- In this video, I will be reviewing the Xbox Series X and discussing how it holds up after 3 years of use. The Xbox Series X has really stuck to its amazing formula while still making some minor changes, and we're gonna see just how well everything in the Xbox Series X is holding up. I just got a PS5 a few months ago. I had a dozen back log of games on both my PS4 and XBOne S. I got a NSwitch 7 months before the c19 Pandemic lock down. Now I have a back log of a dozen games on the Switch. (From discounted sales & games college buddies didn't play anymore) Sold my PS4 and XB1S. I got a massive Federal and State Tax refund also.
Now, it's not about the money. It's the time. I still haven't even started the PS5 version of Spiderman. With my job back in full swing, I don't have as much recreation time/ free time as I did during the pandemic. But, with a bunch of video games still to play, it'll be at least 6 months before I have the time to get a Series X. Oh well. @@BreakHarpe

I just got the Xbox Series X earlier this year. It's still worth it imo. I'm a casual gamer so I'm not hard to please but it's been a great device. No issues and plenty fun.

I bought the Xbox X because I wanted something to get my mind off of work and responsibilities when I'm trying to relax. I couldn't decide between Xbox and PS5 so I got them both. Love both systems. I got the Gamepass ultimate too because I have a bit of a short attention span with games. I like to have a variety since I lose interest pretty fast. COD is the only one I go back to often.
I'm a PS5 owner but I'm definitely getting a Series X ASAP!!!

Bought a used day one last two weeks and had no regrets. Reliving backwards compatibility! plus in most cases, the super sale deals are cheaper on xbox. But obviously exclusives are better on PS. Just preference I guess, but for me, nothing beats nostalgia. Where my 90's kids at?! 💯
I caught a stupid deal on a Series X at the pawn shop for $100 last week. The shop said it wouldn't power on and it was broken. It fired up and plays perfectly (not banned either). I have a Series S as well and travel with it. Definitely worth it!!!

Backwards compatibility is key. I've been with XBOX since the original and reverted to buying my games digitally as soon as it was possible on the 360. When I first powered on my Series X and signed in, I had over 70 games available to me from the previous generations. It ain't perfect but it's a really good system. Thanks for the great video!

I absolutely love my purchase . I bought mines during Covid and it’s been very efficient. No overheating issues , still very quiet , has enough ports for external HDD space , controller is good . My personal favorite is the backwards compatibility with fps boost for most of the titles . I’m able to experience so many games from previous generations that I missed out on due to poor performance . The fact I can digitally still use all of my purchases throughout the years with other Xbox consoles is a great value . Game pass is a godsend for my wallet , and imo I preferred Xbox titles more than Sonys
I bought a series x last october. I still own a PS5 and switch but I honestly havent touched them much. The backward compatibility was what brought me to getting an Xbox after skipping the Xbox one era for PS4. Funny enough I wanted to replay Red Dead Redemption on xbox since that was the best way to play it. Seems now that the ps4 and switch versions are out its still the best way to play it since it has online multiplayer that still gets pretty populated on weekends.
I love my series x. Ive had every generation of xbox so my library is huge & with gamepass ive found games that i wouldve never thought about buying or some i never knew existed...I just got onto Assassin's Creed Origins. I knew about it but never played the older ones but i stumbled up on Assassin's Creed Origins & fell in love with it. Im a big fan of ancient Egypt. The cloud gaming is pretty good also. B4 i download a game i play it on cloud 1st to see if i like it In my opinion 1 of xbox main exclusive they should've pushed is the Gears of War. That is 1 of the main reasons i became team xbox during the 360 era...Thats 1 series i play over & over again (which i rarely do) Every last 1 of them are good & each 1 better than the last & its krazy for all 6 to be free on gamepass. I recently bought a PS5 STRICTLY for Spider-Man 2...I LOVE that series too so far. I was trying to hold out but youtube kept having it pop up in my recommendations 😂😂...I think people put too much into "Exclusives" b/c most dont really love every single exclusive. They have their select ones, as do I. The only 2 Exclusives on PS5 I care about is Spider-Man & maybe god of war. Everything else i play is on both consoles. People also 4get u get discounts on games that dont even fall up under gamepass. Xbox have sales all month every month on something. Including new games that just came out, hardware, controllers, movies, etc. Not to mention backwards compatibility. I play Fight Night Champion like it just came out yesterday lol. I got the digital PS5, so i 4got i had the disc of Spider-Man PS4, i went to the ps store thinking i was going to buy it again for maybe $20...They charged me $54!!! Xbox doesn't get down like that. So yea in my opinion xbox is the better choice for ur pockets in the long run
yes i hve. my xbox one (day one edition) finally just stopped working after 10 years (almost to the day). i picked up a series x and upgraded my old 1080p 60hz monitor to a gigabyte m28u (4k 144hz monitor) and all i can say is wow o wow i have been missing out on alot of graphics both from the monitor and console. the resolution output is insane and 60fps that i play on story games like halo infinite is amazing. i also love the 120fps mode for multiplayer games like r6, cod, and halo. it was worth it and now i am kicking myself for waiting 3 years to upgrade
The Elite Series 2 controller is so comfortable and I now would have a hard time living without four back buttons after using the Elite controlling for awhile.

