Great video! BUT you forgot something! How can a video about jabs exist without mentioning that you can set a turkey leg on FIRE and then jab with it which sets your opponent on fire. Super op, super bm, best jab strat
from 2:07 to 2:15 is just Chivalry's soul in a nutshell, you got the original knights VA, the absurdity of the jabs and the emphasis they both put in the grunts during wind up and after getting hit, it's just perfect! XD
The Mason footman original va is prolly my favorite because it's borderline anti acting

I have been wanting to get better with jabs for so long now, but everytime I play it's like my brain turns off and I go on autopilot and forget to use it. I finally started to force myself and it's made a huge difference. I now jab everytime I get hit, and it definitely saves me a few deaths and gets me a few more kills every game. Great video!
yeah same here... i always forget about jabs and kicks :D
PROTIP: You can duck and lean back to easily dodge a jab. So if you hit an opponent and expect them to jab, duck and lean back. They should miss, giving you an opportunity to get a hit in.
Very good point brother! Sometimes if they're really face hugging you they might still hit but generally this does work well.
i find jab very useful in those 1vX situations where you are not the outnumbered one. Instead of trying to spam-hit, jab his counter/riposte and the enemy is instant dead. You can also get in with a kick if the enemy is block waiting for incoming attacks.
How does the best content on chiv 2 only get you 2.25k...

A chicken that is on fire can burn enemies if you jab them while holding it :)

Good video but I think a portion of it should have been dedicated to crouches and how people use it to dodge jabs and how some people step back and combo attacks to avoid jabs
I plan on making a movement and crouch guide that will cover this. This video was mainly for when and how to use jab. 🙂
Highlander sword is definitely a weapon I jab a lot with, too slow to try to start swing with so just jab em and crouch overhead

I play on controller and I have a super hard time landing jabs because the button is also tied to ducking, also have a hard time landing overheads and stabs. Any tips on either keybinds or info on when it's more effective to jab?
I'm with you. The stabs and overheads take a bit of time to figure out but jabs I still struggle with

In big fights, it is often that a single jab is enough to get the enemy to his knees.
In ps R3 is for jab. And holding it is for crouching, so it's so hard. Wish we could change it

I've been trying so hard to get better at jabs. Great video, but I noticed that you didn't mention leading. In an actual fight they're probably trying to grt around you and so they're moving. It seems to me you have to lead the target. I'll feel like I jabbed successfully but did not and that's usually enough to have my head chopped off lol
Additional jab tips: they are faster after a normal attack drag or missing a stab / OH

My jabs are so inconsistently shit it's disheartening.
I feel like they just don't register half of the time and quite often they don't even come out.
There is an issue right now with jabs that affect their range if looking to far up or down (a crouching opponent). I think the upcoming 2.7 patch is changing them to make their range more consistent with regards to jabbing high or low so hopefully that helps you out!
How do I jab on controller?
On Xbox One it’s R3 (right analog stick). It’s the same button you use to crouch. Quickly press R3 to Jab, press and hold R3 to crouch.

Ive been attempting to play chivalry 2 on Xbox one for about 2 months now. Idk what it is I’m not understanding but I can’t enjoy it when forced to fight PC players 25/8.
I can’t be the only console player who feels this way.
some of those people are playstation players, and there really isn’t a big difference/ benefit to playing chiv on pc over console. please let go of this mentality, improve, and you’ll be top on the leaderboard in 64 player matches and be able to hold your own in duels.
@@xClownpiece untrue. Playing Xbox one Chivlary 2 is significantly worse than other consoles. If you're on PS5 or a new Xbox series console then you're right but homie said Xbox one and I bet he means original. Cause I have 150 hours on that shit and the difference is night and day vs when I play on PC
