The Haters Guide to Super Bowl 56

- This year has been something else. I don't know if there's any other way you can truly describe it. It's been quite unique: Insanity, chaos, and unpredictability have been at the forefront. In what other year would the Cincinnati Bengals end up making the Super Bowl? The Rams were somewhat expected, but them? Enough said.
In this video, nearly everything is (poorly) gone over: Playoff aftermaths and previews of the teams that have made it to the final contest. What else will be in store? Endless rambling? Maybe?

I'm so happy, we finally have a superbowl where I'm not rooting _against_ anyone. Just two likeable groups of young men who worked hard and all deserve to hoist the lombardi. Unfortunately only one may. I'm pulling for Staff and the Rams because I've had to watch the man rot and suffer in Detroit for too long and want to see him finally have success, but the Bengals are every bit as worthy a champion. Should be a fun superbowl.
Exactly I'd love to see Stafford be validated by winning this game, but the Bengals are such a good team that is on a great run. The only way I won't be happy is if it's a blowout.
It definitely makes it a relief for there to be two teams in it who I have nothing against. I'll be happy for either QB for sure.
I absolutely agree with you!

He predicted the Astros would beat us in the WS. Look at what happened there
Edit: NVM. I confused it with how Tree predicts the World Series. He was actually doing well with predicting them. Damnit, the Bengals might lose now.
"The city of Detroit is like a proud father watching his son grow." As a Detroit sports fan nothing could resonate so well with me aside from this
I also am from detroit I remember when they did that stuff for if a few years ago I still ask why
And the Rams gave 2 first round pics and a 3rd, wonder what the Lions will do with them.
Hopefully you'll do well with Dan Campbell he really reminds me of Paul Brown. Creative but simple strategies with attention to detail. Do your job, and even if you aren't the best you got the guy next to you, a lot of the players I hadn't even heard of but were playing like 2-3 year vets.
I hope Deandre and the rest of your young players get a chance with Campbell, more teams need patience like the Bengals gave Zac Taylor. There's been more than a few head coaches that just needed a little time to cook.
If there's any other place that deserves a championship its Detroit, maybe not management but the fanbase, its as loyal a group as I've ever seen. I have a feeling we'll be talking a lot about the Lions in the next couple of years if they stay with that blue collar culture Campbell is creating. From a Bengals fan Who Dey :).
Only thing that could be better is Goff going off and scorching the league for a super bowl…in Detroit.
@@dennisligma4958 As a Rams fan I'd be insanely happy if he did that. I'd be happy for Goff and for the entire Lions franchise, finally being released from their suffering.

Rooting for the Bengals. Whether they win or lose, it’s a phenomenal year, and they’ve shaken off that Bungals nickname.
Not yet they haven't. We need a good season out of them next year, and maybe after that to properly un-Bungle the Bengals. If they don't perform, this season could be seen as a fluke, granted by the gods of chaos themselves.

He “literally” played his heart out? Do you know what “literally” means, you putz?
@@Unknown17 Do you know what hyperbole is, you troll?
@@BenUrquidez Yes, I know what hyperbole is. I have a degree in English grammar. Hyperbole is commonly defined as an extended metaphor. An example of this would be if you had said something like, “He played his heart out. He yanked it out of his chest and left it beating on the field, his blood pouring out his team colors.” See, THAT’S hyperbole. That’s an extended metaphor. Using “literally” to mean “figuratively,” the exact opposite of its meaning, makes you look like you have no idea how to use the language. Calling it hyperbole confirms this, regardless of what some poorly written dictionary or undertrained elementary school teacher taught you. The amazing thing about this Bengals season is how truly out of nowhere it was. If you ran a poll in august asking who would make the playoffs out of the AFC north, the Bengals are more than likely at the bottom of that list.
Oh fr I had them bottom of AFC North hell my fucking Jets beat the Bengals yet some how there in the superbowl ... why
I picked the Browns in first, Ravens in second, Steelers in third, &
Bengals in last, so I agree with u,