I bought the Series X due to the lack of stock and high prices for PS5’s and graphics cards. I have been using it since and I would say it was a pretty great purchase! Along with the further rise of prices for Playstation and their new models coming out, this is still a great purchase.

Never thought I would sat this but I'm switching over to Xbox as of today. Been with ps all my life but with the recent ps plus price hike it's not worth it anymore. From what I understand and correct me if I'm wrong, f2p games don't require a pass to play online on Xbox like they do on ps. I mostly play f2p games and if I don't have to pay 2 play online like I do ps then it's a no Brainer for me. Game pass is also more beneficial the ps plus should i go that route. Thanks 4 the information in video helped me make the switch!
If you are patient, then you can usually wait for Gamestop to run a sale and get games that are a year or so old but still sealed. I just bought Elden Ring for 22.5 for example. Now it does kind of suck having to wait to play, but I'm pretty busy with life in general and there is always a game to play at the moment anyways
I bought xbox series x last year but had it for 2 months then sold it to a pawn shop due to short on rent, buying another xbox series x next Friday 2nd 1 this time keeping it and love flight

Just bought it, it’s a lot of fun! The game pass is exceptionally good with the new and old titles, many of which I haven’t played for years! Halo was one of my bigger draw backs to Microsoft.

I love the xbox ecosystem my first xbox was the xbox one s I upgraded to the xbox series x I love my xbox series x I got it October 2022. I put it next to my playstation 5 I gotta say xbox game pass ultimate is very beneficial I got starfield with the premium edition upgrade. I barely buy games on my xbox series x thanks to xbox game pass ultimate I usually buy the xbox 360 games digitally. I demo most games on game pass if I like them I buy them on my playstation 5 only if it’s multiplayer I have most my close friends I grew up with on playstation so it’s my main console. I’m looking forward to playing payday 3 i’ll definitely have it on game pass day one also buying it on my playstation 5 as well i’ve been with xbox for five years & playstation since the 90’s enjoying both worlds.🥂😁
i grew up with xbox and xbox one one i grew up so one the playstation 5 came up i tried it had pretty good games ngl but one i got the series x its cpu and gpu are alot better actually and the controllers got good grip Xbox is on top

As someone who has been abusing my Xbox one X since the day of its release I can promise you that now that I finally have gotten the series X The improvements between the two consuls are amazing and well worth the money

