of all time - I've seen it 50 times and I still laugh every time I see it. As a part-time reserve police officer, I thought the camaraderie, friendly ball-busting, and harmless (mostly) pranking were often similar to what we do in my department - although sometimes they take it to the next level for comedic effect - never did the "meow" thing or the backing up on the highway with smoking tires thing, but a lot of the witty banter among the officers is right on.
I still smile every time I watch this scene. Love it so much. Great way to start a movie. These three guys in the car are so funny. They nailed this. Especially the driver. Cracks me up how he says fries and gravy.
When they stopped, activated their lights and siren and backed up like they did, that had me dying. 😆😆😆😆😆. He's already pulled over, he can't pull over any farther.
Detail that was lost on me the first time: They drove on the grass to get around the pulled over car instead of on the road 😂 its the details in the movie honestly

Now I watch it about 15 years later and it's hilarious. Especially since the cops knew they were high and clearly thought, 'fuck it, we could book 'em, or we could have some fun'.
A while back, I got "arrested" for street racing. Pulled me out the car and had me cuffed on the side of the road. I have an extremely good civil record, so the cop let me go without spending any time in jail. Just impounded my car and made me walk home lol. When I showed up to court(I was extremely anxious) they couldn't find any record for my court case and that was the end of that. That was like 2 years ago

The 1990s was about 4 dudes in a hoopty ride like an Olds 98 or Cadillac Fleetwood. A Frisbee full of a quarter pound and 5paper joints and getting stoned to the bone. Friday Saturday Buddha cruising and joints made of 5 papers licked and like 10gram joints. Back in the day
Never seen this film. Had a stepdad that would constantly quote “do you know how fast you were going?” When I did something wrong. I’d answer “65??” and he’d say “63!” That’s how I knew I fcked up 😂