It won’t blow my mind if they win. They’ve had enough pain. My whole life they’ve never won a playoff game. They are still a joke of a franchise like the browns, except the browns actually have a practice facility and a podium for their press conferences.
Good for them. Rooting for them next Sunday. Even Bengals fans deserve some semblance of happiness. Hey maybe they can sell out their stadium now. It’s cheaper for me to travel and see a game at Paul Brown Stadium then it is at the Bank in Baltimore. LMAO
As a Bills fan I waited to watch this cause I expected Tree to tear us a new one, but I am pleasantly surprised at how positive it was. Tree putting out all these videos is a gift we don't deserve. Go Bills!
I'll be tearing you a new one. The Patriots have fallen off a cliff but you've won exactly the same AFC Championships as they have the last 3 years. This year was like watching the nerd in high school knock out his bully 20 years later only for Brock Lesnar to snap them in half. Its Superbowl or bust for you guys next year.
@@KHayes666 Sometimes you aren't the better team, it happens. Every player isn't going to be playing to his potential every down, it's life. The fact that they made it this far for 3 years is a testament to the culture they've created and talent they've acquired. All of the final 8 teams were in position to win it all, it all came down to players keeping their head on straight and not making the little mistakes.
Josh Allen makes up for a lot of his teams shortcomings, saying its Superbowl or bust is a little short sighted. I may not be a Bills fan, but if I have Josh Allen under center I'm gonna feel pretty confident about getting a win every week even with an average talent roster.
I would say Mac Jones might even be there in a couple years, he's got a lot of upside, but eh Pats have gotten enough love these past decades heh.

Things that have aged well this NFL season:
1. Trey Hendrickson was the biggest bust of the FA class

I was telling my buddy, a Titans fan, the whole year that this team was different. The culture, the attitude of the players, the media coverage. It was all in by every single person that is a part of the Bengals organization.
You can just see and feel the difference if you've followed the team for years, they don't fall apart when adversity rolls in, it makes them play harder. In interviews the players are actually enjoying their time, where as before it felt off and forced. Coaches and players are wearing their hearts on their sleeve. When a mistake happens the players and coaches address it to the fans, in normal terms, not coach speak. Their self awareness and humble nature is just amazing. The involvement of the fanbase and knowing that the players and coaches really love their city and fans and want to do well for them and want to do better is just something you can't put into words. Heck they've even made strides in modernizing the stadium due to coach Taylor and him wanting to bring us into a livelier and more defined fan culture. Just unbelievable.

The most likable QB matchup… they should have those 2 do the coin toss and have Andrew Luck be the one who flips it.
Two great looking white guys with personality - i love it. They are both badass and I dont mind which one pulls out the win.
In a 5 year window we have seen
The Eagles win a SB over the Patriots led by Nick Foles
Andrew Luck would shockingly retire at a young age after a career season while also going into the next season as a SB contender
Browns had one season of being a legit great team and are now a semi respectable team
The Bills have become a elite SB caliber team who runs the AFC East
Chiefs won a ring and made back to back SBs along with 4 straight AFC CGs
Brady left the Pats and took the Bucs to a SB ring in his first year there
Bengals have now made a SB to face the Matthew Stafford led Rams
Imagine telling someone this a decade ago
You would be laughed at by everyone
You might want to edit that Browns part
Damn the thumbnail makes me feel some kinda way, seeing this as a Bengals fan and still not having it feel completely real is such an amazing feeling.

It's going to be a fantastic game. Go get em, Bengals, you've got a phenomenally exciting team and a lot of cap space this off-season to boot. Chase your destiny. Burrow your way into the hearts of Cincinnati's hungry fans.
that’s pretty creative ngl
God damn it, Tree, you jinxed the bungles 🤣
The bungles??
@@jainefairbairn1279 yes the bungles
I’m picking the Bengals to win because this whole season is a troll
Joey B has absolutely resurrected my Bengals. We truly were living in some very dark times, but his presence alone out on that field makes the Bengals a better team.
Love the addition of Pling Pling Plong towards the end. Thank you tree. ♥️
THE JINX IS BACK
This is the most excited I've been for a super bowl in a LONG time. Finally, two teams with players who I actively want to root for. Sure, Joe Burrow has become a media darling as of late but he isn't insufferable like Brady or Mahomes. Both teams fully deserve to win and I'm sure it will be a great game
How is mahomes insufferable
@@wckiid His brother and fiancée.
@@smb99thx that’s not mahomes, they don’t play on the field