I've had mine for a little over a year and gamepass was my main reason for buying it.
Just used a PS5 for the first time at an Airbnb I was at. Didn’t even know how to turn it on, let alone the controller lol. Finally figured it out but there was no games on it really besides free games. Wish they had the Xbox so I could just sign in and have GamePass to download all the games I have at home. I have 2 series s and 1 series X. I always bring the series s when traveling for the kids
If you had PS, you could have logged in also and downloaded your games. Just preference
I like xbox, I've always had one and my last one finally died after slowly corroding due to water damage from a house fire when I was in middle school, it lasted until sophomore year of Highschool without a problem (ended up getting a ps4 for a while) so I got one since it was 399 with a 50 dollar gift card during Black Friday at Best Buy. Got the last one from job and used the 50 bucks to get a tv that was on sale before the end of Black Friday. I've really enjoyed it so far, and my uncle got a ps5 so I can play COD downstairs since I don't like playing FPS on xbox's lay out of controller. I like the feel of the Xbox X controller, it looks great and it feels great with that grippy material on the back.

As someone who owned and cycled thorough the ps5, ps5 digital, xbox SX, xbox SS, Xbox SS carbon black. I can say that nothing compares to the Xbox SX, that’s the only one I play on.

Originally I bought a PS5 from Walmart (all ready have a XBONE X) during the pandemic but FEDEX sniped it. So when Walmart refunded me, I got a SeriesX. Never had any regrets.

erm both of the controllers are the elite version its just the red one is the core which doesn't come with the accessories to cut the price you can also buy them separately.

It is if tv made by LG or some other brand that favor Dolby vision for gaming and streaming entertainment otherwise may as well get PS5 which only support HDR tech as far I know at this time.

I got one since they advertised that you could play all of your old Xbox game disc’s on it…….but they didn’t work, at least none of them I tried ! None of the EA or other name brand games ! Turns out it’s a very limited list of games that will ! This really pissed me off…..so much I returned it and will happily play on my Xbox 360 instead !
Starfield is a fun game people just get over worked about 30 FPS or 60 FPS or 120FPs. I admit it stunned me to see it at 30 but the more i play it on console and pc its not that big a deal the graphics are still strong its a beautiful game and you can get lost in the open world. In my opinion higher frames are really for multiplayer shooters to be honest

I’m a Nintendo fan. My first console was the NES in 1988. Played PC in my teens in the 90’s.
Series X is my first non Nintendo console. It was a good economical choice compared to buying a gaming PC (I’m a Mac user).
Why Xbox instead of PS5? Because of Ultimate Gamepass.
As someone who's owned a ps5 for 2 years and has also bought ps plus ultimate lately idk if I'm just bored of gaming but tbh ps5 is really starting tire me (yes even their great exclusives), before I bought one I was highly considering buying an Xbox series X/S since I've owned an xbox 360 and one in the past so I was highly familiar with them even later on I bought a ps4 and played on that but now I'm starting to wonder if I should just buy either Xbox because I feel like I should've bought one instead of ps5, anyone who owns one il highly appreciate any feedback or advice.
Hey. So i just got a series X last week. My parents aren't that well off so as a kid I always got a console when the next gen was out and old gen got cheaper. I started a job 2 years ago and was finally in the position to buy a current gen console and after careful deliberation and months of agonizing research I chose the xbox. Primarily because I was comfortable with the xbox environment as the last console I had was 360. The main thing that sold me was more raw power, quick resume and game pass. I recently had my cousin over and he owns a ps5 so i asked him to give his feedback. He was blown away by the quick resume feature. But as far as graphics and overall performance is concerned he said there isn't much difference. The only thing at this point is the games catalogue. Ps has some really great titles which I miss playing since I also had a preowned ps4 for few months and I didn't think ill miss playing god of war and spiderman but I kind of do. But more than that I am a crazy fan of the hellblade game and the next one is to come out next year and i think that would really cure my ps4 exclusive blues. I dont know whats the value that ps subscription offers but I am sure it would be good as well. However, since I have missed playing a lot of games due to skipping console generations and just playing whatever my pocket would allow me to get, game pass would keep me occupied for quite a while. The only thing i hate about xbox is the standard controller. It is okay but its no dual sense and after playing my cousins ps5 i can say for sure that dual sense is on a whole different level. And i cant believe that in 2023 they still have a controller with a battery pack instead of usb charging. I think i would move to the elite controller after a while but its way too expensive here in india to be a good value proposition. To summarize if you take out the controller out of the equation which i dont think one should as it contributes to the overall gaming experience, one can be indifferent between xbox and ps5 because both offer a good catalogue of games. Even if a game is not included in game pass, the xbox store has a lot of discounts on almost all games. One important factor is that since ps5 has sold more units theres a good chance that more people around you have a ps5 and it really helps in terms of sharing subscriptions, accessories and games.

