  • In this video, I delve into the intricacies of how to paraphrase to avoid plagiarism, focusing on using AI tools effectively. Paraphrasing is an essential skill, especially in academic writing, where it's crucial to restate ideas in your own words while retaining the original meaning. One of the key aspects of successful paraphrasing is understanding how to avoid plagiarism. This means not just changing a few words here and there but truly synthesizing the information in a new way.

However, merely relying on these tools is not enough. Effective paraphrasing involves understanding the content fully. One technique I recommend is explaining the information to someone else or even to an inanimate object. This practice forces you to put the ideas into your own words naturally.
I emphasize the importance of reviewing and editing the paraphrased text. It’s essential to ensure that the language used is genuinely your own. By reading the text aloud, you can identify phrases that don’t match your usual speaking style and adjust them accordingly.
Finally, I highlight the importance of citing sources to maintain academic integrity. Using AI tools can help inform your paraphrasing process, but it's vital to ensure that you provide proper attribution to the original authors.
Throughout the video, I stress that using AI tools for paraphrasing can be incredibly helpful, but it should be done thoughtfully and with an understanding of the underlying content. This approach not only helps you avoid plagiarism but also enhances your writing skills.

How does Chat GTP compare to these tools in your experience? With suitable prompts, is it similar?

I just stumbled upon you channel and appreciate your videos, but I have a few suggestions. Would you consider leaving the screenshots up longer? Also, including the website addresses and app names as an overlay, would be extremely helpful.
Thank you for your consideration! 😁

Im looking for an AI tool where I can feed it with pdfs to generate me a similar text taking the given files as reference. Is there an AI tool for that?

I find Word's 'read aloud' feature to be a good way to check if the AI output actually sounds like me.

"... just put in your own citations like a normal person." - Hey! 😛
Nothing wrong with being more efficient and having software worry about everything being formatted and punctuated correctly.
Update: That said, I just realized that they're charging 11€/month for that. As an undergraduate student who writes maybe 2-3 brief papers per year, I'm gonna have to pass.