I’d love to see Burrow pull this 1 out. Great seeing the future talent peak already.
Plus the Bengals have tons of cap for next season.
Regardless of how this Super Bowl ends they're going to be ADDING pieces in the offseason.
Watching those Stafford highlights from around 19:34 to 20:54 makes me feel NFL fans really missed out by not being able to see him on a good team much sooner. He might be flawed in a lot of ways, but no one can deny that the man has an arm.
McPherson has 5 game winning FGs, 2 in playoffs, and he was named Nickelodeons MVP. If they win a super bowl he will be the greatest kicker of all time. Not even Tucker has an NMVP or a playoff game winning FG
That isn’t under the kickers control tho
@@voidzminer1017 - A true kicker convinces his team to not score TDs so he can get the glory.
Tucker has an NVP from Week 3 against the Lions
A Super Bowl where I can root for both teams and be satisfied with the outcome whoever wins. It's a dream come true for me.
Side note: McPherson has emerged as one of the top kickers in the NFL this season, especially after the debacle vs Green Bay.
The Bengals are more likable than their former team. As a Steeler fan, I am very proud of them! Hoping these Underdogs win the SB!

16:19 I love it when Tree doesn't know how to use "whom" but still puts it wherever he feels like it lmao
I'm rooting for the Rams. I'd be happy if the Bengals won, but Matthew Stafford has suffered for too long and deserves this ring. I'm all aboard the Staffords Revenge Tour train.
Oh fr see Burrow is a young rising star odds are he will get a ring sooner rather then later but Stafford ? This is genuinely his last chance to win a ring the modern John Elway story of course minus the previous superbowl losses but still that man deserves it also I'd love to see OBJ get a ring because of how much that would piss Baker off
Stafford just deserves it, absolutely.
@@dusk6159 I think the team of Cincinnati deserves it more than one Rams player.
Truly never thought my team would be the subject of one of these videos. It's been a long road. Brings tears to my eyes. Who Dey!
I'm a Ravens fan, but I want the Bengals to win so much. They've been suffering for years with horrible teams. They deserve it.
Thanks man. It's an honor to be rivals against y'all
Exact same thoughts. Im a Browns fan and have been rooting for the Bengals since the playoffs started and to see them come this far is AWESOME
I only don’t want the Bengals to win because of Eli Apple lol. Also this is probably the only good opportunity Stafford will get for a ring so I want the rams to win. Unfortunately though, tim the tatman picked the Rams, and he’s been wrong about every single one of his nfl predictions this season, so I put money on the bengals. Cant say no to free money lol.
"Buffalo dragged New England tied to the back of their car down 90 going 90" LMFAO
As a bengals fan. I love this video. I was a bengals fan since before the bandwagon even started so this is extremely exciting for me.
The SB matchup in a nutshell:
a team (the Bengals) incapable of properly starting a game against a team (the Rams) who struggles mightily at finishing one.
Which kinda give away who got the best chance of winning it all.
Imagine the Greatest superbowl video if this gets so crazy?
As a Ravens fan, I recognize that I SHOULD hate the Bengals. A very close family member (who lives and breathes football, I should add) wants to see them buried. The thing is, I just can’t hate them. They haven’t been in this position in DECADES. Yes, my fellows will probably crucify me for saying this. But should they win, I can say right now that I would not have it in me to hold it against them. I’d honestly be happy for them. In my opinion, they earned this.
been watching since 51 and keeps getting better and better
I can't even begin to describe the joy I felt hearing Ram It underneath the Rams preview. From the Golden Age of "I Guess Every Sports Team Needs To Record Their Own Song"
Grew up 45 minutes from Athens, OH. One of my old coworkers used to say his crowning achievement was that in high school he got to sack Joe Burrow. He's the reason I have respect for LSU as a WV native. And he's also the reason why I hope the Bengals win it all. He's the local hero in my book
Are the Bengals popular in West Virginia? I kinda thought the Steelers were big there but maybe that’s only in the Northern part of the state
@@coyotelong4349 It's mostly Steelers fans though I see some Bengals and Browns fans every now and again. I'm personally a Raiders fan after being born and having family back out west

Whatever happens, I want McPherson to nail (at least) 3 FG to take the single postseason record. How cool would that be? Been a fan of his since his Pat McAfee interview.
As a Rams Fan, i wish us all a great matchup. We made it here and we want this trophy, so many guys on our roster are running out of time. We need this one.
But Cincy, if you find a way to win it, you will earned this one and i would also respect this.
I see us as the favorites, but to be honest I expect a tight one. The Bengals are awesome this season.