And one more thing sorry for rambling but if you already have a ps5 you'll be better off getting the new series s carbon black with the 1 tb ssd. The only perceivable drawback of that console is not being able to play 4k but for powerful gaming you already have the PS. So just get the S for exploring xbox titles.
@@Ludmila_MatondkarI would have to disagree, he wants to play the titles not explore them. And the series s isn’t a good choice overall. Starfiled won’t be a good experience on it, same with most newer games. The series s is already struggling to get the games going. The series s 1tb is 350$, i see no problem with paying 150$ more for 3 times the experience, speeds and features.
Also the PS5 isn’t exactly a “powerhouse” a powerhouse is a PC not a console. And even if you want to call a console a “powerhouse” that title belongs to the series x by a mile. The ps5 has better exclusives and seems to be as powerful because of game optimization.
@@Ludmila_Matondkar tbh i don't really care if it's not 4k because for a small console especially the new 1tb black model it's fantastic, also I care a lot more about having the familiar history of all my games in one console than just for exclusives but it's still cool how you can play them day 1 on game pass.
I got both a series X and ps5 this year, ps5 feels more next gen and i treat it as my free weekend long day gaming console but the X i use if i've only got a quick hour or 2

Microsoft has oddworld, brute, force, fusion frenzy, project Gotham, death row, NFL fever, jet set radio, morrowind dead rising. So many exclusives and timed exclusives. After 360, i started to feel like "how come I'm playing so many 3rd party games". It's like they dug a tiny hole that they can jump out of. But without exclusives, the vertical jump is gonna take more muscle. Like what they're doing with buying companies but they need another pure exclusive. Maybe 3 more. Then sh*t will get serious. The exclusive games are not too many. But the multiplatform games, on the other hand, are a dime a dozen. The gamepass is also amazing. So I would purchase Xbox series X for it's powerful hardware which is stronger than PS5 and its unique services.

Don't think you mentioned its massive future of games and the acquisitions that will change the scope drastically.
Bethesda and Activision are under Xbox meaning its going to ger crazy with the exclusives and the overall future of Xbox. Starfield is breaking records and is a masterpiece. Theres no downplaying it. Halo infinite is always growing and its still going strong 2 years on. Forza motorsport is about to drop day one on gamepass. Something thats just not to be compared with on other platforms like ps5 or Nintendo switch. Day one games on gamepass is insane value. Backwards compatibility across all 3 xbox gens. Many games given fps boosts and 4k and wide screen. Its just never been a better time to grab an Xbox series X. You will more games to play than you will have time for.

I've been a PS gamer since PS1. I've had all PS systems. I HAD to buy the XBox Series X just so I can play Starfield. So basically the cost of admission to Starfield is the cost of an XBox and the game itself which sucks, but I love Bethesda, even if they made me pay $500+ to play their new game.

I sold my PS5 over my Series S due that I wasn't playing it as much as I was on the Xbox. Don't get me wrong PS5 is a solid console and has a good library of games but I focused more time on the Xbox. Why I ended up selling my PS5. I went with what was more comfortable & convenient for me.