Yes, the Bengals have some work to do....but I think the Rams have definite cracks that can be exposed and exploited.

The last time you had a Superbowl without an antagonist was Colts/Bears 15 years ago. The Bears were the underdogs with nothing to lose (Cincy) and the Colts were the perennial contender trying to get over the hump (Rams).
Now we’re near the playoffs again. So far the bengals might actually make it back and actually win it all. As for Los Angeles, holy shit
rams were the real fluke
Also injured to hell
@@Ohbrodda I don't think so. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if they were a playoff team next year if Stafford has a good year. They just lost some key guys, defense is aging, and Allen Robinson was a total FA bust. if 2 of your best players get hurt on top of all that your bound to have a bad year.
My compliments, that video was absolutely incredible!
Super Bowl 56 is literally the football equivalent of _The Karate Kid_ - the underrated underdog hero with plenty of untapped talent vs. the merciless star-powered team led by an evil sensei (Kroenke).
The only difference is that the fighter for the antagonist team isn't a douche. Stafford's worth cheering for.
Rams are about to sweep the leg.
@@TsorovanZero I was just about to say, if anything Stafford fits the description of underdog hero more than Burrow. If you switched the quarterbacks on the teams, it would make a lot more sense to have Cincy in the Daniel-San role hahahaha
As a biased St. Louis native, I'm hoping Kroenke's "dream team" gets embarrassed on their home field in glorious fashion.
I really hope Joe Burrow wins it all. That would be one hell of a story.
Very surprised to see these two teams playing in the annual New England Patriots Invitational this year, especially the Bengals. No real dog in this fight but gotta go with the AFC team.

I'm rooting against the Rams because of Kroenke himself. I can't get over the fact his actions made a man kill himself.
I'm rooting for the Bengals because I despise the superteam notion myself. Fuck the teams that made that shit viable in the NBA for so long, especially in the 2010's! Thank God the NBA's (mostly) recovering from that period with teams like the Suns & Bucks showing you can be competitive without resorting to drastic measures like that!
What the heck did Kroenke do to receive the ire of everyone? And what did he do to make someone feel like killing themselves was the only option?

The last time the Bengals were in the Super Bowl, Phil Collins had a single #1 on the Billboard Hot 200. Wild.
Simpsons haven't even aired their first episode yet. 😳
Honestly though one could say Phil Collins was still relevant at the time the Rams won their first super bowl (due to Tarzan). You want a crazy music fact to go with that just remember that Freddie Mercury was still alive when the bengals were last in the super bowl.
Also what song?
In 1988, (George W. Bush's father) George Bush became the first American to finish his tenure as vice-president by being elected president since Martin Van Buren in 1836 (Don't ask!).
I still can't believe the Chiefs blew it after a 21-3 lead. All they pretty much needed to win was that additional field goal at the end of the 2nd. It's crazy how one major mistake throws off the mojo of a team. The Chiefs as a whole definitely has some growing up to do.
Yeah, they have alot of growing up to do if they want to get to their 5th conference championship in a row😂

Kudos to Brady for retiring without a single thank you to the Patriots organization or fans. I am capable of forgiveness after 22 years of his bullshit.

Absolutely an amazing and hilarious video, earned a new sub!
despite tree, i am glad they added the 7th seed, i think it sets up humiliating memes for when a 2 seed does lose. also, who wouldn't want to see a 3 or 4 seed with a second home game? assuming it had been the chargers instead of the steelers, the chiefs chargers game would likely have been a reasonable match. since the titans didn't have it, i would not have been surprised if the 3rd seed bills would have had homefield advantage with this. both 3rd and 4th seeds get homefield potential with the addition of this new position.
While adding a 7th team is unnecessary, I think erasing the bye for the 2 seed helps with playoff parity. Since the NFL started the 14-team playoff format last year, 3/4 teams in the Super Bowl (#5 Bucs, #4 Bengals, #4 Rams) have been seeded 4 or worse. Easy to believe that without having to now play 3 games instead of 2 to get in, at least one 2 seed (2020 Bills & Saints, 2021 Chiefs & Bucs) makes the Super Bowl in either year.
if the chargers won, the chargers woulda played the bills and the steelers would still play the chiefs. If they tied, raiders woulda played kc and chargers played buffalo.
